I can't really complain as she's been an angel up until now. The last few nights she's settled by now but not tonight!

bumpbangbump · 01/11/2014 23:03

What are these night sweats you all speak of. I have heard of their cousin, the all day and all night sweats! I am utterly gross!!

Glad to hear you're having some success yellow. Must be such a relief.

Binky, sounds rough. Hope littleun calms down for you soon.

Managed to express nearly 8oz today. Gave her some bpob and then a 6oz bottle which she has only had 4 from. Now asleep on dp and I'm still awake! He was supposed to bring her up after I brushed my teeth so she could go to bed. I'm going to have to go down and get her aren't I?

STIGZ · 01/11/2014 23:06

claire i was feeling great last week, off all pain medication and getting on with housework etc then thursday night i burst out laughing and it felt really tender low down in my stomach, then yesterday it gradually got more painful and after peeing i had to stand up from the toilet really slowly as it was so uncomfortable, got an emergency appointment at docs and he confirmed i had urine infection, i have took 4 of the antibiotics since yesterday and the constant pain in my stomach has gone but still a bit uncomfortable when i pee

YellowWellies · 01/11/2014 23:08

Lil has cuddled and fed pretty constantly since 4pm - we had an afternoon on the beach - she didn't get the memo about sea air knocking you out then!? Hmm She's just unlatched and passed out on my boobs sooking in her sleep. If that mammoth clusterfeed session bagsies me less than a 2 hour stretch I'm going to latch her onto DH's hairy man boobs in the middle of the night Grin .

STIGZ · 01/11/2014 23:17

So maybe just get checked incase you have uti ? I cant wait to be properly healed, second c/sec is a totally diffrent ball game to my first c/sec recovery wise Confused i probably did over do it when i felt a bit better but its great not having spd or sciatic pain anymore, felt great to be able to do things without being agony! But will take it more slowly for another few weeks

YellowWellies · 01/11/2014 23:31

Is it the relaxin in my system or my utterly stretched innards, but my god since having kids I can fart like a moped!!!!! Blush Blush Blush Blush Anyone else?

MundayCakes85 · 02/11/2014 00:03

Yellow I think I have slight incontinence post birth as I just can't control my wind. Add to that loose bowels due to iron tablets and I'm super sexy Halloween Grin
E just had a proper little laugh and giggle in her sleep. Soooo cute, think we're starting to get proper recognition and smiles, not just wind Wink

fedupofrainydays · 02/11/2014 00:35

Just back from the wedding party. R went on the dance floor and was a good boy all round! Got home and he was screaming, DH held him whilst I got ready for bed and now he's legged it out the door to get a kebab! It's all he's talked about all day!
Knackered now, hoping to get some sleep.

fedupofrainydays · 02/11/2014 00:49

DH locked himself out the house didn't he? Cue door bell ringing incessantly Hmm

Re wind - my god it was terrible after birth! I could fart for like a minute there was so much wind! Still quite bad now too

Tried white noise binky?

fedupofrainydays · 02/11/2014 01:45

R doesn't want to sleep either Sad 2 am and no sleep for me yet

Happytimes31 · 02/11/2014 01:49

Same here, wretched wind poor baby!

Missus2ndwife · 02/11/2014 02:06

We're also not a sleep here. Basically since 10pm I've fed twice, changed three nappies and cuddled/ soothed a lot!! What happened to the lovely baby boy I had a few days ago?

BadgerInBury · 02/11/2014 02:27

Baby Badger has just conked out after five and a half hour cluster feed and I've got her into the Moses basket. I daren't try to get the basket up to the bedroom - looks like another night on the sofa then. Hope you all manage to get some sleep soon...

BadgerInBury · 02/11/2014 02:39

Gah! She just woke herself up by punching herself in the face. Here we go again.

MundayCakes85 · 02/11/2014 03:19

Feel for those with awake babies- had a day of visitors and took a lot of feeding and soothing to get E to sleep at midnight. Just had another feed and she's back down.
DH however has been MIA "wetting the baby's head" all day. Just text and told him to come home. He'd better not be useless in the morning Hmm

Captainmcgraw · 02/11/2014 04:15

The opposite here - he was asleep by 9pm but after the last feed (3.30am) he's now wide eyed and ready to start the day. I've got a horrible sore throat and think I've caught DDs cold Hmm

mrsb87 · 02/11/2014 05:30

Yay, 4 1/2 hour stretch! Very different from last week. I think a mixture of growth spurt and me on a lot of meds didn't help. Such lad he's a happy chappy again, even if it is only briefly!

fatpony · 02/11/2014 05:44

How old is he mrsb? I'd kill for 4.5 hrs! We did just get 3hrs 20 tho, now to get the little terror back to sleep!

mrsb87 · 02/11/2014 05:58

He's 3 weeks 2 days. Trying to get him back to sleep so it's on the boob for round 2. Currently trying to persuade him he is sleepy again and that he really wants to let mummy and daddy sleep in!

Sorehead · 02/11/2014 09:09

munday- how's DH's head this morning? What time did he get home? Mine was out yesterday from 12pm to 11pm. When he came home, he suggested I go to bed and he'd look after DS.....like that was going to happen! Pissed idiot! That was for a "family" wet the head, although family had all left well before 9pm so he met some friends. I'm so annoyed with him because he's out with his friends next week too (then he's not out again until a wedding in December!) and he only came home at 11 because I nagged at him. (I wouldn't normally nag but he knows DS isn't sleeping well at night so I wanted him to not have a hangover so he could take over this morning and let me go to bed.He still stinks of alcohol this morning so he's not going anywhere near DS until the smell goes.

badger mrsb missus fedup captain happy fatpony (and any others I've missed)- I hope you managed to get back to sleep, and captain- I hope it's not a cold. Are you bf? And if so, can you take cold and flu medicine?

Sorehead · 02/11/2014 09:09

Sorry for lack of commas between names but I couldn't be bothered changing between bold and not bold Grin

binkybunny · 02/11/2014 09:21

We finally got her to sleep at midnight, I think she went through til about 4.30 ish when DH got up with her but tbh I was dead to the world until 8am Shock.

Does anyone know why wind/colic gets so bad at night and not so much during the day?

binkybunny · 02/11/2014 09:23

fed up our white noise app has saved our sanity during nappy changes but doesn't seem to work when she's racked with wind.

Happytimes31 · 02/11/2014 09:23

binky would like to know that too! Was up and down all night...

fedupofrainydays · 02/11/2014 09:46

Yes white noise won't work if wind!

We had the thing last night of him falling asleep but waking up 5 mins later. I can't work out if a) hungry b) wants comfort or c) in windy pain. Babies are so confusing! Am shattered though. DH got up with ds1 - would have gone mad if he didn't!
