hmmm thats strange cazzy as on my laptop ive got the new layout.....

well had a lovely day today as my 7yrs old SD made Chocolate Crispie Cakes and Tweenie joined in too (both with my help of course!)... she helped me to mixed her bit in a small bowl whilst SD mixed hers in a big bowl, put the paper cases in the cake tray, also tweenie helped me to scrape the crispies (cornflakes) off the big spoon onto the paper cases and stuck a mini egg on top, she was so tempted to eat the eggs as it was so funny but both had left overs stuff and stuffed their faces...as soon i put the cake trays in the fridge Tweenie was not impressed at the slightest as started to have a proper screaming tantrum !! .........she is now fast asleep in bed of course!!.....Sd did very well considering this was her first time she made these cakes and now im off for a bath as off out 2nite - a big niteout - bbbbbbbbbrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!

maisiemog · 16/12/2006 17:06

Hi everyone,
Not long now....
I'm supposed to be doing some late night shopping at the 24 hour Asda just now, but I'm too tired.
Alfie is such a handful at the moment, with his little fangs coming in. He has got ants in his pants and keeps running away from me in shops, it's sooo tiring, forget about actually buying anything. Thank goodness for the Internet.
I took him out today and either he was running away, or wailing, or lying down and collapsing, especially if I put his reins on and dragged him along. Why didn't I put him in his pram.
We have to go out again tomorrow morning, and it's pram all the way.
Everything is a big drama to him as well, if I say he can't have something, especially cakes and sweets, he collapses into a pile of wailing lump. He's like a little Marlon Brando - 'Why are you doing this to me?'
Who is cooking Christmas meal this year? Hands up!

KathH · 24/12/2006 09:01

I'm "doing" Christmas day for 10. Moley is dead excited - helped along by dd2 & ds1. He keeps saying santa toys!

maisiemog · 24/12/2006 21:32

OMG Good luck Kath!
I've got five and Alfie - who has NO IDEA what is going on. Luckily he has no older siblings, so it's not been too expensive for his prezzies.
Apparently this will change.
I'm just researching how to brine my turkey.
Merry Christmas to everyone when it comes and to and allllll the babies. Big kiss. MWAH!

MerryBiglipsmas · 24/12/2006 22:04

happy Xmas everyone xxxx

KathH · 24/12/2006 22:49

MerryBiglipsmas · 24/12/2006 23:28

oh and gud luck 2 u kathh xxx

geogteach · 25/12/2006 20:15

DS2 has had a great christmas family and friends were particularly impressed with the song DS1 has taught him 'Santa claus, santa claus, santa claus is dead, teddy bear teddy bear choped him in the head' (to the tune of jingle bells)

KathH · 29/12/2006 20:34

hope everyone had a good christmas. moley's favourite thing out of his mounds of presents was a pair of thomas the tank engine wellies - he even wears them to bed!

maisiemog · 31/12/2006 00:39

Yay Thomas Doot! (as Alfie calls him). I think everyone played pretty safe with Alfie and bought him either a car thing or a train thing, because they knew he would like it. I was the only person that took a chance with a fluffy animal jigsaw thing and an alphabet abacus thing.
What size wellies did you get Moley - they always seem to be a bit enormous to me.
There is still a present outstanding for Alf and I think he is going to get a brighter bike - similar to a likeabike. Has anyone tried one of these????

MerryBiglipsmas · 31/12/2006 11:36

no ive never heard of them Maisiemog as ill probably get a bike for DD next year...

DDs fave item that she had got iiiissssss.. ELC keyboard with stool and microphone... she lurves howling away and also a little baby in a moses basket that her Great Ninny bought her..she carried it everywhere even to bed under her blanket.

dd also loves her Dalamations wellies too as she will wear it at every opportunity!

Well guys im gonna be taking the sides down off the cotbed as dd is forever climbing out of the bed! so wish me luck.

had anyone had done it yet? and ive also bought a princess cup for dd as its her juice cup as im trying to wean her off the bottles that she drinks out of! plus she is going off on her milk too - great!...money saving!!!

KathH · 31/12/2006 22:11

Happy New Year all!

MerryBiglipsmas · 01/01/2007 11:58

HaPpY nEw YeAr xx

maisiemog · 01/01/2007 16:44

Happy NoooooooooYeeeeeeeeeeeear!
Biglips, good luck with the bed sides.
We co-sleep with Alfie and when he was about 14 months he figured out he could get out of bed....
Now I always have to go to bed and lie down with him until he sleeps, otherwise he gets up again.
DP tells him to go back to bed and he does, but I can't be bothered. Alfie tends to drop-off within ten to fifteen minutes anyway, but if he takes longer I end up falling asleep as well.
I probably need the sleep though
I am finding that Alf is going through a pouring phase. He can drink from a mug or beaker, but suddenly starts pouring the milk/fruitjuice/water into his dinner/shoe/toybox. He still has a couple of lidded beaker things, because they can't be poured so fast and I can stop him.
Still haven't tackled going out nappyless, don't fancy it that much either.
Did anyone do anything other than sleep for New Year?

KathH · 01/01/2007 22:06

Masie - dh was working over Christmas & last nite so did bugger all except watch everyone else on TV have a great time. DH told me tonight he's actually been rota'd to be off next Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & Boxing Day, he's worked the last 4 yrs. Took our tree & decs down today, my fairy lights fused so that decided it for me but house looks v. bare now! Moleys new words for the holidays are "Go Way" which he says to everyone. I'm back at work tomorrow so am panicking at how to get up for 6.30 rather than 9.30 which its been for the last week and a half!

maisiemog · 01/01/2007 22:33

Waaah Kath - I hope the first day back is nice and laid back.
You could always take Moley and put him on your desk and he could tell everyone to 'Go way!'
They're a bit rude those toddlers aren't they?
You must post a photo of Moley so I can see how he is getting on, I remember from a photo in the past that he looked very cute (and looked a bit like Alfie as well).
If I tell Alfie to shoosh he says 'You Shoosh'
Blooming cheek.
DP slept almost all day today and I'm off to bed soon. So tiiiiired! Yawn!
Christmas, flipping tiring or what!?!?

Biglips · 03/01/2007 18:48

2nite is the night!....... the side had come off the cotbed! (gulp!!)

Good luck biglips! Cant quite pluck up the courage to let moley loose in his own bed dds and ds1 were in their own bed by this age but somehow I dont think moley's as trustworthy!

Biglips · 03/01/2007 20:52

kath - my dd is defo not trustworthy at all! but ive gotta do it as she is forever climbing out...

at first she was screaming her head off saying that she wanted it back on (the side) but eventually calmed down and ive been stroking her head for the past half an hour. Ive been out of her room twice so now gotta go back to check on her to make sure everything is fine

She makes her room like WWIII !!! as its a foot deep of blankets, wipes, books all over the place so gotta take them out l8ter...bbbyyyyyeeee
