Hi all, welcome to thread 2!

Ha fedup I've already been doing a bit of that. Apparently massage the inner ankles helps! Grin we are all the same and want happy babies and just a bit more sleep!!!

My phone broke after being dropped on the floor......how am I meant to browse the internet during night feeds? Sad

Happytimes31 · 10/11/2014 22:58

Yes fast let down here too and lots of air gulping and then frustration later on. Lucky to have lots of milk I guess but is tricky to deal with it!

YellowWellies · 10/11/2014 23:01

Sorehead it must be a day for it! I dropped my tablet and shattered the screen again. I bought a cheapo backup tablet 'for DH' (ahem) whilst its being fixed as I couldn't survive night feeds and holding her upright for half an hour after a feed, without one.

Sazzle it would be AMAZING if you can eat cheese!!!

I have to say 7 weeks off dairy and Lil is only refluxing now if I eat soya. She farts like a carthorse but isn't troubled by trapped wind, is easy to burp and isn't struggling with letdown. She clicks a teeny bit when feeding due to a lip tie. So far she isn't colicky but I'm not counting chickens yet. I had a massive oversupply last time as I pumped so much to flush out Jonas' jaundice, and got awful advice from a MW who'd clearly never BF to change sides every 10 minutes (!!!) and it was very confusing as to what the problem was. Lactose overload is likely to be much more common than CMPI. This time its been much clearer due to early elimination diet and almost block feeding. I do hate blimmin "what's wrong with the baby" cluedo - its so nerve wracking. Good luck as to isolating what the issue is ladies Thanks .

Me23 · 11/11/2014 00:50

Apart from x2 30 min naps v has been awake since 5pm! Aghh so tired need to sleep. She was just nodding off so I've put her down in carrycot she was stirring as I popped to loo I'm now scared to go back into bedroom in case she's still awake!

mrsb87 · 11/11/2014 01:01

Oh my what a night. Barely any sleep as he's been crying or feeding. The pod is in bed with us tonight in the hope we might get some sleep. I'm so frustrated as the gaviscon works if I can keep it in him, 8/10 times he pukes it up the second he's taken it!!! It's so so difficult to give to a breastfed baby, he gets his knickers in a right old twist. I think I might ring the doctor back and tell them it's not working for us and see what they say.

How was the cafe experience pregnant?! Or dare I not ask!!

Sorry to hear about unsettled babies. Mine is wide awake with big awake eyes! Sleeeeeeeeep.

fedupofrainydays · 11/11/2014 02:36

I take it no one else has bleeding from piles?!

FlipFantasia · 11/11/2014 02:51

Fedup I've had some and pain too. Last week, after not really having problems with piles ever (and not with the older kids either). Found it quite grim and painful. I took the advice given on Facebook and used ice cubes (wrapped in a ziploc bag). I put them on several times (chasing after my older kids, wearing the baby, with ice cubes shoved up by my bum - a new high/low in the birth/baby stakes!). But it worked. I can still feel them in the shower but no pain or bleeding. Oh and fibre and lots of water too.

YellowWellies · 11/11/2014 02:58

Yawn I had wee owlish / Loris eyes staring at me, unblinking for half an hour too, then she was growling at my boob and playing a game of trying to latch on / alternately bestow Mummy with winning smiles. In total with a nappy change and holding her upright for half an hour, this feed has taken 1.5 hours! Five more minutes and I can lay her flat!

I have to confess to being glad I'm still naive about piles. Ice cubes. Ouch! Shock

Fedup I'm not sure if I have piles or maybe a prolapse but going to the toilet is a very different experience these days. Hoping my pelvic floor muscles come back one day!!
Sorry to those with unsettled babes, we've managed a few hours so far.

fedupofrainydays · 11/11/2014 06:22

Difficult night here too. R Wakes up crying but doesn't really seem hungry. Think he's got tummy ache again

mrsb87 · 11/11/2014 06:33

Worst night ever, who the he'll thought giving a sicky baby 15ml of nasty gaviscon in the middle of a fed was a good idea. Clearly not someone who's tried it is all I can say!!!! Ugh. Poor dh, I feel bad for him having to go to work after being woken up every hour and a half.
I'm afraid I've not experienced piles to be able to advise sorry, I hope it clears up soon for you all though, it sounds miserable to have to put up with.

fedupofrainydays · 11/11/2014 07:13

munday prolapse??
Might try the ice cubes but I think mine is more internal so not sure I can shove an ice cube up there!! Dreading going for a poo - ouch

MundayCakes85 · 11/11/2014 07:19

Yeah not sure what's going on but I don't feel when things finish. Sorry if TMI. I'm doing my exercises all the time but so far nothing happening. Am wondering if it's got something to do with te episiotomy?

BadgerInBury · 11/11/2014 07:19

I'm in the piles club. Bleeding, sore to sit down, deep aching. Not nice. Added to this I've suddenly started getting a sting somewhere in the left side of my fanjo when I wee, and either my lochia has come back or I just got my period?! It's a party down there and no mistake.

sazzlehopes · 11/11/2014 07:23

Fedup had a bit of blood when I wipe...(so sorry for the tmi) but I can't actually feel the piles iyswim... And the blood is only occasional. No pain when I poo, but like munday it doesn't feel quite right down there. I'm trying to do pelvuc floor but it still feels bruised and I can't stop my wee flow yet Shock

sazzlehopes · 11/11/2014 07:29

Sorry lots of you had shockers of a night. Ours was better again - two decent 3 hour stretches but only because I let N sleep on me all night. He's so much happier and less snuffly that way.
Yes yellow it would be amazing to crack open the cheese but I'm not quitting the no dairy yet in case it's that not oversupply. It's interesting you're seeing an effect now after 7 weeks so I'll preserve. I also had conflicting advice in the hospital when N was in special care for a week i was told to pump 10 mins both sides for my milk. I'm not sure if the amount I was pumping created an over supply?
Will be trying the block feeding out more properly today and pulling off N when I feel my let down arriving to see if that helps.
Hope everyone with rough nights gets a Brew and a nap today x

Shirehobbit · 11/11/2014 08:19

munday - things definitely felt looser and flabby down there after my episiotomy with DS and I've not had the same feelings this time, so I think those muscles did repair/tone up for me.

We can join the rubbish night crew - long feed followed by epic wind session and just as she got that last burp up....she started to root again. Repeated the whole process, this time got a 20 minute nap before missus wanted feeding again...

I found my iron tablets were giving me pile like pains. I stopped taking them as my iron levels were fine and most of the bum pain has gone. Drinking tons of water and eating plums and pears have resolved the piles I had, I couldn't face the suppositries. Still have ouchy stitches but thankfully seem to have got back control of my bladder after the first week of continually wetting myself Blush.

MundayCakes85 · 11/11/2014 10:17

Thanks for the replies. Glad we're not alone in all this. Think I'd go a bit crazy if I didn't have you lot having the same experiences Smile
