fedup not getting on too badly. Making sure he only feeds off one boob for at least 2 hours sometimes 3 after he's had his first feed on that boob, even if it feels empty to me I'm determined he drains it and gets the good stuff. I'm also pulling him off when I feel my let down and watching it amusingly spray into a muslin cloth! It's easier said than done though with a toddler in tow-sometimes I have to pull him off earlier than he'd like. But I'm getting better at dealing with 2. Bedtime/bath/making dinner is defo the hardest bit without husband around. Still getting a mixture of green and yellow poos so haven't nailed it yet... Time will tell I guess.

belly mine will only sleep on me at the minute at night and most of the day too, either in a sling or on me. I'm taking it as comforting and not worrying about it. Ned is 5 weeks old and I agree with yellow I don't think it does any harm later on knowing they are secure and loved. Besides if I let him sleep on me I get 3 hour stretches at night, if I try and transfer him I get 20 min snatches with a lot of crying in between. It's not worth it, I feel much better with 3 hour sleeps!!!

captain and Fed up my morning revolves around homes under the hammer. I can't describe the crushing disappointment when it's a repeat I've already seen. I think Lucy's unnaturally thick hair interferes with her hearing and that's why she is so shouty.

Captainmcgraw · 12/11/2014 13:55

Haha Rudy that's how I feel when it's a repeat of 'Location, Location, Location' and I have to admit it's very rare that it isn't one I haven't seen three times once before. God I live a sad life.

Totally agree about letting them nap/sleep on you if it means more sleep and less crying.

mrsb87 · 12/11/2014 14:20

You're not alone captain , I love a bit of Kirsty and Phil!

fedupofrainydays · 12/11/2014 15:02

Totally. I feel cheated if is a repeat or even the 'catch up / revisit' location episodes bug me

Kirstipops · 12/11/2014 15:10

I hate repeats of Grand Designs, and I've given up waiting for an episode of Frasier that I haven't seen!

MundayCakes85 · 12/11/2014 15:26

I'm watching Grantchester at the moment. It's quite good and a bit of Robson Green is always pleasant Smile
Weighed Etta today at my mum's work as she's 1 month old and in 2 weeks she's put on over 1lb!! Such a chunky monkey, almost 10lb now Shock no wonder my back aches from all the nocturnal bouncy walking Grin
Managed a few hours sleep on the sofa this morning and got a perverse pleasure from extracting 2 big bogies when she couldn't breathe very well Blush

Sorehead · 12/11/2014 15:30

My day is normally planned around homes under the hammer- my goal was to watch it downstairs this week instead of in bed.....so far been successful. Next week's challenge is to be dressed and have brushed my hair in time to watch it. The following week will involve make up too (don't want to do too much too soon WinkGrin) I hate it when they go back to visit a house and it's nowhere near finished, or they just show you architects' plans- very disappointing Angry

Got a docs appointment at 4:10 to discuss potential reflux with GP- wish me luck! DP is coming too so hopefully we won't be fobbed off as he's more assertive than me.

mrsb87 · 12/11/2014 15:41

Good luck. I hope you don't have the full palaver I had!

STIGZ · 12/11/2014 16:04

I have just put a bottle of colic drops in the steriliser for 9 minutes in the microwave Hmm was wondering why my kitchen smelled funny, thank god the bottle had not started to melt, my mum is having my little darlings over night tonight, so me & dp off out for a meal and some wine, i'll probably fall asleep on the table after one glass of Wine im looking forward to having an unbroken sleep tonight, feel like a zombie today, stayed in all day as the weather is crap, but entertaining dd1 is a hard task, i used to think having a newborn was hard but when they have an attitude & can talk the hind legs off a donkey, its sometimes challenging to say the least, think im also feeling a bit guilty and try to give her every minute of my spare time so she doesnt feel left out... Sad but its bloody draining sometimesConfused especially when it gets nearer the end of the week, cant wait till a sunday till dp's day off, when i can share the load!!

I READ THE WHOLE THREAD! WOO HOO!

Hello all. Nice to be back. MN on my phone does my head in so I've been more on FB but I'm properly back now!

JBob is a love. He'll be 4 weeks on Friday and he's already so different to DD, I hope think he'll be more chilled than she is, he's already doing well with his sleeping though I know it won't last forever. We're bf (still with nipple shields as I'm too chicken to take them off) and doing a cross between co sleeping and Bednest.

munday DH and I often fight over who gets to extract DD's bogies, it's our guilty pleasure! Grin

cabster · 12/11/2014 16:20

Can I also congratulate you all on some truly hilarious typos in the wee small hours - I hope to be adding to the cannon over the coming months. Thanks

fatpony · 12/11/2014 17:02

I love on homes under the .., how smug the female presenter is when the people buy blind! 'You didn't view the property first! You didn't realise it has dry rot? Or a covenant against expansion ?' Talk about gleeful.

For ultra trashi TV can I recommend I found the gown/say yes to the dress and ladies of london.

fatpony · 12/11/2014 17:38

Can I ask, for daytime naps do you all move the. Baby around the house with you? Just read an old thread on MN about this. It hadn't really crossed my mind as I think the baby would wake if I kept on moving him. He naps in his toddlepod/occasionally the bouncer in the sitting room and I pop in about every five-eight mins to check on him (I live in a small flat)...

fedupofrainydays · 12/11/2014 17:44

Pretty much yes fat although today he was asleep in sleepyhead upstairs whilst I was downstairs clearing up but not for long

Sorehead · 12/11/2014 18:56

fatpony- love "say yes to the dress" Grin What channel/ when is Ladies of London on, and what's it about?

Oooh not seen this say yes to the dress or the ladies of London - what channels?

magichandles · 12/11/2014 20:35

I've so been watching Ladies of London - it's basically Real Housewives of London and it's on ITVBe tonight I think at 9 (I've got it series linked so not 100% sure).

Hey all,

My house is very quite and chilled tonight maybe it's the calm before the storm!! Just been for my first weigh in at slimming world and I've lost 6 llbs this week. It's not been hard at all I've had one glass of wine at the weekend and chocolate every day this is my kind of diet!

Estate agent been and done the photos for our house going on the market feel sad but it's something we have to do, feel sorry for the kids as they live where we are now.:(

Pregnantagain7 · 12/11/2014 21:25

Love not live.

bumpbangbump · 12/11/2014 21:42

I went back to slimming world tonight too. I'm now 4lbs heavier than I was when I first joined last September... I had lost nearly 3.5st so needless to say I've put on an ungodly amount of weight during pregnancy!!!

Sorehead · 12/11/2014 21:59

Not a great start to the night. DS is normally asleep in his Moses basket now but DH did his last feed before bed so I could sleep (he's up for 5am so I've been doing the night shift solo this week) and it seems to have unsettled him a bit for some reason and he was wide awake. I'm waiting for him to fall into a floppy armed sleep to give us the best chance of him staying asleep when I transfer him. Fingers crossed everyone!

Doctor prescribed infant gaviscon but agreed it sounded like reflux. On the plus side, if this doesn't work, I don't think we'll have problems getting alternative medicine because she has a one year old little boy who was really colicky/ refluxy.

Hope everyone has a good night!

Missus2ndwife · 12/11/2014 22:03

Bump how do you FaceTime between iPad and iPhone??
