This thread needs to be killed...Just saying...

Kyz · 10/02/2015 10:39

I thought I had killed it with an epic post lol! Do we have another one lined up?

BigPigLittlePig · 10/02/2015 14:16

Perhaps it would like a dose of lurgy from littlepig?

Elizadoesdolittle · 10/02/2015 16:34

Haha lilythethreadkiller pipes up again.

Had a successful trip to the consultant. Managed to navigate the train and tube and both kids were very well behaved. The consultant was very pleased with Ella's progress. In a couple of weeks we are to half her omeprozale dose and then a month or so halve it again. He said to introduce dairy traces once the meds are tackled using the milk ladder method. I've never heard of this so off to google.

Passmethecrisps · 10/02/2015 16:36

Great news about the appointment, eliza. I have never heard of the milk ladder - sounds intriguing

Shall I pop off and make a new thread? What to call it?

Passmethecrisps · 10/02/2015 16:40

welcome home chaps

YellowWellies · 10/02/2015 17:38

Eliza sounds like a very clued up dietician. The ladder technique is a way of reintroducing allergens starting with traces (so for dairy that's usually malted milk biscuits) gradually up to the most reactive forms so cheese and cow's milk last. The child has to pass each step of the ladder symptom free before they can pass onto the next stage.

YellowWellies · 10/02/2015 17:39

I can put a copy of the milk ladder on the FB group if you like Eliza xx

Evening all :)

I know I thanked the quiche earlier on facebook but want to say something here too. It was lovely receiving the card you (whomever it was!) sent me, it made me smile to know i've got you all here, even if the fred isn't always that active anymore, and we're all busy, I couldn't have made a better group of friends than all of you and i'll always be grateful for having the quiche :) moving on swiftly before I get something in my eye again....

E had his 2.5 year review earlier :) he's doing very well, is 95cm and just shy of 15kgs size wise (with size 9 feet) and thankfully was on his best behaviour. I did tell her this, and explain he wasn't always so quiet. The thing that made me most proud I think though was his use of manners, I didn't have to remind him to say please and thankyou, he was very polite, and very lovely :) She said he's doing just fine as far as development goes (to which he said thankyou, lady!) and was delightful. Made me smile, especially as he should've been halfway through his nap so I was expecting him to be a right mardy bum! I'll stop going on now, I try not to i'm just pleased my little boy can be such a lovely little boy sometimes :)

bless her Bp how is she this evening?

that's great news re the appt Eliza - the milk ladder sounds like the kind of thing my baby sister e is trying to do at the moment - where you gradually introduce bits of milk and build up? I will go and google it also! I think it's certainly similar though!

lily come and kill the freedddddddd

fanks for new fred pass i'll hop on over there

Passmethecrisps · 10/02/2015 21:41

Lovely lovely kyz.

Elizadoesdolittle · 10/02/2015 22:15

yw He certainly is. He's worth his weight in gold. I wish I'd found him sooner but better late than never. I did Google the milk ladder and looks fairly straight forward and it makes sense. Feel free to add to fb though. I expect a few quichelings will have to do it at somepoint.

kyz you deserve to be proud of E. He sounds like a lovely well mannered boy. Doesn't matter that he isn't all the time. Nobody likes a goodie goodie Grin

bplp Hope F is improving, bless her.

I enjoyed the secret life of toddlers. Really made me laugh. The little girl called Jessica reminded me so much of my DD1. It was very interesting.
