Frizbe · 13/01/2007 11:17

for Tillys excema LL hope it clears up soon.....and hurrah for mooncup being in use again
Uni, dd's just started climbing on her truck thing too! sits there paitently waiting for dd1 to push her, lol
Skibump, hurrah another 4th baby its great you and chelle are both in Cov, do I sense a mini meet??
Astro glad the fever's broke, hope things are better with dh too?
We're off to Panto at Nottm this afternoon, my mums meeting us there to take dd2 for the duration of the show bless her, so better get a move on and get ready I guess!

skibump · 13/01/2007 14:18

Chelle!!! I'm in Earlsdon, so only just around the corner . Can you recomend a good Mums & Tots group round here?

DS is also up on his truck thingy and looking very pleased with himself to be able to trundle around on his own. I'd assumed he'd be late crawling like he was rolling, but as of today, he's walking (if it counts) as long as someone will hold his hands. Maybe he'll just skip over the crawling bit. lol at one foot, one leg crawling, must look great - and 2 of them doing the same

for all ill mums and babes (all ages!), seems to be lots of it going round. You deserve a day off - oh no you can't...well hopefully you can coz it's the weekend

Friz, hope you're having a lovely time (it's behind you!)

laundrylover · 13/01/2007 19:56

Not sure it's anything to celebrate Friz!! BTW my Mooncup was brand new so had only had a 'dry' run but am very impressed so far. Hope you all enjoy the panto.

Kiah did two crawl 'steps' today and has also discovered cruising and hand walking too like your DS Skibump. They must be having a developmental spurt eh?

We still need to rearrange our Dec meet up. I can easily come Derbyshire way for a day....

UniSarah · 15/01/2007 21:55

friz- lol at waiting for a push! if boy waited for a push he'd get bored. onlys just have to get on do things for them selfs. hes a very self relient little chap in many ways.

We are going swimming once a week now. Swim teacher said she'd never seen a tiny so relaxed floating on his back- must have been teh way he had thumb in mouth, other hand twidding his ear and his legs slighty bent and crossed at ancles, he looked for all teh world like he was in a deck chair.
um, moon cups- am unconvinced, how are they ment to get on with teh coil, would worry about it pulling on threads. also don;t think it'd work too well with my trickle bleed into and out of period and at ovulation. Sorry if TMI .

Cadmum · 16/01/2007 08:53

Hello all.

Just a quick note to say hello and that we are all on the way back to health. Now if only I could get a great nigth's sleep then I might feel human again.

Still no AF here yet and I am so glad since DD2 will be our last and that means AF until the big change...

Cadmum · 16/01/2007 08:56

Astrophe: thanks for letting me know that dd's style is not unique to her!!! I always love MN for that. I am glad that the fever has broken. Hope he is 100% again quickly.

Frizbe · 16/01/2007 11:43

Hi all, hope your all well, has been a busy few days trying to get a new tennant for my friends house that I manage here, lots of viewings, so we shall see current tennant appears to have taken it upon himself to get a sparky in and disconnect the outside light as it was apparently on all the time have asked him to get it put back on or it will be coming out of his deposit Hello ring me you eeeejjjit that's what my job is, to sort it out

Panto was good thanks after dd1 getting scared to start with, due to evil baddy being 1st on, I had to bribe her to stay with the promise of interval icecream, but once the singing and dancing kicked in she was fine she particularly liked the water pistols being squirted over the audience

Great to hear all the little ones are kicking in and doing crawling walks etc dd1 used to do that!

dd2 asleep at the mo, I got 20mins of Yoga done this am, before I got called to the creche as she wasn't settling will try her again next week, she's not been for about 8 weeks, due to pox, then Xmas, so has forgotten all about it

LL yep lets re arrange that meet, name a date n time!

laundrylover · 16/01/2007 21:27

LOL at image of Unibaby floating around like a li-lo!

Friz, can I pick your brains about renting our house out please? I'll send you an email so as not to bore the others! I'm sure DD2 will get used to the creche again soon - my two are loving their two hours when I'm in my bf councellor training - as am I.

Caddy at your lack of AF - thanks for rubbing in the now 'til menopause idea tho!!!! If I have another baby it's all your fault! Uni, not sure about mooncup and coil...would be fine with trickling tho, just leave it in all day. Thinking about it it's no different than using a tampon which I'm sure you can use with a coil, yeah? It is suprisingly interesting seeing how much you lose for the first time!

Frizbe · 17/01/2007 23:02

LL do you know its taken me 3 periods for it to get back to a normal flow sure it wasn't that long the last time
Have e-mail'd ya back!
So how is everyone else today?
dd2 has teef on the way here, plus a temp, made it upto 101 yesterday evening, so that was fun, lots of wanting mummy, awwwww, hoping she's feeling a bit better tomorrow and pops her two bottom teeth overnight quietly, harhar......

laundrylover · 18/01/2007 11:18

Got the email Friz, many thanks. Poor LO, hope her teeth come through soon.

Still no teeth here but crawling is well underway at long last. However this is quickly taking second place to cruising which involves lots of bumped heads and tears.

I lost 5lbs this week so am feeling very proud of myself - am trying to lose a stone a month but we will see!

Where is everybody??????

Munz · 18/01/2007 11:36

hey all, busy busy thread! YAY!

well not much haoppening really here, found a job, got offered it turned it down - hours were 9-5.30 on a thurs and fri after childcare i'd be getting £2.40 po/h, and besides if DH was away (like now) J would be up and to the CM within an hour then i'd get home at 5.45 ish and he's a bed for 6.45-7 so i'd not see him for at least the 2 days. so am looking but for somehting with less hours/more convinent hours iycwim.

j's crusing now, tries to walk - can mange a few steps then falls in a heap laughing! lol. has decdied he no longer needs me to feed him brekkie anymore - lots of mess! lol. also started to wean him onto cows milk so he has 1 bottle of that p/d and has done for the last 10 days or so - so i'll prob go up to 2 bottles next week. we not have 6 teeth as well! little horror bit my boob as well I swear he thought he could pull it off lol.

sleep wise he's going 6.45-7.30/8 straight around now - been a long time coming but we got there finally! lol. sad thing is he'll only nap for an hour by day if i'm lucky but can't complain as he's so good by night.

anyhow we're TTC again, not having much luck althou it was only the first month - and it was only once! lol - damn army they play havoc on a ladys plans! lol.

hope everyone's doing well.

laundrylover · 18/01/2007 13:02

Hey Munz, great to hear from you and J. At least getting that job was a boost even if you turned it down eh? Can see why you would tho...good luck with finding something else.

Kiah will take a little bit of cow's milk from a cup now but not sure she's take a full bottle - once she will tho I'm having another night away as still on 3 feeds a night.

TTC - very brave. My sister caught first time in Dec and so is due Sept 1st - she's very organised and efficient so it seemed very 'her' to get up the duff so quickly! I am losing my nearest devoted childless aunt to entertain the girls tho.

UniSarah · 18/01/2007 20:48

Hi Munz. Know what you mean about work.
I went to talk to a customer about doing 1 or 2 mornings a week as a contractor and got offered 21 hrs a wk on PAYE at 7.50. I said no. However they are sooo desperate for getting their tsting and maintence done they are going with 1 or 2 mornings a wk at my rates. Now I just need to finalise teh childminder thing.

Frizbe · 18/01/2007 21:09

Uni hurrah for you that's great news

Munz good stuff re turning down the job if the end result was hardly any money, that's the trouble with this child/work juggling lark eh....congrats to boy on the walking

LL I'll get the stuff email'd you tomorrow if that's ok, as need to transfer it over to dh's pc to mail it and just can't be arsed now, its too late and I just need a quick mumsnet then sleep!! lol

Have added you all to my mumsnet mates, so hope you can view me ok!

So fence is bearing up outside, I had to re batton it this afternoon, but its ok! slide blew down tho.
Several neighbours have lost ridge tiles (new houses eh!) next doors just missed his car, phew for him.....two people have had them hit their houses other roofs making holes in them thru to the insulation

skibump · 18/01/2007 22:10

Well done Uni and also Munz on the jobs front. Munz, v brave to be bf with so many teeth Still no teeth here, and still not crawling, but demanding to be held up for hand-walking ALL the time. Good for the back - not.

Friz - what's mumsnet mates, and how do I find it? Well done on the fence, it must be welded in place to have survived this wild weather

LL, good luck with the weight loss. I'm also trying to get properly back in shape - before ttc. Seems a bit futile, but I know it'll make it all easier in the end

No Chelle? Hope you're ok love. You can always pop round & I'll make you a cup of tea

Astrophe · 18/01/2007 23:47

evening ladies. How, HOW is it almsot midnight again and I am still up???? Think maybe I am still on antipodean time.

LL, CONGRATS on the weight loss, I know what an acheivement that is! A friend I se every few weeks said she thought I had lost weight the other day and I was on cloud nine and so encouraged to continue with weight loss. Bought an aerobics dvd and am trying it tomorrow when kids are at nursery. I had been going to the gym, but the last 3 times it was just me and the instructor!!! A weird guy too. Hmmmmm.

Our neighbours fence blew over today, and dd blown over in the asda carpark! Wowzers!

Ds claps, waves and dances! Adorable!

Must sleep..my profile is public by the way, but, to be honest, not that interesting!

x

Frizbe · 19/01/2007 09:01

Skibump you click on your profile, and then you get to it from the new bits offered on there in the sub headings at the top
Astro I shall read yours in a mo, and your a very naughty girl! was a lovely surprise tho
So when are we going to sort another meet up then girls? I'm guessing we need somewhere indoors considering the time of year? is there anywhere in Buxton??

UniSarah · 19/01/2007 19:34

still breast feeding here with 7 teeth. #7 cut yesterday, he has biten me a few times, only drawn blood twice tho. Boy is burping hoi sin smell after his stir fry and noodle dinner, nice.

Frizbe · 19/01/2007 23:21

7 teeth still not even one here, dispite lots of whinging, I think when they do crack thru, dd2 is going to have huge teeth at the front like me

skibump · 20/01/2007 14:29

We've still got CONSTANT dribbling, chewing and intermittent whinging, but still no teeth...and that's been going on since he was about 12 weeks old Uni, I think you're very brave, first sign of teeth and the milk bar here is closing

Astrophe dd blown over It hasn't been that bad here - though we've lost a fence, I hear there's a few trees blown over in the park, and DH was stuck in London on Thursday night...

Cadmum · 20/01/2007 19:51

LL sorry about the menopause suggestion... It is a rather grim thought actually so maybe I ought to think about #5... NOT
DH is applying for a job in Edinburgh. I am trying to contain my excitement since it is early days in the process abviously. I would be over the moon if our children weren't going to find UK schooling a bloody nightmare!!! We are so far behind in the younger grades that DS would only start reception here in September but in the UK would be in Year 1 already...

UniSarah · 20/01/2007 21:08

Odd evening. By 6.30 boy was in bed, by 8.30 we had had dinner AND watched a film ( peters Friends) on DVD, feels like 10.30. Boy went to bed early as hes a bit under the weather and its sort of thrown our cozy routine. Am expecting a broken night, boy has a cough AND teeth troubling him.
Nice day tho. I've made boy a posting box, taped the lid onto a shoe box and cut a hole in the lid. he's having a great time posting things in to it and then fishing them out.

laundrylover · 21/01/2007 22:31

There's snow everywhere!!!

Astrophe · 21/01/2007 23:09

lucky you LL - none for us yet

we have had two terrible night, our lad up every hour last night, and I just kept feeding as it is the path of least resistance. I'm fairly sure its teeth, although we have been saying that for months now, but he has two white bumps under his gums at the top, so maybe they are finally here.

Anyway, of to bed...DD vomited all over the sofa this arvo and has a fever, so should be a great night all round..should I even bother getting into bed do you think? Yawn. Sigh.

Cadmum · 22/01/2007 09:35

Astrophe: Hope things are better this morning. We also did the feeding all night routine last night. I was 1/2 expecting to see the chicken pox this morning or at least some more teeth but neither have appeared...
