Spotty i want to go Pumpkin picking today as well.

Nut, bless H i hope shes feeling ok.

I came home from work last night and DP and H were in bed fast asleep. It felt so strange sitting downstairs by myself. H is still asleep now i am Shock On the other hand i am about to have my first full week off since i went back to work after my maternity leave ended in July 2013 Grin I am so happy.

FrazzledFandangenstein · 26/10/2014 07:52

J went back to sleep for 2 hours after just over an hour so at least I can function.

I always used to just throw a towel over sick patches in the middle of the night nutella. It's only now that there tends to be gallons of sick that I have to clean up!

PurplePidjin · 26/10/2014 08:27

he likes it. he's running round pantless shouting awooooooo Grin

Love it Pidj

I'm being very restrained and not killing DH. I suggested copying all my photos & videos from my phone onto the pc before wiping it. No need, he said, I've copied it all onto the SD card. Had he f*. All the pictures of DD's first day at school that I hadn't sent him? Gone. All the video of her horse riding last week? Gone. Everything from about the last 6 months.

Then a discussion last night because my dad is thinking of getting either a cottage or log cabin or static caravan that we could all use for free holidays. A good thing? No, apparently it's a huge weight of responsibility actually having to have a family holiday. I mean, the fact that the most we've done since having children is stay with his sister for a week (which makes him feel as though we're imposing even though we were invited) and that DD would love to have a week near a beach? No, it involves my family so he's being a whiny twat.

Another day of DD being overexcited. A birthday party for someone she was friends with at nursery- good job I could remember the address and details after it was wiped from my phone! And A is throwing himself at us, giggling. And trying to put everyone's shoes on. He climbed into our bed this morning, said milk and helped himself.

Enjoy the pumpkin picking.

WLmum · 26/10/2014 09:11

nuts that is the correct way to deal with sick in the bed in the middle of the night. T was so refluxy I spend many a night in sicky pjs and sheets too exhausted to care.
beasty sounds like you're being amazingly restrained - I'd have lost the plot! I meant to say good for you too for carrying on bfing regardless of dhs view - so much of what we do with our breasts is driven by men, it's great that you are making the decision that is right for you. I think bfing definitely does affect dhs desire for my boobs and my sex drive generally (as nature intended I guess) so not much action here but I figure its a stage that will pass soon enough and then we can invest some energy in us again. Luckily DH seems to feel the same.

WLmum · 26/10/2014 09:14

The boob project I took part in is going to be published as a book. Check out the 'bare reality' website if you want to see the aims and drives of the project.

halestone · 26/10/2014 18:57

We never went pumpkin picking in the end we ended up at a car boot sale. It was rubbish.

BeastyThanks wow i agree you also sound very restrained i would be sulking big time with DP for just losing the photos/videos.

WL that sounds so exciting. Grin

WLmum · 26/10/2014 20:54

Dd1 has got 2 friends over for their first ever sleep over - no sign of impending sleep!

Looks (sounds) like they are finally asleep! Oh the joys of being 7! Bless em.

Barbeasty · 27/10/2014 08:10

Hope you got some sleep WL

To be fair to DH, it isn't his fault my phone got infected. I'm more annoyed by his attitude towards my family, but I'm used to that by now.

I'd forgotten the clocks went back, and merrily did our roast dinner for 6.15 yesterday. Completely forgetting that the DC would normally be in bed by then (the old 7.15!)

MIL is taking both DC on the train to see their cousins. She's a brave woman! The tentative plan is that they'll be on my train home so I can drive them all back. We'll see...

utopian99 · 27/10/2014 08:51

Hi everyone, sorry for being awol! Can't remember who asked but yes, we're next baby I think - due 18th Nov. Exciting and also terrifying. Major bh last night, probably sparked by a hen do this weekend where I had a lovely time but little sleep and a lot of walking/dancing; worth it though.
It was the first time dh has had O for two nights in a row, but he took him to his parents which is nice for all of them, and then met up with a friend of ours and his dd (3 months younger than O,) to go to a safari park which looked like great fun!

Sorry for forgetting individual people - on my phone which always makes things difficult..

PurplePidjin · 27/10/2014 11:40

Hope they had fun WL :o

We kept the routine at the same clock time beasty and in fact used it to move bedtime a bit later, he's been going at 5-5:15 for a while which is a bit early now he's sleeping 12 hours. He still slept 12 hours but 6-6 which is a little more reasonable Brew

Hi utopian fingers crossed for a nice prompt, safe arrival Thanks

Took R for a wander round a local town this morning. I know it a bit, he's been a few times but never used a toilet or changed a nappy except at one supermarket (the one you get free coffee in!). Asked him several times if he needed a wee, No. On the way back to the car he pointed at the public loos and said Wee Wee. Got him in, he did his wee on the toilet Shock I'm flabberghasted!!

It's almost November why are we outside in t-shirts?!

MrsNutsandBolts · 27/10/2014 16:09

spotty glorious, don't knock it! If only you could bank a bit of sunshine for when you need a boost in the depths of winter...

Utopian not long left! Great that you had a good weekend. My last few weeks I felt so rubbish with twinges of spd I didn't go anywhere or do anything... It was a bit boring - I'm jealous Smile

Wl I hope you all survived the sleepover.

DS woke early today, I'm not sure if it was the time change that caused it though. He had done a poo which is really not like him. He has a really sore bottom at the moment too bless him.

WLmum · 27/10/2014 16:42

pidj sounds like he's nailed it!
Absolutely beautiful day - dds are exhausted but I forced them all out for a wee walk to feed the ducks, everyone felt so much better for it. T walked/scooted all the way there, and half the way back when I put her in the ergo and she immediately fell asleep. It was lush.

PurplePidjin · 27/10/2014 18:21

Sssshhh Spotty don't remind the weather HmmWink

MrsNut try lots of nappy-free time with a potty handy :o You never know what it'll lead to!

2nd dry day in a row today, and this afternoon included an hour with my parents while I ran some errands - including getting a Ridgeback mountain bike for him from the tip for £3! Needs a clean and some stabilisers but that's Christmas sorted :)

PurplePidjin · 27/10/2014 18:25

Ooh just googled and not only is it current stock, it retails for £129.99 Shock one person's trash truly is another person's treasure!

MaMaPo · 27/10/2014 20:07

Pidj, I'm impressed with R! As the weather improves here we'll do loads of nappy off time, but I don't think c is close to ready. Weeing takes her by surprise so she's not able to anticipate it yet. She'll get there.

WL that sounds lovely.

Swimming lesson this morning with the most annoying judgy smugparent I've ever come across. Angry

PurplePidjin · 27/10/2014 21:05

I didn't think R was till I took him out of nappies in the house to sort that rash out. If you're worried about temperature, I've had him in babylegs and socks indoors now it's getting chillier then get dressed ready to go out. They're about £2 on ebay and well worth investing in a pair or two and I can use them when trying to snipe at Mrs Smug Courseleader at the Children's Centre

OP posts:
WLmum · 27/10/2014 21:16

pidj that's awesome! Wish we had a tip like that.
mama I don't think T is anywhere ready either - I'm not sure if weeing takes her by surprise or she just doesn't care! V different to dd1 who was early out of nappies and def did care - a bit too much bless her.

halestone · 28/10/2014 09:09

Wow Pidj what a bargain.

Utopian, i think your brilliant going on a hen do as well. I can't believe how quickly your pregnancy has flown.

H always uses the toilet of a day now. We only put her nappy on when we go out as i don't think she would wait if we were out. Although she will wait if DN is on the toilet. She will only poo in her nappy though. She asks us to put a nappy on and shouts don't touch me i'm pushing whilst doing it thoughHmm She has had quite a few dry nights recently and has had a wee on the toilet when she wakes up. Last night however she did the biggest wee ever, it came out of her nappy, and drenched her nighty/bedding/pillow. She was quite upset.

PurplePidjin · 28/10/2014 12:28

Yeah, R only poos in a nappy but then he generally only poos first thing in the morning and occasionally when he wakes from his nap. So that's not something I'll need to tackle for a while I think! Morning nappies tend to be drenched, but wool is hard to leak out of so I haven't had one go over capacity... Yet...

OP posts:
MaMaPo · 28/10/2014 12:58

Midnight here and I'm sat next to C's cot as she has woken twice so far, crying and shouting No! Very unusual and she sounds quite distressed. What's going on? Answers on a postcard please.

PurplePidjin · 28/10/2014 13:04

Overtired, teething, coming down with something, too hot, too cold, there's an R in the month, the day ends in Y, erm...

R gets wakey when the season changes - October and April seem to be tricky, think it's the sound of heavy rain on the roof plus a change in temperature?
