Kosh - I knew the news, but sent you a non commital hug comment earlier in the week 'cus I didn't want to upset you, tho I agree with HC and usandbump - we're all here for you. WHATEVER you decide to do. Don't worry about dates I was clueless both times!!
Annie - re teats, from what i remember with dd1 we changed teats when she fell asleep halfway thru a feed then woke really soon afterwards hungry. It was as if the sucking wore her out before she was full.
Welcome new girls.
Ref sleeping - dd2 is in her big cot in the nursery with her sister - they seem to find comfort in each other and are sleeping really soundly and settling quicker. dd2 wakes at 12/1 for a feed then thru till 7/8. she only takes 4 x 5oz bottles in a day then 3/4oz at night. she's healthy alert happy and settled so she's obviously getting enough. She's really smily, giggly and talking to me now - soooo cute. and she loves tummy time. Its really nice now both girls are aware of each other - they seem to have bonded and I love it.
really looking forward to her sleeping thru. dd1 did it from 9 weeks so we've been so spoilt. 1 feed a night and her settled and sleeping during the day in a pattern is brilliant really so I musn't grumble.
hungry as hell tonight - eating everything in sight maybe I'm having a growth spurt instead of the girls!!! Off for a biccy now speak soon xxx

VoodooBanana · 20/10/2006 22:07

well, dd was actually 11 days late, so I was induced, and put on the awful drip, had my waters broken, then dd leaked out some meconium so they all panicked and she went on the head monitor, then I pushed her out face first 7lb 15oz so I tore badly, 3rd degree &epis; then my placenta didnt come out, so had to go for surgery. After doing it all on gas and air and rubbish pethidene I was forced into having a spinal block and in surgery for 2hrs while dh held a screaming dd somewhere.
Then it got better, breast feeding etc etc, very anaemic but went home; then 10 days later had massive haemmorhage so was rushed back in (was told to as so anaemic iron was 6.9)
turned out had 'retained products' so had choice of the abortion-pills to get rid of it, or a d&c under general -went for the op to get it over with, had another 3 days in hosp breast feeding when it was baking hot in July,
when I had that op they took out all of my beautifully healing stitches and re-stitched me! Midwife went ape at this, had to go thru stitches all over again.
Finally had freinds and family watching me like hawks as they were sure I would develop PND after all this...luckilly I didnt.
Now dd is 4mths old in 2 days and I love her to bits, really enjoying bf and never wantto go back to work!!!!!!!!!!!

Gorgeous pic of Sefton, Nix. Have you been in touch with Faghma, by any chance?

whitestar · 21/10/2006 11:26

hi everyone, hope your all well,

Well I'm afraid I have to join the smug ones who are getting sleep, Logan is also going through!!!!!!!!!!!! He goes down about 7.30pm and wakes up about 5am for 5oz ff then back down till about 7.30- 8 ish. I sleep with ear plugs in so that he doesn't wake me with his snorting (he sounds like a wild boar most the time)

At the hospital this week they put him in bigger boots and bent the bar at a more extreme angle. I thought it was going to be a night mare but he is so much happier now he still crys when I put them back on after his daily hour off but I think I'd complain too. His right foot still not looking great and doc said that it looks like they'll have to repeat the operation on that foot and put him back into plastercasts. But I know what to expect now so will do what ever is needed. He also had his 1st jabs on wed not too bad at all he slept all afternoon and his temp spiked a few times but trusted old calpol sorted that out.

HC- I really feel for you at the moment my dd was a nightmare when ds1 was born there was 2 years between them. I really didn't like her and got sooo angry with her. But it really helped having time with just her even now we get on so much better when its just the 2 of us. Everyone says it is because our personalities are so simular and we're both capricorns!

All of you who ve posted pictures -your babies are so cute July was definately a good month for beautiful babies. I love seeing the little girls it's all boys round me at the momment maybe I should try for another pink one second thoughts...

Hi to newmum36 and voodoo

Koshka - huge hugs to you, you know where we are if you need support. I'll see if I can offer any advice on your thread.

Better go ds2 is calling

Annie29 · 21/10/2006 12:56

Hi Everyone,

Koshka, thinking of you, good luck. [hug]

Getting very stroppy these days, due to lack of sleep. Not down to Kayley mind, she's quite good considering she's the 3 month old, it's DS who keeps waking. Last night was a nightmare. He woke up screamingabout a million times. I don't know what's up with him. He doesn't seem to be teething, maybe he has a bit of a cold, but it's unreal how long he screams for and for no apparent reason, as soon as DH takes him out of the room he's fine again, back into bed all smiles and kisses, and back to sleep for another 5 minutes. He's asleep now, but has already woken up screaming once. Maybe he's having nightmares... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

gorgeous photos again, Sleep, and JeanieG, what beautiful hair Abbey has!

Must go, Kayley's fidgeting, can't have her waking up DS...

Annie

HumphreysCoroner · 21/10/2006 15:32

Afternoon ladies

koshka-hope today goes OK for you (((xxx)))

Have made gingerbread men or should I say gingerbread people to be P.C. today with DD1. Problem is she soon lost interest so ended up doing them on my own with Sophie screaming for food and attention .

Some dickhead has left me neutral feedback on Ebay for one of DH's bike parts. DH said there was nothing wrong and anyway, if there was a problem why didn't he send it back for a refund. Tosser!!!

Sophie gave me a 3am wakeup call followed by 6am. She seems to be hungry alot lately-nearly time for that yummy cereal mix.

whitestar-hope Logan doesn't need a repeat op Am really trying to stay calm with DD1 but as you know-tis so hard.

Just going to hoover upstairs quick then feed Sophie. Love to all.

Byee

hey KZ. Re steel tits, mine haven't been two bad, as i have gradually replaced feeds with FF, but I remember last time it only took 3 days to get my boobs back to normal. They hurt by the end of the day but don't leak, and it is absolute bliss to be able to lie on my front again. Little things eh?

Hi voodooBanana, Hugs to Koshka and Whitestar, poor little Logan's wee little feet, big kisses.

prettymummified · 22/10/2006 10:38

our household has come under attack by a bug!!! early friday morning dd started throwing up , yesterday junior was throwing up all his milk which is very unusual for him!! dp came home from work and said he was throwing up at work!! late in the evening i started throwing up and this morning too!!!

ive lost count of how many weeks junior is!! he was born on the 17th so how many weeks would that make him??

koshka thinking of you!!{{{hugs}}}

hc- i used to snap at dd all the time after ds was born and find her irritating, but i noticed how she used to look soo sad so made sure i gave her loads of hugs and kisses and when junior is sleeping i give her all my attention!!

id better go and try tidy up a bit, hope everyone has a relaxing sunday

SleepIsForTheDead · 22/10/2006 16:32

Hi all,

Pretty, the bug thing sounds awful! Hope you are all feeling better?

Just a brief message as am mid- house tidying, just having a tea break, and baby having a nap - whew

I couldn't get back to sleep after the early morning feed on Friay and am paying for it, feel like sh*te!

HC, not having much luck with ebay are you? Hope they intervene and get you a refund?

KiwiKat, I e-mailed Faghma last weekend but have not heard back from her yet... I probably went straight into her junk mail box? How u and Max?

KoshkaTheFIENDLYGhost · 22/10/2006 19:30

hello.
7 weeks. took a pill yesterday, and having 4 more tomorrow morning.

i am sad, but i know there is no way in this earth i would cope with 2 under 1.

feel and - but sick not jealous!

whitestar · 22/10/2006 19:44

Hi koshka hope it doesn't make you feel to poorly. Hopefully only nice things will happen to you from now on.

Well I just got back from a&e because dd dropped Logan on his head!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't know what she was doing but turned round to see him landing. He has a good bruise on his head but hospital says just to keep an eye on him. Dh has just gone to pick dd and ds1 up from mum and dads (dad was here doing work on the extension) I just packed some bottles and jump in the car. I am so cross with dd I've told her not to wonder around with the baby but does she listen? No because she's 9 and knows everything

And will it ever stop raining ffs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No talk about not new born anymore!!! It is so bitter sweet. I think 3 months is a much more enjoyable age than newborn which is just up and down. But the whole journey from 1st trimester to 3 months is full of anticipation.
I won't be doing that again
still waiting vasectomy date!

Twirl · 22/10/2006 22:43

Evening all, gosh so much to catch up on! I really sympathise with all of you with toddlers it is just so hard isn't it. My DD deliberately headbutted baby DS today because she didn't want to do what I asked her to do and I was changing DS so therefore he had my attention not her. She is also very much a daddy's girl at the moment and I have to pretty much bribe her to spend anytime with me rather than with DH. I feel so sad about it - I guess I am just not 'fun' anymore to her and I don't know what to do about it. DS still feeding every 2 hours during the day at 16 weeks and is back to waking up 3 times during the night and tanking up in the evening so I guess I should get the baby rice in. I too feel really sad that the newborn stage is over, I gave loads of DS's clothes to charity today and felt very nostalgic (we aren't having anymore either).
Whitestar, lucky you, I cna't get DH to agree to a vasectomy yet, did your DH take much persuasuion?
Quick question for KZ - breastfeeding is going pretty babdly at the moment as I can't keep up with his feeding schedule and he is biting and tugging etc. He is also refusing to take the avent bottle for our 1 formula feed which he has happily been taking for 6 weeks now. Did you say you used the TT closer to Nature bottle and is it any good? Also, do you have any idea when the best time of day is to pump as my poor nips are so sore I want to give them a wee rest! Any advice appreciated!
I have loved seeing all the pix of those gorgeous babies, aren't we blessed!

Twirl · 22/10/2006 23:10

Forgot to say, Whitestar I hope DS is alright.

having said my boobs were fine KZ, they hurt like hell today and have done since last night. Was soo tempted to feed him last night for both our releifs but having made the decision to stop I need to stick to it. Can't tittivate about (geddit?) I also feel a bit sad about it too, BF is so snuggly, and this is propbably our last baby, and he clearly LOVES it so much, but pros (for me) outwiegh the cons, so that is my selfsih decision. Mean old Mummy.

DS1 being a dreamboat, no accidents since middle of last week, although he did puke ALL OVER HIMSELF in my newly valeted car (serves me right eh?) on Friday afternoon, he hasn't been sick for over a year, so that was a bit of a shock!

Hugs Koshka. Thinking of you.

Whitestar, poor Logan, he is going thru the mill! DS1 loves picking Toby up (or trying to anyway) and wants to kiss him all the time, and always needs to know where he is, very sweet, I think they are ging to be very close brothers how yummy.

Great weekend, very busy, lots of visitors and we went out for lunch yesterday with friends and saw other friends Saturday night.

Right, off to feed Toby and then prop him up all suggly warm in the garage while I ride the exercise bike....
