Hi all, welcome to thread 2!

So. Much. Poo. Poo everywhere. EVERYWHERE.

First day without DH is going well!

mrsb87 · 03/11/2014 12:11

Badger we had a colossal poonami this morning during his morning feed. Soooooooo much poo!!

fedupofrainydays · 03/11/2014 13:42

Sorry but that made me laugh!

Feeding frenzy continues here. R most upset by the pause to take His brother to preschool but not everything can stop for hungry baby!

Sorehead · 03/11/2014 14:39

yellow- I'm going to try the swirling tip too. Thank you; you have so much good advice :)

binky- don't want to jinx it because I've got to get through to 9pm before DH gets home but the thought of him going back to work (a lot of tears were shed!) was worse than the reality so far.

I'm having a lazy day today like the last few days then going to give myself chores to do around the house each day. I'm a bit stranded at the moment due to c section and living on a hill (I was planning to ignore the advice to not push the pram and go for some walks but the HV pointed out that pushing it back up the hill would definitely be too much :() good job I like daytime tv! Grin

Captainmcgraw · 03/11/2014 14:41

Do you think we might end up doubling the sleepyhead's profit this month?!

I've just popped him in it still lying on too of ring sling which he fell asleep in. 20 minutes later he's still asleep in it despite DD shouting in his face!

We managed to get to a playgroup this morning - DS in my new Petite Connecta Baby (which I am loving and highly recommend if you are on short side) and DD in pushchair. So many parents of two there who helped me out with things - it's like I've joined a new club.

YellowWellies · 03/11/2014 16:30

[blush Sorehead I've no idea if it works as I've not FF but thank you. I hope it does, SIL swears by it

MundayCakes85 · 03/11/2014 17:44

Today has been a wide awake, poonami sort of day. But we managed to get out and about with my mum and figured out my Victoria sling so E slept for half an hour!!
Here's hoping we get more than 4 hours sleep tonight Confused

BadgerInBury · 03/11/2014 18:03

After the poonami, BB also projectile vomited directly into my face and wee'd the minute her nappy was taken off - twice. On the plus side we had a successful trip to the supermarket for more nappies and I managed to take the dog and pram round our local park. I also discovered the genius of a sling around the house so she stops crying and I can do things. All in all, it's been a good first day on our own, I think. Sorehead hope you're feeling good too.

MundayCakes85 · 03/11/2014 18:14

Badger sounds like we had the SAME day Smile
Just got her to sleep in the sling then daddy came home and needed cuddles so she woke up! Hmm
How was your day Sore ?

fedupofrainydays · 03/11/2014 18:34

Its been all about the poo today too here!

horseyhelen · 03/11/2014 18:43

Fedup we are also in a growth spurt, Lewis was six weeks yesterday and I feel like I have been constantly feeding, it is the first time I have felt guilty about my dd she has been so good until now but she is noticing my attention is all on ds I hope it doesn't last to long

Sorehead · 03/11/2014 18:57

badger & munday well done for surviving your first days! You both sound like you were a lot more active than me- my day involved sleep and milk (for DS) and daytime tv and lemon drizzle cake (for me)

Tried to make dinner but DS decided he wanted feeding an hour earlier than planned so need to go and finish cooking now typical man, disrupting my plans ;)

yellow- I think the swirling may be working. We've had two feeds now and he seems a lot more comfortable after them :) thank you!!

Sorehead · 03/11/2014 18:59

Actually, munday was today your first day? I've lost track! One day of trash tv has turned my brain to mush ;)

fedupofrainydays · 03/11/2014 19:51

Well done ladies!
Trashiest tv is the biggest loser usa. I'm watching whilst eating cakes and feeding Ds!

MundayCakes85 · 03/11/2014 20:04

Cake sounds good- I had Timtams from Australia. You suck tea through them and they're a chocolately "orgasm" in your mouth Grin
Sore DH went back to work last week so getting the hang of things. Mornings are a write off- we get up again at about 10am and try to get dressed/ have breakfast/ not poo on our clothes by midday!! Smile

Missus2ndwife · 03/11/2014 21:12

I am also now swirling the bottle after reading Yellow's suggestion. So far so good

mrsb87 · 03/11/2014 21:41

We've resorted to infacol. Poor little mite is always so uncomfortable in the evening, constant crying, cottage cheese style sick and pulling his knees up. It's so heartbreaking. I really hope this works. What's people's experiences of infacol?

Sorehead · 03/11/2014 21:44

Munday- 10am was Homes Under The Hammer time, watched in bed....my goal for the end of the week is to be dressed and watch it on the sofa Grin Off to google Timtams!

fedup- Dance mums with Jennifer Ellison (and the American version) probably gives biggest loser a run for it's money in the trashy stakes! Makes me cringe but I can't stop watching.

fedupofrainydays · 03/11/2014 21:47

I find infacol works in the sense it helps him to some pretty decent burps. But it also makes him a bit more sick. But he was sick anyway. He doesn't seem in pain from the sick so pretty sore it's not the uncomfy reflux just bad wind / tummy ache he's got.

Anyone seen a cranial oesteopath? I did with ds1 after his difficult birth and thinking or doing again with R to see if that will help his windy / tummy probs.

fedupofrainydays · 03/11/2014 21:49

sore DH and I saw and advert for dance mums and he was 'what the f is that?!' I quite want to watch it!!

fedupofrainydays · 03/11/2014 21:51

Theres some dating show for female millionaires which is ridiculous too...!

Watching the wright stuff debate the tax breakdown thing this morning was far too relevant / serious / real life for me! (Yes i was dressed by 9.15 but only cos ds1 had a class to get to!)

Mrs - I have been using Infacol for the last few days and bubba definitely seems better. Some one did mention it needs a couple of days to line the tummy so give it time.

BadgerInBury · 03/11/2014 23:16

Another yes for Infacol here - BB much more comfy and burping well. Unfortunately I put the bottle in my dressing gown pocket with no lid on (baby brain much?) and nowhere in walking distance sells it so tonight we'll be moving on to Dentinox, will report back in the morning.

Sorehead · 03/11/2014 23:17

fedup- is that 'Millionaire Matchmaker'? (Not that I watch it, of course Blush)

We've not found that infacol makes a huge amount of difference. As someone else up thread said, we're counting down the days til we can use gripe water here- from what people are saying it's like miracle water!
