Fine now, I think not drinking enough and usual people's tiredness contributed. Look after yourselves as much as you can lovely peoples ??

YellowWellies · 31/10/2014 22:57

Bump honestly that is totally normal for a BF baby in the first month (they poo and poo to get their systems going and then it slows right down) and actually preferable to a constipated baby - they are sooooo miserable when constipated! From about 5-6 weeks some BF babies can go up to 14 days between poos! BM is so perfectly tailored for many babies there is so little waste. We never had 14 day gaps, but from month two J would regularly go 5 days between poos but god when he went!!!. I hope Lil is the same for the sake of her bum.

Hope MrsDog is feeling better today. It is so easy to not eat/ drink properly when there is a little person demanding constant attention.
Went to a friend's house for a little Halloween party- DD had lots of cuddles but had to come home as she was hungry and it's almost bed time!
Hope everyone had as lovely an evening as possible.

BadgerInBury · 31/10/2014 23:30

Sending love to thedogs and hope you get given a break soon - you're really being put through it Sad

Baby Badger is EBF at three weeks two days and has only done two poos in the last week - two days, two days and now we're on day three and still nothing.

The GP said not to worry, she's just using everything that is going in, but I'm still a bit concerned for her and her tummy. She's starting being (really rather) sick after feeds and has been struggling with wind and colic too, though we've started on Infacol and me drinking fennel tea and she has had a better night so far. Dreading BB showing signs of CMPI; I'm normally dairy free because of IBS-D but pregnancy cleared it up so I could eat normally for the first time in ages. Really don't want to go back on my trace elimination diet!!

Kirstipops · 01/11/2014 00:17

Fedup re: Jelonet question, no I don't wash my nipple before a feed, I just give it a quick wipe with my washable breast pad, mainly so Heidi's mouth doesn't skite off it Grin.
Hope Mrsthedog is feeling better xx

Mamami · 01/11/2014 00:39

Hello all,

The last 3 weeks have been insane (as you all know) and I've been rubbish with coping with lack of sleep so become a lurker and moved my intermittent attentions to the FB page but I've missed this page and decided to use this 3 week growth spurt to catch up. Hope everyone's well xx

RudyTuesday · 01/11/2014 01:18

Hi all - how do I find the Facebook page?

Sorehead · 01/11/2014 01:27

puppy- that sounds scary, I hope your wife is ok now and you both feel better after a rest.

binky- thanks. I was just worrying because everyone was talking about their baby poking lots (even though I've read that even going 3 days is normal for FF, and was told not to worry when I thought DS was constipated the other day)

ANOTHER bad evening here Sad I really thought we'd cracked it at the beginning of the week but DS has other plans! I'm exhausted and DH is going out tomorrow afternoon which means I'll be doing the whole day and night on my own after no sleep tonight....don't know how I'm going to cope! He'd best not have a hangover on Sunday Angry

bump- join the club (non settling baby, not constant feeding) Hopefully you manage to get some sleep!

Missus2ndwife · 01/11/2014 02:51

Sore my baby is FF and poos all the time. In fact I never knew a baby could poo this much. Last night daddy even had his first exploding poo and soiled clothing experience. Poor bambino's tummy must be upset :(

Puppy - look after Mrs Dog & yourself

Anyone else having the occasional bout of heartburn post pregnancy?

fedupofrainydays · 01/11/2014 03:05

missus yes - I still have the bottle of gaviscon by my bed! Need it most nights. Strange as other than pregnancy I don't normally get it!

fedupofrainydays · 01/11/2014 03:39

For those of you with babies who won't settle here are Three things that seem to be helping R to settle (not always but worth a go):

  • making his bed more cosy - I think he felt the bednest was too open and his startle reflex was keeping him up. Now I've made it a bit smaller for him by using rolled up cellular blankets (none near his face) he sleeps much better (concept of sleepyhead)
  • infacol. Didn't think it worked with ds1 but R seems much less fractious now we are using it. Also, even though he's sicky it makes me think it's not uncomfy reflux for him
  • White noise app. The train sent him off to sleep last night. Used this with ds1 although he liked the fan! Or the hairdryer!

Anyone know the best way to get baby shit out of a cream carpet?
Just a heads up- when changing baby due to vomit incident, don't cuddle or hold up when changing her nappy as you will get sick and shit down your knickers and belly!! Haloween Sad

RudyTuesday · 01/11/2014 05:05

Does anyone know whether nursing clothes are bit more generous size wise? Am doing some online shopping and not sure whether to get pre-pregnancy size (like I would for maternity clothes) or go up one to accommodate weight gain.

Sorehead · 01/11/2014 05:24

I can see how sleep deprivation is an effective form of torture!

Shame Halloween isn't today- don't think I'd need make up to look like a zombie/ some other sort of ghoul Halloween Grin

Sorehead · 01/11/2014 05:26

munday- that's not what you need in the early hours. The only things I can suggest are vanish for the stain and febreeze for the smell. Hopefully someone will come along with better suggestions soon though

Missus2ndwife · 01/11/2014 05:29

We're still up after bubba's earlier feed. Unsettled, grisly baby.

First dose of Infacol administered and we have a much more settled baby.

Now I wonder if he's going to need a feed at 6.30am?

fedupofrainydays · 01/11/2014 06:18

Sorry nothing's working bump could be baby just having a growth spurt

rudy how much heavier are you? Anything maternity or nursing tends to be a bit bigger so I would go normal size or maybe one up
