We had a bitch of a settling session with LO tonight. She saw I was heating up the oven for our dinner (they were hungry at 5 so ate then). Insisted on staying up and eating with us.

Went down at half past 10! A record!

Lily311 · 14/09/2014 02:43

I love our zoo pass. So does O. I dropped her off at my parents yesterday as I'm running the half marathon this morning. But instead of resting I ended up running around with the car as the two back doors don't open. Electrical fault, I'm sensing it will cost me a lot.

PetiteRaleuse · 14/09/2014 07:20

Good luck Lily

Elizadoesdolittle · 14/09/2014 09:10

Good luck lily

Zamboni · 14/09/2014 10:09

Good luck Lily Smile

We had a wedding reception last night and I have a hangover. Car handbrake appears to be buggered so DH has taken DD to the garage while S has a nap and I MN sort holiday pics.

Wandathewindfairy · 14/09/2014 13:28

Happy Sundays.

Quickly trying to brown beef for stew before vegan sil pops I Hmm ( is that the hmm face? )

Wandathewindfairy · 14/09/2014 14:24

Ah yes, look the Hmm face.

Lily311 · 14/09/2014 16:10

Done it. Smashed my pb. I'm dead now.

PetiteRaleuse · 14/09/2014 16:43

Well done x

Wandathewindfairy · 14/09/2014 17:27

Great job lily now could you smash mine!

Lily311 · 14/09/2014 17:50

I don't think so wanda . Enough of half marathons for this year. Doing a 6k charity run in 2 weeks and a 10k in October. I don't even like running.

BigPigLittlePig · 14/09/2014 18:01

Well done Lily.

After the biggest tantrum EVER F is having porridge for tea. Soon to be followed by vegan banana bread that smells immense.

She isn't right, this week has been weird. Something is bothering her and I cannot put my finger on it. Hmm.

Passmethecrisps · 14/09/2014 21:22

Good work lily. Very impressive indeed.

Poor little pig bp. Wonder what is up with her?

Inspired by yw we headed out to the castle today. Less cerebral than the Bear, p announced that this was "Ben and Holly's house!" The highlight of her visit was a little one seater car thing which she referred to as a bus. She disappeared behind it and was astonished to find that the door opened when she tugged it. I was told this story numerous times.

She has also been a bit tantrumy - throwing things and getting past herself with tears. She pushed a chair over which had clean laundry on. When I told her off she wept and wept. Then some time later she announced "naughty menny. chair. Menny push chair. " and cried some more. I rarely raise my voice but I did today as she had been warned and clearly heard me but carried on. She was torn between upset and shock and fury.

Thankfully she went to bed without argument.

PetiteRaleuse · 14/09/2014 21:37

LO has decided that she needs a fourth meal. On top of her three usual meals plus mid morning and afternoon snacks. Growth spurt at almost 2?

Jims · 14/09/2014 21:50

I have a video of ds1 running up and down the big hall in Stirling castle from when i visited my friend just before ds2 was born. He loved it there. It was a daft thing to do as i had to travel back on the train heavily pregnant with a toddler. But the actual visit was fab. Smile. I'd love to go up again but it is a bit of a long way with two small people. We went up on the sleeper train last time but the chances of getting a cheap deal in school hols is probably a lot less.

In other news, F has definitely discovered the 'mine' phase. This applies to all toys in our house. Ds1 didn't really suffer from that so much, F is making up for that with a vengeance!

bplp i tried your banana pancake things out on the boys as post-party teatime snack. Sadly they were not v successful, although i thought they were ok.

We've had a reasonably quiet weekend as castle building recommenced in the garden. I'll post a pic on facebook when it's finished- we're still a panel down.

Ds1 started school this week. He was v brave and went in without a backwards glance so I was v proud. Think he may get a shock this week though when it's full days all week!

I'm going to have an odd week waiting for the consultant's appointment on friday to hear the results of my MRI for the suspected transverse myelitis. I think the most frustrating thing is not really knowing when my symptoms will resolve. But, am also v grateful that i didn't have the acute version. I haven't whinged very much about it so far but had a minor bad day on thursday as the cleaner i'd treated myself to, as i'm not really fit to keep up with housework, didn't turn up.

Apologies for not remembering other stuff from the thread, can only see 2 posts back as i type...

GTbaby · 14/09/2014 23:40

Oh no jims. Cleaner not turning up would have infuriated me.

Run Lily run. What a great achievement.

Pr I was wondering same about H today. Although it's not making him any less picky. He just wants to eat weetabix in As walker.

PetiteRaleuse · 15/09/2014 07:56

Another Monday morning quiche. They seem to come round so quickly now.

Elizadoesdolittle · 15/09/2014 08:13

uck tell me about it. And I've had a shock. I thought DD1 stayed for lunch at school this week but it isn't till next week which means full school hours aren't for another week. Arrrgggggh.

PetiteRaleuse · 15/09/2014 12:33

Quiet today. Did anyone else have trouble with the mobile site this morning?

Lily311 · 15/09/2014 12:39

eliza that would piss me off Blush.

I don't log in through the mobile site. Nursery was bumpy, she cried and when she saw me at lunch time she giggled than straight went into crying. Was so cute though.

I am a bit sore today Blush. It might as well as it's raining all day so I don't need to go out to the playground.

Wandathewindfairy · 15/09/2014 16:55

I have just done something terrible. Something I really really regret. And I can't change it now. Is done.

Blush
PetiteRaleuse · 15/09/2014 17:02

Do you want to tell us about it wanda ? Whatever it is it is done so you have to deal with the consequences. Which might not be as awful as you think.

Elizadoesdolittle · 15/09/2014 17:32

wanda Sad want to fb it? I know that feeling all too well and (most) times it isn't nearly as bad in reality as it is in your head. It's a horrible feeling. hugs x

Well it was a bit of a struggle but finally got the dr to agree to a referral for E to see a ear nose and throat specialist. She seems to think its too many cooks etc etc and like starting from scratch whereas I see it as the consultants managing her have no idea what the issue is and further investigation is required. If no light is shed at least I'll know every avenue has been explored.

PetiteRaleuse · 15/09/2014 17:39

Well done eliza

Wandathewindfairy · 15/09/2014 18:11

Good job eliza

Well.

I made a delicious veg lasagna, butternut squash, spinach, a cherry tomato sauce, white sauce, pasta sheets (obviosuly ) lush. Anyways I though, what would go really nicely with it would be a baguette. But I was good I just brought a half one.

The lasagna needed 40 mins in oven and I had to guard it because of the devil child O. So I was stood there and I thought I would just have the notch off the baguette.

Maybe another bit.

That was nice, maybe I should just have one more.........etc etc etc.

Till I saved 5 small, I mean small, slithers for the boys.

DH won't be in till 19:30 so will never know the baguette even existed.

So Blush
