Yeah! It's so cool how women living together tend to have cycles that are very close together. I just love the primal part of it when women in the village all went to the red tent (or similar ceremony) together and just hung out being women and weren't expected to do anything. Can we just say that we are all part of the red tent and then we go hide for a few days and don't have to do anything but just mumsnet each other? Grin

Welll..... it depends on which side of the political fence the family is on re 4th of July. The right wingers are probably a bit more into the "YEA! GOD BLESS AMERICA" bullcrap whereas my family just tends to think of it as a lovely day off in the middle of the summer complete with fireworks. A lot of people will get together with family and have BBQs or go to the lake and then find somewhere that has fireworks. Most cities will host a huge firework display. Most businesses are closed or will close early. It depends on the state you live in and the legality of buying do-your-selfer fireworks, but a lot of people will buy some to do at home. When I was young my family used to be JWs, so we weren't allowed to really do anything with 4th of July since it was a holiday that didn't align with the religion and had flags and national anthems and the like, but now I just like to be able to show my kids the fireworks. I try to show them what it all actually means because there is SO much actual important history behind it all! I make an emphasis how it impacted the original Americans and the fact that the original "founding fathers" really only meant freedom for white men and they still owned slaves (who many of them were forced into fighting for a cause that wasn't any benefit to them). We get a lot of half-truth crap fed to us in school about "American freedom" so I just want to make sure that my kids actually know what the 4th of July truly is... especially the fact that fighting didn't just cease on the 4th- that was just the date that the Declaration was signed. Fighting kept going for a long after that! Blush

Yep pear. Shake it off (gives a Taylor Swift shimmy) and on to Cycle 8 - the big one where it ALL happens!

bringonthetrumpets · 29/05/2015 15:16

Wine Wine Wine Wine Star

YES! Rollllll on cycle #8! And that is good news that the LP is getting longer!

Lorelei353 · 29/05/2015 15:25

God. I'm out of practice with all this TTC stuff. I had to google what difference the whole LP thing made.

peardrop2 · 29/05/2015 15:38

Yep, onwards and upwards with a TS shimmy!

Oh our new scales arrived this morning. I lost a stone overnight. Isn't that AMAZING!! Smile

Good shimmying pear! I'm sure it will be lucky number 8,it's the chines lucky number!!
A stone overnight is what I need, mine would say 10,10 and be telling the truthHmm probably a few more at the min!
Unfortunatly for us we defo defo couldn't afford another, our monthly outgoings will be going up by £600 and believe me we don't save this month each month, we will have to consider ever penny spent and will be counting down till kitten gets free hours I physically couldn't even afford to be on maternity. The lower price is the only way we can buy but is everything we have so no it doesn't make a difference unfortunately other then being able to buy it but we do love it, it's also next door to my sister
On that note Agnu I hope your poor sister is doing ok poor poor thing to be going through so much x

bringonthetrumpets · 29/05/2015 22:54

Frus I love that they are addressing the source of information! It's something we are definitely working on with the kidlets. Ask questions!

Oh shimmy shimmy ! You go girl!

Let's go lucky #8!

Gotcha kitty. I do understand. We pulled M out of Montessori school and now she's home full-time so that we can start saving. I'm only working part-time and while I can't say that having a destructive, climbing almost 2-year-old around isn't helpful for efficiency, it's saving while making extra.

bringonthetrumpets · 01/06/2015 02:39

Ugh. So yesterday I had a spectacular spill on a hardwood floor after trying to grab a piece of pizza off my stupid cat who nabbed it off the counter while I wasn't looking (and now has the nasty shits that REEK the house apart because of said pizza) and managed to really do a number on my hip/foot/ankle. I'm covered in bruises and walk like I'm 90. So that's awesome.

Also AF is here with a great array of cramping on and off all day.

Plus the kids are driving me cray-cray and I'm so not looking forward to summer "vacation" Bah! I think it's only vacation for the teachers.

And then I go and see some stupid "I'm better than every other mum" post on FB and I just loose my shiz and decide that I hate everyone and delete my FB account again.

I should just grab a carton of ice cream and take it to bed with me. I'm probably better just left on my own right now.

[sorry, not sorry]

Aww bring Thanks Quick... Do a shake it off shimmer on one leg or maybe just do jazz hands for your safety! ?? Really hope today is better for you. Oh how AF sucks!!! I had to revert to medicine this month which is quite unusual for me. I've somehow managed to stay away from treats and I think it shortened the misery feeling!

(week one of 2ww down, one week to go)
whispers then runs away...

bringonthetrumpets · 01/06/2015 21:54

Huzzah Lor! I mean....

I found two bins of old baby clothes from when the boys were tiny. I bawled. Where has the time go? We are having a car boot sale (yard sales as they're called over here) and just have so much stuff we need to try to sell as it's all collected and built up over the past few years. Time to declutter! Especially if we're trying to move by next year.

Lorelei353 · 02/06/2015 16:17

Some light spotting at 8 dpo. Much earlier than I'd expect for af although I had quite short cycles before ds was born (23 to 25 days) but I was fairly sure I was ovulating around last Monday. Hmm

bringonthetrumpets · 02/06/2015 17:45

Squee! Maybe it's implantation spotting???

Lorelei353 · 02/06/2015 17:52

That's what I thought. Did have it with ds. Will keep you posted. Probably just messed up cycle from coming off the pill

Ha! No of course it wasn't you Frus! It was from someone that I know personally to be a total bee-atch (due to our former close working environment) but everyone thinks is so sweet and gentle-natured. Her posts are always quite barf-worthy and tend to fall along the lines of "look at how perfect my life is, I love my job so much, my husband always cooks for me, my child is such a blessing from God, look at how amazing my family is and how we never get into fights and always love each other so much.... Barf, barf, barf, barf" This individual is actually one of the reasons that I quite FB, but then sneak back on only to see another barf-worthy post and hate the world and quit FB again. Wink

bringonthetrumpets · 02/06/2015 20:46

quite= QUIT. Just for clarification.

Lorelei353 · 03/06/2015 08:57

Well, definitely not implantation bleeding. Full AF arrived this morning. So, now I know a bit better what my cycle's like!

On to the next one StarStarStar

peardrop2 · 03/06/2015 13:31

Lor - sorry AF arrived Sad Probably a really good thing though as I was secretly planning to accidentally throw you off the bus if you got your bfp 1st month after coming off the pill. Sorry I know...what have I become Blush Good luck with this month though!! Hey we could be poas buddies now and maybe even bfp buddies! Grin

Wow, what has got into bpear this week!! He's been so disinterested in the two fun groups that I take him to, he's hitting more than usual and seriously fighting his nap this afternoon...typical since I really need to get out and garden!!
