Hi all, welcome to thread 2!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
fedupofrainydays · 12/11/2014 22:11

R been very "colicky" tonight. Constant since 4.30 pm. Went to see osteopath this morn and she didn't Treat him as she thinks he's got a cold or Something so would t be responsive.
I went on my spin bike for 20 mins and it was a killer! I'm so unfit. And also been starving. Tryjng to eat healthier stuff but always end up
Towards the cakes Blush

Sorehead · 12/11/2014 22:29

fedup- would love a cake now! Had to ban all nice unhealthy food from the house in an effort to stop myself eating it in one go as I have no willpower at the moment. Well done on your 20 mins! That's 20 mins more than I could do Grin

YellowWellies · 12/11/2014 23:01

Sorehead that is THE very best type of doc to have. A mum who's little one had the same problem. Am really glad for you. Sorry to hear you've had a tough evening.

I'm really enjoying the newborn weeks this time. Maybe its because she's going to be our last? Because I'm more confident this time maybe? She's still not colicky and her reflux is under control when I watch what I eat. I'm not counting chickens yet but god I sooooo hope that going dairy free on day 5 means we escape the worst. I'm feeling like I'm almost into the mum of two 'groove' and have no idea (but utter respect for those who are) how I'd cope with a toddler and a colicky refluxing newborn. Jonas was into his screamfest weeks by this point - its so hard not to try to compare. Have we got away with it? Is it just round the corner? Will I jinx it even by typing this Confused ?

Sorehead · 13/11/2014 01:31

yellow- she's a lovely GP :) when she was on mat leave, I went to see her maternity cover (male) about migraines in tri 1. He said that usually they'd be looking to give me x, y an z...."but we can't because you're pregnant. Take paracetamol" then packed me on my way! When I saw my proper doctor at 34 weeks, without question she recommended (and wrote a note for work) I work from home for the remainder of my pregnancy rather than go to the office and said she remembered the last few weeks VERY well!

I'm glad things are easier for you second time round- it sounds like you had a really rough time with Jonas, so you definitely deserve this! Especially because you've cut out dairy nearly wrote diary then! I hope it continues to pay off and you continue to have a reflux/ colic free baby :)

Aah, thanks Bump. I suspect different iTunes accounts is why you can FaceTime from both drvices.

We had another night of being unsettled & crying from 11pm - 2am. I don't know what it is - delayed witching hour? Wind? He's not hungry, doesn't need changing, just unable to sleep & crying every time he goes down and fighting sleep.

On another note and very personal - I have discovered a prolapse :( and don't know what to do. Ring my HV or make an appointment for GP??
Dr Google doesn't say much ??????

Missus2ndwife · 13/11/2014 05:16

Oh and Yellow - fingers crossed all is ok and enjoy enjoy enjoy!! Hopefully, having caught the CMPI early you're in the clear. I hope it lasts for you and your bambino xx

ldt87 · 13/11/2014 05:35

Hi all, checking in while feeding, only just spotted this thread though I am on Facebook. Hop everyone has had some sleep tonight xx

tattyblue · 13/11/2014 06:46

When oh when will this baby sleep for more than 2 1/2 hours at a time? Even that amount's a rarity, usually it's more like 90 minutes. I know the answer is probably just "when she's ready", but after four weeks I'm beginning to fray. She usually goes back down again pretty quickly so I feel a bit rotten complaining but still. She'll get there, right?

Sorry to hear that Missus I thought I had as well (the back variety) but now think it's and internal pile?!?
We actually had a good night- 4 then 3 hour stretches, although like Bump it takes a while to re-settle.

Reached the end of my patience last night with constant feeding/fussing/ screaming for no reason. DH took over as I was near tears. I hate feeling like that as she's such a lovely baby usually Sad

fedupofrainydays · 13/11/2014 07:49

I'm in to week 9 and I only get two hours sleep between feeds. 2.5 if am lucky. Health visitor said very normal for bf baby. But still I feel your tired pain.

Are you sure its a prolapse missus? I think it's a gp thing unless still under midwife care. But coukd it just be very low pelvic floor? Mine felt like it was coming out a few weeks ago. Think gp will refer you to physio back at hospital.

fedupofrainydays · 13/11/2014 08:07

Oh and I am stiff after my bike and squat 'exertions' yesterday! Clearly got some work to do!

fedupofrainydays · 13/11/2014 08:09

How old is your baby now missus?

fedupofrainydays · 13/11/2014 08:11

Those with toddle pods have you gone straight for toddle over poddle?!

Missus2ndwife · 13/11/2014 08:16

Gosh I have no idea whether it's a very low pelvic floor now or a prolapse! It's looks like a muscle in the wrong place if that makes sense.
I think I should ring my HV and get advice on whether to make an appointment for GP ASAP or wait for 6week check up.

So glad neither MW, nct or HV never mentioned getting a prolapse or similar (sarcasm intended)!! Its like here's something that may happen to you but hey, we won't tell you and then you have to figure it out for yourself Confused

Baby finally went down at 1.30am, then feed at 4.30 and then 7.30am - so not bad on the sleep front. Now to figure out what the 2hrs of nigh, ing and crying before that was all about.

Missus2ndwife · 13/11/2014 08:16

Fedup he's 3.5 weeks

fedupofrainydays · 13/11/2014 08:26

As I was wondering whether it was his first 'leap' but that usually happens about 4.5 weeks (based on due date). But it's characterised by random crying and wanting to be cuddled / comfort sucking etc.

Sounds similar to what I felt - as I walked it felt like Somethjng was going to fall out or there was a big clot or air bubble 'up there'. It's got better as the weeks go by and I remember to do pelvic floor exercises to help 'lift it'. Basically your pelvic floor is like a big hammock and pregnancy can cause it to sag and dip in the in the middle and need to do some exercises to help tighten and lift it again. I read squats were good for this as well as traditional exercises hence why I was doing these yesterday!!

Happytimes31 · 13/11/2014 08:34

Missus-exact same night crying timetable and the red faced pushing/crying business. We think wind...

mrsb87 · 13/11/2014 08:39

Fedup we went straight for the Toddle. We felt the poddle wouldn't last him 5 minutes!

hefner · 13/11/2014 08:41

Poor ds seemed really uncomfortable last night and only slept for a 2 hour stretch and 2 x 1 hour stretches. I feel for those of you who have this every night - I've been lucky so far and usually get a 3 hour stretch.

Fedup I went straight for the toddle. It seems a good size for 5 week old ds but he is big.

fedupofrainydays · 13/11/2014 09:14

Cool. Might as for the toddle for Christmas from someone.
Also want to get the sleepyhead grande for when he's in his cot but that can wait.

cabster · 13/11/2014 09:17

Ugh we had a great night 2 nights ago, rubbish last night. JBob would not stop screaming unless there was a boob in his mouth (a dummy wouldn't cut it) and DD wouldn't go down in her cot until DH lay on the spare bed with her for an hour. Then she woke at 4 and back to the spare room they went.

While all this is going on I'm trying to feed a lazy baby - I'd get him latched on lying down, doze off, wake up half an hour later and my boob would feel as full as ever. Little imp had gone to sleep as well!

Then I struggled out of bed with a headache to get everyone ready for toddler group... Which I now realise is this afternoon.

Pass the Dairy Milk!

It doesn't help that Autocorrect keeps trying to change JBob to "kebab". Bob it shall have to be.

mrsb87 · 13/11/2014 09:20

They had some sale packages recently on their website fedup. Dylan loves his Smile
I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed today, my poor house is a complete shit pit. I never seem to catch up with it! I spoke to dh about it last night as he was getting all shirty about the mess. I come down this morning to find he's left last night's washing up Sad thanks love you've really helped

Aw little kebab! Hehe. My phone does stupid things like that, friends names like Caz becomes can, Tash becomes rash which is soooooo awkward when you're talking about someone at work!!
