Something must be in the water. M has been doing the screaming-tantrums too. Refusing to sit in her high chair during dinner, won't eat anything, acts like she wants to go to bed and then once she falls asleep... she wakes up about 10 minutes later {of course right after I've gotten comfy w/o kids for the night} and then screams until I feed her something. IT IS SO BLOODY ANNOYING. Then of course once she's been fed she's impossible to get back down and this past week we've been having to cuddle her in our bed until she falls asleep and then put her in her own cot. Thankfully she's been sleeping through the night despite the crazy bedtime behaviour.

I second the avoiding-the-cot-for-time-outs. Like Frus said, it's for positive, nice feelings and you definitely do not want him to associate going to bed as a punishment. We use a little step-stool that she has to sit down on when she's screaming and hitting. Usually it's just to sit her down, say, "you need to settle down/our hands are not for hitting/we don't throw our toys/yadda, yadda, yadda" and then she pops up and is usually ok after that.

bringonthetrumpets · 15/12/2014 22:18

Jeesh Frus that sounds awful! Do you think he's cutting more teeth? Or is just super hungry all the time? Growth spurt?

peardrop2 · 15/12/2014 22:52

Thanks ladies, good to hear about your current experiences.

I am driving myself TTC crazy and can't tell DH Confused I have absolutely no ** clue what is going on with my body. Still no peak. Have been feeling horribly bloated, twindgey and heavy like AF is going to turn up v v v early. 9 days early according to my app unreliable source At this point I just want to know where I am in my cycle Angry

Welllll.... this may be a bit TMI but check the consistency of the cervical mucus. That is usually a pretty good indicator of where you're at in your cycle. Creamy/whitish is usually after your period ends. Then it moves to an egg-white/clear consistency a few days before and during ovulation. Then it's usually sticky/whitish after ovulation until the period starts again. So what cycle day are you on, again? What are your normal cycles like? Would you take a preg test for shits and giggles?

Bring ~ I'm now on cd29. Cbfm has now changed from high to low. I either missed the peak or didn't ovulate. Either way I've woken up feeling normal again and I'm relieved that at least the monitor has changed so I don't have to feel guilty about taking a break from my EOD mission Wink I guess that officially makes me day1 of the 2ww?! Just have to wait for AF to turn up now. I did take a cheapie test yesterday and it was bfn but I know from history that the cheapie tests didn't pick up a BFP for agggeess when I was last pregnant so it is still early days, I hope.

Frus - 30 something days. They change every month. Think I'm still settling but last cycle was shorter then previous cycle so hopefully returning to 28

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 16/12/2014 09:20

Last 3 cycles have been 39, 37, 31

We've been having loads of cranky, screaming tantrums of late too. I thought it was just a phase we were in. However, suddenly since the weekend DS is mostly back to lovely, fun DS - some tantrums, but nothing like the regularity of before.

Of course, three of his four canine teeth cut through last week so I think he may just have been really miserable lately Sad Seems better now.

bringonthetrumpets · 16/12/2014 15:55

So, you're on day 31 and AF has turned up....or did I read that wrong? You did mention that you bf baby pear slightly off your normal schedule so perhaps you did just ovulate later than usual? Also, I don't think the CBFM would have been giving you high fertility readings unless you were actually still in the follicular stage of your cycle, as they go by estrogen and the surge in LH. According to what I've read it says that "high" readings refer to higher levels in estrogen whereas the "peak" reading refers to the actual surge in LH. Maybe you felt bloated and crampy because you were actually ovulating? I can totally tell when I am because of that very reason!

bringonthetrumpets · 16/12/2014 15:56

Oh frusso you need this 2x Wine

These little mites are so tough sometimes!

peardrop2 · 16/12/2014 17:47

I'm on cd29 and waiting for AF.

Gotcha. Thanks, Pear. We are all rooting for you!

peardrop2 · 16/12/2014 19:17

Thanks bring. I've calmed down now and just accepted that I have to wait. Hearing news of another BFP of a friend trying for no2 today didn't help but hey I've got one cutey pie already so must be grateful Smile

Bad day. Told DSis repeatedly yesterday that I wanted to be going out at 10, she came downstairs at 9.45 for breakfast. She half-heartedly helped with Calf while we were out while I wrestled with a tantruming Runt. Sat at the table while I sorted their lunch, hovered in the kitchen while I got her lunch then at 2.30 she disappeared up to her room for 4 hours without a word! I had to deal with Runt's worst tantrum ever entirely by myself while beginning to get worried that she might be ill or something. Runt's screaming eventually woke her up & she came down only to sort of wander around after us while I was trying to do bedtime. I shoved a book at her to read to Calf & once she'd read it she just wandered off again. She's been with us for 2 nights & been present at bedtime so she should know the routine... After sitting with me downstairs for a couple of minutes she asked if I was going to do the rest of the routine. Confused She rang me originally saying she wanted to come over to help out for the week. This evening, what with DH being back later than he said he would be despite "just leaving" when I last spoke to him, I've felt like I've had 4 children. If she could drive I'd probably send her home tonight! I have enough on my plate without having to wait on her all day long too!

We're going out tomorrow morning... I'm going to tell her that if she's not ready then she's not coming. We've got a bus to catch & I've got shopping to do. I'm not waiting around for her.

pear can you splash out on a fancy test? You never know... Wink

bringonthetrumpets · 16/12/2014 19:46

Good grief Agnu that's ridiculous! She sounds like so much fun. No stress on you at all Hmm Yeah, I'd totally just leave her home if she's not ready to go. You're not her mother and shouldn't have to get her dressed along with the two kids you already have. I'm seething just reading that! Hopefully she gets her shit together and actually does something to help you out or at least gets herself dressed and ready to go on time like an adult

peardrop2 · 16/12/2014 19:54

Agnu ~ that's selfish. How frustrating for you!! Shall I Courier a wet fish over to your house? Do you really think I should buy an early response? Arrrggghhh so tempted Grin

OP posts:
AGnu · 16/12/2014 20:04

I really do pear. G'wan... It'll cheer me up! Wink DH is at Sainsburys now... Shall I call him & ask him to courier one to you? He could pick up the fish too! Grin

"Can I send rotten fruit too?" Grin
DMum just rang - DSis made it sound like we've been having a whale of a time... Hmm Main reason for the phone call was to tell me my 99yo great aunt is dying which I kinda thought had probably happened already & they'd forgotten to tell me! I officially dub the last 3 months "The Quarter of Death". I'd love to say that'll be it for a while but in the same call DMum said DGran's cancer hasn't spread & it looks like they've taken what was there but it'll be back at some point anyway... Feels very fire-fighting & it's just so draining for everyone! Sad

pear, I really do need cheering up straight away so if you could just nip out to a 24-hour Tesco or something... Be a dear! WinkGrin
