Ok girls here it is!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
laundrylover · 12/11/2006 22:16

Well we have been thinking about that Friz but reckon we would rather sell it and have a small mortgage - I think we should hang on to it though really as we have no pensions etc.....it's a tough one to call. Whichever way it looks like our planned trip to Thailand and Cambodia in January will be put off 'til Jan 2008. Mind you at least Kiah should be out of nappies by then so it's a bit less luggage.

UniSarah · 14/11/2006 09:48

wayhey, think we might have 2 signs now. boy said hello to daddy with a lovely wave and vocalisation this morning. makes a change from milk, milk, milk.

got to fit stair getes sometime soon, have two from a friend waiting in corner of boys room.
looks like we're all having a busy start to the week from teh lack of traffic yesterday.
ttfn

Frizbe · 14/11/2006 20:03

LL I'd try to hang onto it, if you can get mortgage or even mortgage n a bit covered by renting, its a fab nest egg, especially with no pensions, we're in same boat.....I have a frozen one from last job...and another frozen one from another previous one, which was a 2 year one! so sod all in that......being self employeed is not condusive to saving money! or in some cases even earning it without spending it on the sodding company again........

Hi Uni, great news about ds waving and saying hello dd2 made a noise that sounded like her sisters name, enough to excite sister today anyway!!

Hey sorry if I mentioned this yest, can't remember if I did or not, but dd2 decided she can walk yesterday with the aid of a pushalong walker she's 8mths FGS, and has no teeth!!!

LL/Uni, what time are we to meet at the park then on the 4th??

UniSarah · 14/11/2006 21:27

I'll not be at the park... bit of a long way from Devon :-) Hope you have a nice day tho. I did go to the park today breifly, met a friend at toy library, then to park so her boy could clamber about for a bit before being pushchaired round town.
Boy stood up in his bath today! guess we will be dropping the cot matress down soon. During his tea tonight- lots of milk signing, so hes starting to refine milk to mean food I think. Another "hello" wave for friends boy this arvo as well.

Lizzylou · 14/11/2006 21:52

Just popping in to say hello........Good to see how everyone's doing.

LL been really nosy, your house looks beautiful! I'd buy it!
Friz, likewise the house you're looking at...a real bargain too for all that space.
Benedict not cruising at all, crawling loads and stands but manages to just charm everyone with massive smiles and big kisses. had his 8mth check on Monday and he is massive compared to all others on this thread at 24lbs, but still a good 1lb 1/2 less than his big bro at that age...I just breed big boys!
Hope all are well, xxx

munz · 15/11/2006 13:41

hey all found u again!

hope everyone's doing well.

Frizbe · 15/11/2006 19:27

Hi Munz, Lizzylou n Uni (I don't expect you to make the park from Devon ) glad to hear all little ones doing so well, 8mth check is more 9/12 mth here, which reminds me I missed dd2's new jab on Tue am, as she was poorly with snot, and I've just remembered I forgot to ring, oopse......Uni at the standing in the bath, I hate it when they try things like that, another pet hate, is the trying to grab the hot tap whilst in the bath.....

UniSarah · 15/11/2006 21:35

round here 8 month check is teh 7-9 m check, we had ours weeks ago. Nice to be given some books at teh end of it tho. Boy really likes the peepo baby book.
I'll take him back to baby clinic before the christmas hols so I know if we can turn his car seat round, its getting harder to get im in and out rear faceing.

laundrylover · 15/11/2006 21:36

Isn't it great how our babies are learning so many new skills! Altho Kiah can only fall onto her tummy and get stuck she can say Daddy and T (for Tilly). Uni, the signing sounds like fun and am most upset that you won't be making the 7 hour journey to our meet up!

Friz, Kiah was two weeks late but had her second pneummo jab today and was fine.

Lizzy, thanks for the nice words about our house but.......

.....we've sold it!!!!! Hurrah, hurray etc. etc.
Just to catch up we saw a fab house on Sun and put in an offer and promised to get the finance together....this was lots of hassle and on the off chance we phoned our estate agents and asked them to tell a previous viewer that we were willing to lower our price. Sooo...the viewer (a buy-to-let blokey) came round that minute whilst DP had both girls playing up and I was at work, asks what our bottom line is and buys it two hours later!!! Altho it would have been good in principal to hold on to it our finances would have been really stretched and we couldn't have afforded the renovations needed on the new place.

Anyway have a look if you fancy on www.ryder-dutton.co.uk and put in Mossley 4 bed. It's on the second page on Hanover Street (there isn't an address to link to, sorry).....we won't be keeping the decor and will probably knock the kitchen thru....sorry for long post but I am VERY excited. Keep your fingers crossed for us...

Frizbe · 15/11/2006 22:18

Lol I can't find anything on Hannover Street but I did find a nice property or two in other places!
What time on the monday folkes, so's I can tell the Feb threaders who wanna come??
Oh LL she's not had any of the new jab at all they've only just got it in this week.....
Hi Uni (waves)!

laundrylover · 16/11/2006 09:16

We must have been first in the queue for jabs then!

How about 10.30am?

I'll have a look now and see if I can find the house....

laundrylover · 16/11/2006 09:24

Well it's gone off the web which is good, but means that we can't show it to anyone! It's not on rightmove so we can't search under 'sold' properties. Ah well, imagine a 1930's semiwith a terrible extension and granny decor throughout!

munz · 16/11/2006 13:35

LL - congrats on the sell of your house.

our checks here are 7-9 months as well, took boy on tues for a weigh in we're 21lb 12oz now at 38 weeks - he's put on 1lb in 5 weeks on the 75th cnetile for weight but 50th for height/head. tbh i'm not bothered he's happy healthy not over weight (he's got big bones! lol) not been called for the new jabs yet - getting worried as well cos apparently under 1's are ment to have 2 lots, not that i'd rather he have 2 as opposed to 1 but I'd perfer him to be fully covered.

UniSarah · 16/11/2006 17:10

not quite sure why boy had his check so early as today at childrens centre they were doing 8m checks on 8 month olds! some of teh baies from our "heres looking at you group", was nice to catch up with a couple of mums as i was leaving after baby massage- another one to one session for boy with lots of stretches and more active stuff, no tiny babies coming along at all at teh mo.- But one of them ( the mums) is already 20wks pg ! eek. her boy is only 3 wks older than mine. scarey. Rather her than me is all I can say, the very thought of 2 under 18m/o frightens me.
congrats on the house sale, such a relief tpo bew done with it . oops boy on lap jpoining in. ttfn

Frizbe · 16/11/2006 19:06

Well I've managed to schedule dd2's jabs for 5th Dec, I need to set a mumsnet reminder for that or we'll miss them again.......

LL never mind, sure once you move you can post photos for us all to look at nice decor description tho personally I love being able to get my hands on old houses like that and do them up, so what on earth I'm doing in a new one at the moment beats me!

Uni n Munz, you sound like you had nice days really must take dd2 to be measured n weighed next week, have no idea what she is....

laundrylover · 16/11/2006 21:36

Our HVs only do weight - head and length are only recorded at birth here.

I wouldn't worry too much about the new jab - a woman at playgroup is a micro biologist and she hasn't bothered with it as she says it's very rare indeed for kids to get pneummonia. I think they'll all get offered it eventually eh?

UniSarah · 16/11/2006 22:05

the pne jab isn;t just pnemonia tho, its a number of things inc a strain of melengitous (sp?) . The practise nurse did tell me exactly what but I've ( typically ) forgoten now a month later.
Boy has horrid snotty nose this evening so am expecting a bad night. ho hum, we've had a few good ones, can;t last for ever.

Cadmum · 17/11/2006 15:41

Hello all!

I was certain that I posted a message earlier this week but alas, it is not here. I only have a few seconds but need to send a message to Munz.

Hope the rest of you are all well. Will catch up properly over the week-end.

Munzie: THANK you SO much for the lovely package. I am sipping a lovely cuppa and DD2 looks adorable in her bib and cap. I will email you a photo when our camera cooperates... Please, please do not feel compelled to send us another package later. The older 2 were not home to see the mail arrive and I had spoiled DS2 with a Playmobil toy earlier that afternoon so nobody feels left out. DH loves tea as much as I do so we are both feeling very spoiled. Also, we know how hard it is to live on a tight budget.

munz · 17/11/2006 16:48

glad you got it caddy - have already got something for the other LO's so it's tough! lol. not much but a little something and yet more t bags for you! will send them over once I have a box! lol. you'll be all t'eed out! lol.

boy's cut another tooth this week - guess it explains last night and sunday night's inconsolable screaming, althou I do feel rather ashamed to say I only noticed when he was smiling at DH[ blush] am I a bad mummy?

uni - yes one of the girls I know she's just over 20 wks and her DD is a few days older than J will be 13 months differnce - brave lady!

what's this booster jab at 12 months they're ment ot have is that really required as well? half of me waht's him to be fully cvered in case but half also thinks they're jabbing for the sake if it - prob not true but well it just seems an awful lot, here they do the 12 months one then mmr at 13 months and this new one at the mmr one apparently i've just found out

anyhow best go feed him - got a high chair finally- boy think's it's excelelnt! lol.

Cadmum · 17/11/2006 21:21

Munzie!! You really ought not be so kind to me. I will start to expect it all of the time. I will need to think of a practical way to thank you. Will email you some suggestions. But seriously: Thanks SOOOO much! It really has made a big difference to the quality of my week!

munz · 17/11/2006 22:23

lol. ah get out woman! lol. as I say all I want is to see you with a smilw on your face - just hope you have a bath to use the smellys in as well! lol. (did they come OK, I taped them up cos they started to look a bit loose when I checked hte packet again)

laundrylover · 19/11/2006 13:17

oooh, am veryof the parcel now.
Just a child free hour in the bath myself...bliss.

Friz, Astro have we agreed on a meet up time?
LizzyLou are you joining us at Yorkshire Sculpture Park?

Frizbe · 19/11/2006 21:16

Yeah come on Lizzylou, the more the merrier! anyone else?? (so sorry your in Devon Uni...)
Yep Mon 4th Dec at 10:30, are we meeting just outside the main building LL? if I remember rightly its next to the carpark....
Hmmm so what to do between dropping ss off at school at 9 and the sculpture park.......might scout some houses just for the hell of it!
So what you all been upto then?
Uni is ds feeling better?
Hi Caddy n Munz! glad to hear you got a nice surprise off Munz caddy! which reminds me to go and check on Debsey too next!
So been to Shropshire with dh and work this weekend! girls came to, all had a great time, apart from dd2 slowly breaking out in the POX.....went from two possible spots yesterday to covered by this evening.....sigh....another week of confinement for me.......argh!

UniSarah · 19/11/2006 21:41

well friz- hes still all snotty, but seems to have been a happier baby today than friday eve or saturday afternoon, which is good. Incredibly hes been sleeping as normal... hurrah for teh boy, if anything hes been sleeping more at night than normal. He woke us up at 8ish on saturday ,and at 9ish this morning I went up to see if he was alright as hadn;t heard him yet and found him just about awake and stretching and playing in his cot quietly! longest lie in we have had since he was born, so he got breakfast in teh big bed and playing in teh big bed as he'd been such a good boy ( and so mum and dad could saty in bed another half hour.)
put a stair gate in today- across our stairs down from the front hall. Have people coming round tomoz with a tottering 11 m/o DS, don;t really want him falling down stairs as soon as mums got him out teh push chair.

Frizbe · 20/11/2006 22:11

Uni, that's good
You'll soon forget what the house looked like without stairgates, ours will feel loads bigger I think once we get them off in another two years mind you I've got three up, top n bottom of stairs n one on the kitchen, saves latches on cupboards n fingers on hot ovens, in the fridge etc
Having a bad night here, I've taken some eyedrops, that have given me a horrible taste in mouth, yuk, yuk, yuk, not having those again....
dd2 has more spots than a join the dot competition (not nice and mild like her big sis) and is crying for me every 10 mins or so, am trying not to give in and go sleep with her, as don;t want to set a precident, particularly as gran is having both dd's for this weekend coming!
