Naturegirl82 · 23/09/2014 13:11

becca I'm really sorry to hear that. I hadn't realised that you were that unwell.

MrsGSR · 23/09/2014 14:06

I hadn't realised either becca Flowers I hope you recover quickly from the surgery

FelixFelix · 23/09/2014 15:03

Becca I'm sorry Sad your oncologist sounds very positive which can only be a good thing. I hope you didn't mind me asking!

TobyLerone · 23/09/2014 17:04

Another one who hadn't realised how unwell you are, becca. I'm sorry to hear that but it's good that your oncologist has positive things to say Flowers

pumpkinsweetie · 23/09/2014 19:21

Thanks Becca hope things become more positive for you. Thinking of you, sorry to hear you are so unwell xxx

Swannykazoo · 23/09/2014 19:30

Bloody hell Becca - Wine or Flowers or [tea] or whatever helps.

Book and MrsG -cheers for that. Realising I'm not the only one stuck under a sleeping baby in the evenings is a bit of a relief.

BookTart · 23/09/2014 20:19

becca I hadn't realised. I'm so pleased your oncologist is positive and forward thinking, it makes such a difference Thanks

AnotherStitchInTime · 23/09/2014 21:41

Becca I too had no idea that you were dealing with such a massive life changing illness. So glad to hear that there are more treatment options to explore. If there is anything we can do to support you please let us know

AMillionNameChangesLater · 24/09/2014 06:10

Becca I had no idea. More support from me if you would like it xx

Naturegirl82 · 25/09/2014 11:58

Just seen my endocrinologist who said you should have lost the baby weight by 6-8 weeks post birth!! Quite shocked by that!

FelixFelix · 25/09/2014 13:04

Jesus nature!!!! I am still 2st heavier than pre pregnancy, and I needed to lose a couple of stones then anyway ConfusedShock

AMillionNameChangesLater · 25/09/2014 15:34

6-8 weeks? Jeez

beccajoh · 25/09/2014 15:35

6-8 weeks?! In all fairness I did lose my baby weight in that time, but a) I barely had any to lose, 3kg I think, and b) I wasn't breastfeeding. After I had DD I had about 5kg to lose so not loads but I was breastfeeding and couldn't lose a single pound until I stopped breastfeeding altogether. When I tried to lose weight I didn't make any milk.

Archie was awake loads in the night. His cold is in full force and we're at the streaming green snot stage.

becca very sorry to hear that the cancer has spread. That must be really hard to deal with. I hope you are receiving the support you need and am glad to hear your consultant is so positive. Wine

alteredimages · 25/09/2014 15:54

Ugh sounds horrid becca. N has a cold too and I can't keep up with the green snot! Thankfully he seems fine apart from the yucky nose.

I have a ton of weight to lose. I was already about 10kg overweight when I got pregnant and I don't think I am back there yet. I was briefly before I came back to Egypt but have been engaging in some serious comfort eating these past few weeks. Only myself to blame, really but I hope I can get back to the gym soon.

BookTart · 26/09/2014 08:24

We're covered in snot her too. It is grim. She seems happy enough, and she now says "bum" instead of "mum", which is pretty funny Grin Not sure whether to take her to her swimming class this afternoon, I'll see how she naps today I think.

Any exciting weekends planned? I think the highlight of mine might be going to Tesco...

TobyLerone · 26/09/2014 09:50

Sounds like it's only a matter of time before the snot reaches us, then!

The excitement in our house this weekend knows no bounds. It's just me and M home alone today/tonight. Going to the library later, and Waitrose, and then I might change the bed and put some washing on. And tonight for dinner I'm having chips and dirty curry sauce out of a jar because DH is away and won't indulge me in this when he's here. Don't judge me. M has some leftover pasta to finish.
Then tomorrow I have the lovely job of driving to Heathrow to fetch DH. The very thought is making me tired. Can't wait til he's back, though!

Gettingthroughthis · 26/09/2014 11:43

becca I hadn't realised, sorry to hear that. Xx

Henry is asthmatic :( got anti biotics for his chest infection last weekend which still hadn't cleared up so took him back to doctors today who said he's got asthma (but they don't call it that until they're one) so he's got an inhaler. Only been back at work a week and already taken a day off! Oops

TobyLerone · 26/09/2014 15:38

Wow, getting. Poor Henry :(
I've never heard of anyone getting an asthma diagnosis so early. I've been asthmatic my whole life and there is a strong family history of it. The Dr wouldn't give a proper diagnosis or medication for DS until he was 2, despite me having had him at the Dr every month or so. They kept telling me that they trusted my judgement and they knew that I know what I'm talking about wrt asthma, but that they never diagnose it before 2.

Gettingthroughthis · 26/09/2014 18:20

toby she said they don't diagnose it as asthma until they're one so they call it bronchi something until then. Apparently there's 2 type of asthmatic babies, skinny sickly ones and fat happy wheezers. Henry's the latter ha ha. Haven't used the inhaler yet but will see how it goes

TobyLerone · 26/09/2014 18:40

Poor thing :( You'll get the hang of it and then spend the rest of his life yelling "HAVE YOU GOT YOUR INHALER?!" after him every time he leaves the house.

TobyLerone · 26/09/2014 18:41

And tbf, DS will be 15 in a few weeks. Plenty of time for them to have changed how they diagnose in that time :)

FelixFelix · 26/09/2014 19:22

Fat happy wheezer Grin poor Henry though! At least it's been diagnosed now.

Naturegirl82 · 27/09/2014 20:04

Fun night in the nature household - head lice treatment for everyone Sad

Gettingthroughthis · 28/09/2014 01:03
