Thanks bring, that's reassuring. I suspect the NHS would make me be under a consultant & give birth in the hospital. Really don't know how I'd cope with that. Still, I think I'm getting rather ahead of myself - no idea if she's even going to need a transplant yet!

Happy birthday Kitten! Cake

Presents... erm... yes, we've totally thought about what we're going to get Runt... Blush In our defence, it's still 3 weeks until his birthday! Got loads of time yet! I might suggest a scooter for him - he had a lovely time standing on a friend's scooter the other day. Just standing mind, not going anywhere! Grin Would cause huge problems with Calf though if we only got one & I don't think we're at the stage of trusting them both next to roads enough to let them scoot anywhere!

AGnu · 19/05/2015 18:14

Not getting ahead of myself at all. Sometime in the next 2 years. Stupid crappy cruel world! SadAngry

bringonthetrumpets · 19/05/2015 21:48

Awww birthday babies! M is the youngest on the bus so she's not till mid-next month!

Aww, bummer. Did she get more news on the kidney then, agnu?

kittykatsforever · 19/05/2015 22:58

I only spent abit Agnu got a few peppa pig toys second hand, I could have bought better things but felt if we do move that it's just another thing to lug about Hmm our house we wanted to buy has been pulled to so not the happiest about that
We had a good bday though although didn't do much only a cousins party picnic avert your eyes beingand lots of cake!!
Any news Agnu fx as bring says it's not the end and she may not need a transplant lets hope

AGnu · 19/05/2015 23:04

Yes, saw her consultant this afternoon & hasn't spoken to anyone since. I might go awol for a bit. Not sure how chatty I'm going to be! I'll be back when my brain has thoughts other than "my baby sister might die"! Sad

Agnu - I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope your DH is able to give you lots of support and hugs in the next coming days whilst discussions progress!

Kitty - Aww Kitten's birthday sounds lovely Smile I totally get now why parents don't buy so much for dc2! It so quickly mounts up with dc1 Blush I am just hoping that this means I spend less with dc2...probably totally naive!!

TTC update...I've been charting my temperature and it looks like I laid an egg last Sunday so technically I am now dpo 3 Grin

I stayed up late last night to bake a cake for bpear. I've got to try again at nap time today Hmm It didn't rise very much at all. I am so rubbish at baking!! I can only assume that I over mixed Blush

Happy belated birthday to kitten! Can't believe 2nd birthdays are upon us!

Agnu hope your sister's doing okay. Must be very scary. I'm quite interested in the kidney issues actually. My Dnephew (4 months younger than DS) had two kidney infections while very young. One of his kidneys is now only doing 25% of the work, instead of 50% and my Dsis has been advised the every, single time he has a raised temp he's to go to A&E to be checked for a kidney infection as they don't want its functionality to get any worse. If it does, they'll remove that kidney. My Dsis is relieved they're not taking it out now but it was a shock to hear he'd been so badly affected. His other kidney functions well though so I don't think transplants are anything they're talking about at this stage.

peardrop2 · 24/05/2015 13:54

Hello Smile Happy bank weekend to everyone and just happy weekend to Bring Wink How is everyone? I've had a lovely weekend celebrating bpears birthday. Little Tikes knocked on my front door and literally took over my garden within minutes ??

TTC update...I'm now on week 2 of the 2ww and I'm literally pulling my hair out.! Temperature took a massive nose dive this morning so the egg has either landed or exploded. I calculated that this is the 7th cycle of serious TTC so that explains why I am a TTC maniac. Basically I'm beyond distraction . Still, time will tell! Blush

Awww happy birthday to all the little ones on the bus!

It's a "bank" holiday here too, pear Memorial Day Weekend is the name of the game over here and DH managed to get Friday and Monday off. We took a 2 hr road trip south east of where we live on Friday and it's so gorgeous! We had fun just going through old original settlements with the kids and went to an Eagle Center. Then yesterday we took the kids to the zoo and my eldest was very fascinated with the shark petting tank. The glass is about hip-level so that the kids could touch the leopard sharks while they swim by. Well..... DS1 managed to lean over a little too far and FELL IN! The splash was terrific, the gasps of all the people around (because OF COURSE it was opening weekend of a new animal exhibit in that exact area of the zoo) and I had to haul the 50 lb little shit out of the water by one arm whilst holding M so that she wouldn't run off. DS was SOAKED (basically everything that wasn't the arm that I managed to grab as he dove in) and sobbing because he was mortified. The guy who was hanging around the tank giving advice and talking about the animals just came over and wrapped a towel around him and said that it was the 4th time it happened that day! Ha! I couldn't stop laughing! Then last night when I went in to take him and #2 to the bathroom before we went to bed, DS1 just kept saying that he didn't want to stay at the zoo in his sleep. Grin Oh the memories that we will have from that place!

EEEKKK! Nearly there Pear! I can't wait for you to POAS!

Lorelei353 · 27/05/2015 09:39

So where are you now pear? Halfway through 2nd week of TWW?

I think I'm about 2 days DPO. Not charting or anything but based on start of last AF and also by CM over the last week I reckon I'm about there. Not sure we timed DTD that well but we'll see!

bringonthetrumpets · 27/05/2015 14:30

Oh my gosh, I'm in bean-watch heaven right now. TWO bus riders are getting ready to POAS.

pppppssssssssttttt.... where IS everyone?

Hmm
peardrop2 · 27/05/2015 22:06

Sorry I'm just hiding in self pity. Took a test at 10dpo and got a bfn today. Temperature has taken a massive nose dive again this morning so that pretty much signs me off for this month. On other news I've started a no cake, sweets or pudding diet because my jeans zip has started to slide Shock It is so ridiculously hard to not sit on the sofa and eat that I've taken to early nights!!

Sorry this won't be the month pear but well done on the healthy eating! DH cut sugar (cakes, sweets, chocolate, biscuits) out entirely in Jan. We only ever had them in the house because he bought them but of course he got me hooked and has now given up. Even worse, he's very sweet so he buys me little treats all the time that I'm not eating all by myself!

bringonthetrumpets · 28/05/2015 19:20

There is just something lovely about sending kids off to school, eh, Frus? Hope there is some napping going on at your house today! We are officially off school for the summer in about 2 weeks. We've got the boys signed up in about 4 different things to use up the time and thoroughly wear them out. When does school start the summer holiday over there?

Ahhh shit Pear I'm sorry. I know that doesn't fix it, but I'm thinking of you and hope there is some comfort in knowing that we're all here for you!

Great news on the healthier eating too! we may have gotten a bit slack in that department lately

kittykatsforever · 28/05/2015 19:20

Oh pear HmmWineThanks I know that long wait. It's shit
BringShock sounds like they may have to re think a knee high pond now, 4 children aday lol you couldn't write it!
We have made an offer on a house we can't afford our other fell through, I'm seriously shitting it about how we will be able to afford it and it definetly writes off any plans for a number three! It wouldn't be at all financially do able mixed feelings

peardrop2 · 28/05/2015 21:59

Thanks ladies. I was feeling terrible about it all (not helped by my friend ringing twice this week to tell me about her second dc pregnancy announcement...talk about rubbing salt). Anyway, I'm now focusing on my long brilliant LP (12 dpo tomorrow) and my new weight loss plan . Talking of weight loss. I weighed myself this morning only to hear from DH tonight that the scales are broken! Hopefully when the new scales arrive I will weigh less then today's predictions!! Everyone in this house including bpear weighed 10stone 10lbs today Grin

Bring - are the boys still talking about their shark attack? Shock

Kitty - wow that's exciting and scary Shock Grin Would a 3rd child really cost that much? Don't they say once you have 2 you may as well have 3?

OP posts:
bringonthetrumpets · 28/05/2015 22:13

Ugh, that's really shitty Pear ! The last thing you'd like to be told about from someone else! I don't want to be too Pollyanna about it, but you're only 10 DPO...! There's still 4 more days! Side note: I think somehow freakishly over the internet our cycles have managed to synch b/c our periods keep ending up being at like the same time! Currently "working" from bed with horrendous cramps. Ugh. But, really hoping it's just me with a period this month and not you! I still have my fingers crossed for you!

And that really made me laugh about BPear being 10St10lbs!

Lol kitty yeah, it was ridiculous. We are still all talking about it over here. DS1's shoes smelled like the sewer so they got tossed and we gotta go buy him some new ones this weekend and hope that they at least don't get wet in shark tanks or are outgrown for at least 2-3 months, let's hope!

I hope the house works out for you! Did you put in an offer for less than the asking price? Will that make a difference at all? Maybe you could have a sneaky #3? Wink

My husband would argue that statement pear. He was so worried about being outnumbered. I would think that if you have 3 you might as well have 4 would be more like it. Already outnumbered, already have chaos in your house, people already ask you if they're all yours or comment on having your hands full... might as well have another, right!? Grin

peardrop2 · 28/05/2015 22:17

Bring...11dpo!! Don't try and shave a day off GrinGrin I know it's early...I'm not used to having longer LPs as I haven't been going passed 9dpo in previous cycles. I will be testing with a cheap internet test that I found hidden first thing tomorrow Wink

Midwife cows sound sweet.

pear, if your scales are broken, maybe your thermometer is too... & the POAS test... Grin Fx it happens for you soon!

I'm a little freaked out by the cycle-syncing going on... I'm on cd26. Well, technically 27, given that it's after midnight now! I've been having cramps for days & I'm sooo over the pain now! My poor DSis, of the kidney-issues, had such bad period pains the other day that she vomited, was doubled over in pain & swearing. I've never heard her swear! She ended up going to A&E because mum & dad were worried it might be kidney-related. She's always suffered with her periods but apparently this was worse than she's ever been before. I don't know that she would even be allowed anything stronger than paracetamol at the moment in case it put strain on her kidney! Sad I so wish I could wrap her in cotton wool & stop all these things hurting her!

bringonthetrumpets · 29/05/2015 03:02

I'm with agnu on this one. I think all the measuring tools in your house are broken. Wink. Oooh come on let there be some baybeez in there!

Speaking of baybeez--- my friend had her twins today! They are so flipping cute and dun, dun, dun, no C/S! Huzzah for her! This just amps up the baby fever to even more ridiculously high heights for me.

Lorelei353 · 29/05/2015 10:34

Loved the midwife cow photos on FB Frus. They're great. Who knew?

10st 10lbsBPear. Wow. That's some toddler!

Agnu your poor Dsis. Sounds awful. I can understand the impulse to wrap her up in cotton wool. I'd be the same with my Dsis.

kitty the house buying sounds so stressful. I'm dreading the idea of it.

Bring great news on your friend's twins. And 3, 4, it's all the same right? -definitely never going past 2
