I am thankful for my in laws who dropped in some cake for me on their way past.

miss I can't see a link.

chasing Sorry to hear of your woes. Money worries really are the worst. I've been there. I hope it gets sorted.

Lily311 · 11/09/2014 11:37

I'm thankful for nursery. Even if the kids bite her.
Also thankful for my friends, old and new.

She had a tear free day at nursery. Yey

PetiteRaleuse · 11/09/2014 12:45

That's great Lily

StuntNun · 11/09/2014 14:08

J went through a horrendous sleep time a few weeks ago which happened to coincide with him going from hardly any speech to three-word sentences within a couple of weeks. Now he's talking his sleep is back to normal. I let him nap for as long as he wants during the day but I do try to make sure it's earlier rather than later. He dropped off at 11:15 this morning so I was quite happy to leave him to sleep for a couple of hours. If he were going to sleep after the school run at 3 then it might be different.

chasing I know what you mean about good sleep in the day = good sleep at night. stunt has a point about developmental changes actually. When there is a lot of stuff going on in head it figures the sleep can be a bit mucked up. I hope the £ issues get sorted out soon. Xx

Good news lily it must be a relief.

I am not particularly thankful that O has worked out how to attached the hose to the tap, and now DS1 has gone over there to join in with the project. I am not feeling too safe............

Elizadoesdolittle · 11/09/2014 17:48

E has started to say in a minute whenever I ask her to do something. It's cute and infuriating at the same time.

PetiteRaleuse · 11/09/2014 18:23

Aaarrggh. Am not a joiner inner.

So how the fuck was my hand shooting up when the headteacher said "any volunteers to run the school library?" And "who wants to join the PTA?"

It was uncontrollable.

Fortunately I managed to slap myself down before volunteering to be class rep among the governors.

Aaarrrgggh.

Lily311 · 11/09/2014 18:33

pr proud of you Grin

Wandathewindfairy · 11/09/2014 19:13

Running the library sounds a dream iyam.

Elizadoesdolittle · 11/09/2014 19:17

Haha pr. I'm sure you'll do a brilliant job.

PetiteRaleuse · 11/09/2014 19:48

I can't imagine the library is v exciting. It is books for 60 odd kids aged 2-6. Apparently I will have to do it on Monday mornings.

GTbaby · 11/09/2014 20:42

Pr well done. Very brave.

Lily that's great. I remember the relief when H didn't cry the second he saw me at nursery pick up.

Miss L thanks but I need to let it go. And once I start I won't stop.

Chasing hope appeal goes well.

GTbaby · 11/09/2014 20:48

I am thankful I left my work at school today so won't have another 11pm finish to my work.

I'm thankful that mil watched A while I got their dinner ready.

I'm thankful that pil have gone out for evening so I have some alone time.

Elizadoesdolittle · 11/09/2014 21:17

I am thankful that DH has gone away for the weekend. I have just spent far too much on birthday and christmas presents. Of course I think they're bargains, DH is likely to think differently. Supposed to be getting a new car soon. Must put the credit card away!

Passmethecrisps · 11/09/2014 21:24

Evening all.

Glad your day worked out ok gt

I ended up staying at home today as I woke up in a lot of pain. It eased throughout the day then came back on with vengeance again at tea time. Currently I am sitting dosed on various drugs with a microwave warmer pad draped on my neck. Bums

Wandathewindfairy · 11/09/2014 21:56

I just ordered some brogues and I am really excited. I keep looking at the order confirmation!

I hope it eases up soon pass are you off to the gp tomorrow again?

Glad you got so e me time gt

What will you actually have to do pr

How's it hanging qm?

So O also worked out how to get out of his sleeping bag, I just think is the particular one he is in at the mo. Every time I came upstairs he was standing in his cot in his pjs grinning at me, wide eyed. I wish I had done a photo. But instead I just got the toddler bed duvet out, and the pillow and tucked him in. He seems quite warm with a pillow though but I think duvet and not a pillow is weird. So I have just pulled the duvet down so his upper back is exposed. He went straight to sleep though.

Passmethecrisps · 11/09/2014 22:36

Linky brogues please!!

I have a telephone consultation for tomorrow which the doc booked yesterday saying she might need to see me again in the afternoon. I need to go to work so fingers crossed for miraculous recovery!

YellowWellies · 11/09/2014 22:59

I'm thankful that today I finished one of my two big projects, that my boss is a daddy of two wee ones (aged 2 and 4) so is utterly supportive of a fat preggers employee, that I haz lovely new winter boots attention Indian summer bugger off I want to wear them, that I'm getting scanned every week so get to see bub regularly, that Jonas adores his new CM and hasn't had one tearful drop-off since we moved him from nursery and that DH and I made it out to a naice restaurant for a candlelit dinner together last night.

PetiteRaleuse · 11/09/2014 23:01

What will I have to do? Hand out books to tiny children and keep a record I guess.

And on the PTA? Dunno. But it will involve helping organise the St Nicholas and Father Christmas events (separate here). I hope I get the role of photographer

Wandathewindfairy · 12/09/2014 07:46

BROUGUES. Here you are pass there are some really expensive ones about so I ended up going for what I thought was a middling price. I thought they would be good with autumn dresses actually and a change with skinny jeans. I need some new winter boots like yw but can't decided whether to go the smart route or the cas route.

O seemed to sleep really well with his duvet and didn't just whinge when he woke up this morning. Don't know if this is coincidence or because of the duve.

Elizadoesdolittle · 12/09/2014 07:58

yw how is bubs doing? Are they still the right way round?

Oh you lot. I don't want winter. The thought of dark mornings and dark nights makes me grrrr. The cold I can handle but I need light. And winter means birthdays/Christmas and new baby and i'm just not ready.

Wandathewindfairy · 12/09/2014 08:16

eliza how many weeks are you now? Aren't you excited? Winter is ace. Tucking in, massive jumpers, cosy cardies. Grin get out in the fresh air as much as you can in the days to see you through the dark evening and maybe think of some winter evening treats to keep your pecker up!!

Lily311 · 12/09/2014 09:54

I sorted out all the paper works today, all the filing and organising. Haven't had time for this for over a year.

So what is everyone getting for their kids for Xmas and birthday? Also can you help me with some ideas for an 8yr old girl, 7 yr old girl, 5 yr old boy.

O is getting duplo for her bday. I also bought a doll's house but I might just keep it for another year. And I have tons of books to give her.

Zamboni · 12/09/2014 10:24

That would make me Grin Lily! Love a bit of filing and sorting weirdo

For the elder girl - loom bands? DSD is obsessed.

DC at nursery, S went to bed delightfully yesterday so who knows? Am in town pottering on my own, such a luxury! Getting some of my sister's fav travelling pics printed to make her some bunting for her hen do at the end of the month. Love the idea of being crafty but my execution is not great - am hoping the thought will count more than the finish!!

Elizadoesdolittle · 12/09/2014 11:12

wanda don't get me wrong. I love winter. I love birthdays, Christmas and generally I love newborns. But at the moment the countdown to Christmas which is everywhere, is just serving as a reminder about the baby and I have so much to do. I'm 24 weeks today. It's awful but I don't feel excited. Mainly panicked! But I'm sure I'll get there :-)

lily For her birthday E is getting the ninky nonk musical activity train, sticklebricks and the playmobil farm set. My Disis is getting her the toot toot train to go with her toot toot garage which she loves. And it seems like it will be a frozen themed Christmas. DD1 and E will be getting frozen dolls and dressing up stuff. DD1 is frozen obsessed which means E is picking it up. She's not quite as good as O at singing let it go but she's getting there. Damn song drives me insane!
