New thread!

Dd never bit, but I have a feeling A might. He's only got bottom teeth so far so not too bad but because he's a bit tongue tied he doesn't always cover his bottom teeth so I'm not sure it's deliberate.

Jealous of wine but can't risk a glass in case A ends up in our bed.

beccajoh · 10/10/2014 21:11

BLATENT BRAG ALERT!

I have a child-free weekend and dh and I are off to a spa hotel. Dropped the kids off at my parents this afternoon so they can deal with Archie starting his day at 4.45am. Little bastard tike.

Sorry to hear of all the sleep woes. Things aren't brilliant here either, but not as bad as some of you have described.

Ohh, have fun becca. Very jealous!

L has two bottom teeth and BFing has only hurt a few times, when she's been really tired and accidently had a little nibble! Hoping the top teeth won't make it worse.

MrsGSR · 10/10/2014 23:00

I'm so impatient, DH hoped to be home between 10 and midnight so I'm sat staring out the window! His phone died (probably from playing games during the layover) so I have no idea if he'll be later. Time is going so slowly!

Naturegirl82 · 11/10/2014 13:57

Hope he got back in good time for you mrsg

Have fun becca

O slept all night in her cot, Yay. Still woke up 3 times but at least I managed to settle her back down. Smile

BookTart · 11/10/2014 14:18

Well done O!

P was up screaming all night. No idea what it was, maybe trapped wind? DH had to take her downstairs so I could sleep for an hour, and we are all zombies today. Terrified about tonight already.

pumpkinsweetie · 11/10/2014 14:47

Well jel Becca sounds like heavenSmile
Well done O !Smile

Baby pumpkin was also screaming most of the night too booktart must be something in the air or tooth number 4 trying to cut through??

Baby pumpkin has yet another cold, think its the sudden turn in the weather.
Went out and got her all new 9-12 month clothing yesterday as I cannot see her tootsies trying to break through her sleepsuits any longerGrin she has only just reached 9m too, lil chub bless her Smile

Naturegirl82 · 11/10/2014 16:51

pumpkin O has been in 9-12 month clothes for ages and she is only 8.5 months! Haha! I'm blaming it on her nappies! Smile

FelixFelix · 11/10/2014 17:24

Becca sounds amazing, hope you enjoy it.
Well done O Grin

Gettingthroughthis · 11/10/2014 19:04

the only time we went to ikea in a van we smashed loads of glasses we'd bought before we were out the car park!

Ooh becca that sounds amazing!

book I hate days when you dread the night. And the nights when you can't wait for the morning

Not bragging but h slept through again 6.30-7 Smile I've done nothing different so it just proves they will sleep when they want to so we can stop second guessing ourselves. Even if it doesn't last im relieved to know he can do it

Naturegirl82 · 11/10/2014 19:11

Brag away getting, well done H Smile

BookTart · 11/10/2014 19:28

Good work H! I bet you feel like Superwoman today getting!

TobyLerone · 11/10/2014 19:50

That's great, getting. Trust me, if M slept anything like that, even once, my bragging would know no bounds. I'd be stopping people in Sainsbury's to tell them. Maybe taking out an ad in the paper :o

We tried to buy the Britax Dualfix today but stupid Mothercare only had it in black and we want purple. They did have the Cybex Sirona in too, so we could do a proper comparison and it cemented our feeling to go for the Britax. So we'll have to try Kiddicare or another Mothercare while we're at IKEA tomorrow.

Naturegirl82 · 11/10/2014 20:37

toby are both of those rear facing switching to forward facing? I need to find a rearward facing car seat that uses a seat belt to attach for in - laws.

FelixFelix · 11/10/2014 20:41

Getting that's awesome Smile

TobyLerone · 11/10/2014 20:42

They're rearfacing until 4ish, but can also be forwardfacing. They swivel, so you don't have to take the seat out to turn it round. AFAIK they're ISOFIX only. The Britax definitely is. Don't your ILs have ISOFIX brackets in their car?

Gettingthroughthis · 11/10/2014 20:46

nature the Britax first class plus (I think that's what its called) faces both ways and uses a seatbelt. Although most cars now are isofix so I'd double check

TobyLerone · 11/10/2014 20:50

A bit of research shows me that you'll struggle to get an ERF seat without ISOFIX fitting. I suppose this is because both ERF and ISOFIX are the new safety standards.

TobyLerone · 11/10/2014 20:51

The Britax First Class is only RF til 15ish months, IIRC.

Naturegirl82 · 11/10/2014 20:59

I've found a few but it's all quite confusing . We have isofix in both our cars but the inlaws don't annoyingly (even though their car is a 10 plate so not exactly old!), so we will be buying different car seats for us and them.

TobyLerone · 11/10/2014 21:14

That's weird. I thought all cars for the last however many years had ISOFIX. Apparently it can be retrofitted, and not too expensively, bit you/they might not want to go to the faff :)

Naturegirl82 · 11/10/2014 21:35

I was suprised as well, but apparently it would have been fitted for free at the point of order, but they bought it as a 1 year old car and it hadn't been requested.

Angelesque · 11/10/2014 21:35

Evening ladies!

Re: bf and teeth... F has eight teeth now and I'm still BFing morning and night. Had a few nips at the start (it bled the first time :( ) but since then it's been absolutely fine.

Off to Center Parcs tomorrow... Have never needed a holiday so much. Being back at work sucks!!

TarkaTheOtter · 12/10/2014 10:00

Dd was rear facing in the britax first class plus to 18m and is no shortie.
The previous owner of my old ford focus (56 plates) had decided against having isofix fitted as a free extra. All the holes for it were there though and we were able to get the parts for £15 and fit it ourselves.

Ikea Dublin did not have Christmas stuff in Angry. Still managed to spend €100 more than planned. They have some nice new stuff in.

FelixFelix · 12/10/2014 10:15

Tarka why wouldn't they get it if it was free?! Very odd. We have an old Peugeot 206 without Isofix so don't think ERF is an option for us now. I was going to look in to it as someone said the other day we should have room in the back as I wasn't sure we would have. May have to suggest to DP that we really should get a new car Grin

What did you get from ikea? We live 15 mins away from the Leeds one and I love going for a wander round but end up spending loads every time Shock
