Sorry for multiple messages my memory is shite!

Goats jags have always knocked my babies for six. Especially with live vaccines symptoms have tended to peak 5-10 days after and have led to awful reflux and sore tummies. They do get back to normal but may just need to be close whilst getting over it.

tattyblue · 17/12/2014 14:59

Thanks, yellow. In that case I'll just keep an eye on it, and when I say "it" I mean "her poo". Honestly, what would I do without the ladies of the internet (as you are collectively known in this house).

Kirstipops · 17/12/2014 15:43

female wit defined nagging as "repetition of unpalatable truths"
LOL Yellow that's brilliant! So true!

That's awesome news splendide you're having the tongue tie sorted this evening, I'm sure you'll start to notice a difference soon enough, and then once his wee tongue is working better I'm sure your cups will runneth over ;)

JeannePoole · 17/12/2014 16:17

splendide That's - hopefully - good news. Must be a relief for you to have found a reason for the struggle. Fingers crossed for much plainer sailing for you from now on Smile

fatpony · 17/12/2014 16:28

Goats could it be one of the wonder weeks? It goes off due date not birth date and I think there is one around week 12

Happytimes31 · 17/12/2014 16:32

goats same here.. Although a bit better today but wouldn't go to sleep until 1 last night.

wondermoose13 · 17/12/2014 17:40

Bloody motorways, had average speed cameras so i was driving in a trance at 50mph and missed my bloody junction! Eventually got to hospital for bf group after being in much traffic, car park machine was out of order so had to put him in buggy and traipse to another machine in a different car park, back to car then back to hospital
I was very grumpy by the time i got to bf group! Didnt get to see the guru either but the underlings were reasonably helpful, confirmed still has a bit of a tt but no appointments til 6th jan. Also said not to worry about his weight loss but he feels so skinny :(
Oh and got a scan apt through from hosp for 12th jan and it says not to feed for 5 hrs before and its at 3pm!! Wtf am i supposed to do with a starving screaming 3 month old who comfort feeds all day for 5 hrs??
Oh and hes flat out refusing his omeprazole in the morning, coughs/gags/wretches then pukes it all up
Sorry for the rant im having a bit of a meltdown today!

FATEdestiny · 17/12/2014 17:58

May I join you in the meltdown wonder? Sad

DD is currently upstairs in the cot. I've had to put her down and walk away. Screaming since 3.30 today. Slightly better than yesterday when it was from 2.30, but she stopped at 6.00 yesterday and conked out. No sign of that being anywhere near happening yet.

Must calm baby down.

ohthegoats · 17/12/2014 18:04

Ok, that's reassuring. I bought calpol, but can only use it twice in total, so need to pick my times. She's so grumpy today, only my mum has managed to make her smile. Every time she comes anywhere near me she bawls. Nice.

wondermoose13 · 17/12/2014 18:13

By all means fate we can sit in a dark room and rock backwards and forwards together :s.
Got him to feed a little..picked him up to wind and barfed in my face and on my hair! Only had a shower last night and that took a lot of persuading to dh :(

ohthegoats · 17/12/2014 18:20

Me and my mum's sofa have just been barfed all over. Naice.

splendide · 17/12/2014 20:01

Sorry about the fractious babies :(

I'm just back from the clinic. All done, tongue snipped! Was traumatic for me, the boy seems ok. £140 well spent I hope. He's feeding now and it does feel a bit different. I'll see how it goes anyway then if no weight gain this week I'll start supplementing.

wondermoose13 · 17/12/2014 20:39

Oooh good luck splendide hope it helps and you keep seeing an improvement :)

Grannyapple · 17/12/2014 21:17

Ah great news in getting the TT identified & sorted so quickly splendide. All 3 of mine have had TT's...last 2 done privately at days 4 & 3 at home. With Adam, I had been doubting my supply a few weeks after it (gain was only 4oz in 10 days) as i thought it had reattached. Well I persevered & was told the next week he had gained 13oz Shock...I'm still convinced he wasn't weighed properly the week before tbh.

I'm still using nipple shields (I have flat nipples & he still doesnt open his mouth wide enough..think he made need a few cranial osteopathy sessions). I've heard using a cranial osteopath straight after the TT revision can help loads too-poss worth a try? (ive only just found this out myself!).

I doubted my supply & these ladies assured me it prob wasn't that...& they've been right, so hang on there. Xx

hefner · 17/12/2014 22:16

Good luck splendide! It can take a little while for them to get used to moving their tongue differently so don't worry if his feeding isn't perfect straight away.

fedupofrainydays · 17/12/2014 22:51

I've just walked out the house on a post jabs scream fest. Feel guilty but it's my only night out planned in the diary!

fedupofrainydays · 17/12/2014 22:52

Don't know why that just posted - I'm on my way home now! Hoping all has gone smoothly...

Hope it's going ok splendide it will take a while for him to get used to his new found tongue movement

MundayCakes85 · 17/12/2014 22:57

Good luck splendide hope baby gets a good feed tonight. Let us know how you get on.
DH admitted that his bad back is making him bad tempered, I made him talk it out instead of him shouting/ grumping and walking away. As a result we've all had a much nicer, calmer evening.
Also worked out a little oily head rub helps DD when she's screaming. Not sure if it's distraction of she's got a headache?
Jabs tomorrow Sad after being cancelled last week. Poor chubby thighs Xmas Sad

fedupofrainydays · 17/12/2014 23:23

Head run calms our Baby too munday

Wish we weren't doing Christmas. So bloomin stressful having my hyper organised inlaws coming who want everything on a schedule and want me to get two different types of strawberry fromage frais for each child. Yes really. One has Peppa pig the other petit filous. Ridiculous.

YellowWellies · 17/12/2014 23:29

Well after three days of having a nipple twisting, limb flailing, baby on my boob doing an impression of an angry chattering squirrel.....I think it's safe to say the 12 week growth spurt is hopefully please god behind us! It was DHs birthday today and the poor chap had to do the veg for his special birthday meal because she was limpeted to my boobs. Might try that excuse in the future!

Good luck with feeding Splendide. Don't be scared if you see a little bit of ingested blood in his nappy tomorrow, its not unusual after a TT cut.

Munday am glad you talked it over x

wondermoose13 · 18/12/2014 00:29

Good for you munday my oh is getting on my nerves tonight, keeps moaning about being tired, after we bathed babymoose i fed him and dh buggered off downstairs to make his lunch for tomorrow and was gone for an hour... god knows what he was up to, watching tv probably! Lol

ohthegoats · 18/12/2014 00:40

My oh also on my nerves. I spend a lot of time biting my tongue at the moment. This will pass I'm sure.

Happytimes31 · 18/12/2014 03:48

So is having a period normal nearly 9 wks after c section? Am ebf. GP at 6(7) week check said it couldn't be period at that point but I seem to be having something that resembles one only a bit weird as it is around for a couple of days or so and then buggers off again. Oh and we seem to be back to doing an early hours feed again Sad pretty sure the bloody jabs have mucked everything up in the sleep stakes.

wondermoose13 · 18/12/2014 03:56

Awake here too happy. We'd had a glorious week of falling asleep between 10-11pm and sleeping till we woke him and the past two nights he hasnt gone down til 12.30. Last night he slept til 5 but tonight hes up already :( i feel like absolute shite! Id got used to more sleep!
Weve been told to trial dairy in my diet so wasnt sure if that was the cause, but might it be the vaccines? He had them on monday

wondermoose13 · 18/12/2014 04:57

Ok ooh called- coughing and massive amounts of vomit :(
