I'd definitely say between £5 & £10. If your DP reckons a fiver then I'd make that your minimum. Smile

WLmum · 24/10/2014 22:30

spotty bet disney on ice will be amazing. Disney isn't usually cup of tea but there's just something about it being on ice! My dds would love it. There's a on ice production every year at the spectrum so might check that out in a couple of years. My mum has got us all panto tickets this yr as our pressie - will be first time the dds have been to an actual panto and it's king Justin fletcher too.

ddas · 24/10/2014 23:11

We looked at that one in Woking too! Looks great.

halestone · 24/10/2014 23:28

mama i would love to be somewhere warm right now.

Beasty, i hope you have a good sleep tonight.

WL poor T, Thanks i hope she is ok now.

Spotty we were talking about taking H to Disney on Ice but don't think she would keep still for long enough.

I'm loving reading this thread at the minute there just feels like theres loads of us back together and i like it.

H decided to throw her soup in the air tonight whilst shouting its raining. We had to explain that you can't make the soup rain. And then she took brought my dad upstairs whilst i was running her bath and found a hair from my head gave it too my dad and said 'look from mums bum'Blush Hmm Well that was embarrassing and my dad was hysterical.

SpottyTeacakes · 25/10/2014 00:07

Dd's going to panto with the school but in Guildford. Think it's Snow White?

Ds woke earlier and I can't get back to sleep. Again.

FrazzledFandangenstein · 25/10/2014 00:31

Massive molar on the break through here. Just made a mad midnight dash to Asda from ibuprofen and Calpol. Will never make the mistake of running out of either again. Poor mite is in agony. Ive even give him antihistamine to knock him out but he keeps waking up screaming.

Heehee Hales has a hairy bum!

halestone · 25/10/2014 01:01

awww Frazzled bless him i hope hes feeling better tomorrow.

And haha my bum is normally hairless but i didn't shave this week due to AF and H has obviously spotted them and decided share this information with everyone.

She stayed at my mums last night and my mum said she read her a story then sang a nursery rhyme then told her it was bedtime. Apparently mum then went on to ignore H who decided that she wouldn't be ignored so squeezed my mums boobs whilst saying honk honk. My mum fell apart laughing but also trumped at the same time, which she said H thought was hilarious and H kept repeating nanny laughed and trumped.

MaMaPo · 25/10/2014 03:55

Hales, H sounds so funny. C is a funny girl but I don't think she quite gets the humour in naughty words or parts of the body yet. She does find my bra interesting (I think it feels quite soft and squidgy) so she does sometimes put her hand down my top and shout BRA in public. Little weirdo. I wonder if she remembers breastfeeding - it's been about 6 months since we stopped.

Ouch frazzled. I have been keeping an eye out for molars and C is dribbling loads but still no sign. She doesn't seem too bothered but does occasionally stick her fingers into the back of her mouth.

We had lunch out at a Vietnamese place today (we live v close to a big Viet area, which means loads of lovely food). C loves chopsticks, she's desperate to use them. Ate loads of squid and then decided to munch on a whole branch of mint.

They look great Pidj! I agree that £10 wouldn't be unreasonable. Maybe £8.99? People can fool themselves that it's just over £5!

Another nice day here and the bees are buzzing round the lavender and the lemon tree is in bloom. Sorry everyone. Grin

WLmum · 25/10/2014 06:32

Sounds amazing mama I'm looking out at a pitch black morning whilst trying to keep T off my boobs. I think I will be bfing til she's 5! I already fed her upstairs so she's not being deprived.

Barbeasty · 25/10/2014 06:57

Ha WLmum A has just climbed onto my lap and got himself into position.

MaMaPo · 25/10/2014 08:32

But that sounds nice too, WL and Beasty! To be honest if I didn't have to wean C for our trip to Europe in May I probably wouldn't have stopped so early (not that 17m is really early!). I enjoyed it.

WLmum · 25/10/2014 11:28

mama I have really mixed feelings about it - we stopped for a few weeks in the summer as bfing was interfering with her eating and sleeping, and I really enjoyed the 'freedom'. Unfortunately she then got scarlet fever and wouldn't eat it drink and just cried for boobs so we started up again. I love that it is such a comfort to her and obviously the health benefits for us both but it does keep us in quite an exclusive relationship!

MaMaPo · 25/10/2014 12:30

You're right WL, I definitely have rose tinted glasses about it too. I definitely enjoy the freedom of not bfing, so I should be thankful for that. It's such a great thing you were able to feed during that bout of illness, doubtless the best thing you could do.

It's weird the mixed feelings I have about the little ones growing up and becoming independent. On the one hand I miss the closeness but I do relish the freedom. A friend of mine (who I haven't seen much of for a couple of years) told me that her highly-strung almost-4yo is still cosleeping (while their much sunnier 18mo is happily in his own room) . I think I would find that quite difficult, but I hope it's working for them.

SpottyTeacakes · 25/10/2014 18:48

Home after twelve hours out of the house, half of those in the car! The dc loved disney on ice and were so well behaved. Ds only started acting up the last fifteen minutes. He was so excited clapping, dancing and squealing!

Barbeasty · 25/10/2014 19:07

Excellent Spotty.

MaMaPo I don't mind feeding. I'd like him to go a bit longer- DD fed until a bit over 2. DH doesn't like it, but it isn't up to him! It's just that after 2 weeks I start thinking he's stopped, then he manoeuvres his way in again.

I've been without Internet today, because my phone downloaded some dodgy app without my permission that has all sorts of viruses. Had to do a factory reset, so I've lost my bookmarks and my auto correct has forgotten all your names and the acronyms like DD and DH! Really annoying to have to pay attention to what I'm typing.

MrsNutsandBolts · 25/10/2014 19:12

all those who have kept up breastfeeding for so long I am really impressed. Although I know I couldn't do it myself. I BF DS for about 9 months. I'll be happy to make it to six with DD and then see how I feel.

I do enjoy watching DD change and grow but I wish I could figure out how to get her to sleep better during the day. She is so hard to get to sleep.

This morning I waited until she was sleeping again before I went for a shower. She was awake when I got back. I finished getting ready and put her in the wrap to go and meet DH she spent pretty much a a whole hour screaming. eventually she fed again and then slept three hours in the wrap. Then after dinner and another feed she was screaming again. I'm now in bed trying to feed her to sleep.

SpottyTeacakes · 25/10/2014 19:26

Oh Nutella sorry you're having a hard time. Ds used to feed, scream, sleep, scream, feed etc. I felt like he was always crying. It stopped once I weaned him (along with the two hourly feeds). I think had I ff him he would have been more settled (I know that probably won't be a popular opinion if I had to do it all again I would still bf him for sure).

MrsNutsandBolts · 25/10/2014 21:28

Fortunately bed is one place she does like to be - well my bed anywaySmile I think I perhaps need to put something that smells like me in her bed.
She fed to sleep and I got an hour with DH. Ok, we watched Dr who so it wasn't the most productive hour; but it's a start!

PurplePidjin · 25/10/2014 22:53

sounds immensely productive nut Grin

i made r a wolf hood. the pattern id ears an fur. mine has orange button eyes and big fangs Hmm hope he likes it!

OP posts:
WLmum · 25/10/2014 23:32

Cute pidj!
nut at this stage that sounds exactly what you need. T was the same and I could not get her to sleep anywhere but in bed with me until at least 6 weeks then she gradually started spending more of the night in her basket then cot.

FrazzledFandangenstein · 26/10/2014 04:31

Noooooo! Please let him go back to sleep!

MrsNutsandBolts · 26/10/2014 05:52

For some reason DD decided that she wasn't tired. So we spent some time in the middle of the night awake & then she sicked on me and the bed and we could all go back to sleep. Great!
Fortunately it wasn't a huge amount. I was so tired I just went back to sleep Confused

MrsNutsandBolts · 26/10/2014 05:53

But of course I wiped up what I could and put a dry muslin over where it was wet.

SpottyTeacakes · 26/10/2014 06:39

Ds slept until 6:30! Dd on the other hand...

SpottyTeacakes · 26/10/2014 07:06

We're going pumpkin picking todaySmile
