Hope everyone finds this and I haven't doubled up!

I've got really bad back pain and ds is spinning on his zebra crying. No idea why!

Hales you can get pre school r&r's and others. It depends what you're looking for I suppose. She weighs more than dd Grin

Barbeasty · 14/09/2014 06:54

Hales about 40 miles...

WLmum · 14/09/2014 07:10

beasty that's the sort if thing my brothers and I would have done. Bet gm was freaked out!
halesthe ergo goes up to 40 something pounds. There are lots of hiking type carriers that go right up in weight but might be a bit bulky and full on. I think you can use a woven sling for almost any weight

ddas · 14/09/2014 09:28

Lost the thread again!

wlmum I have to laugh too! Oh no!
At least you'll get to know the other mums.

spotty hope dd week at school next wk is better. I'm sure by a couple weeks it'll became as normal to her as nursery was.

hales toddler connectas go up quite high- I can carry my 3 yr old in one.

ddas · 14/09/2014 09:29

beasty poor Gm having to figure out what to do next- drive all the way back or find someone to come pick her up!!

ddas · 14/09/2014 09:36

Ds started preschool- 5 days a wk but can pick up at 2 which good as he is an August baby so some kids in his class are turning 4 now but think any longer would be too much for him. Apparently the teachers can't a difference between him and the older ones and settling in well so proud mama moment :) he still clings to mine or dh's leg at drop off and has to be convinced/gently pulled off by them to let go but happy at pick up

SpottyTeacakes · 14/09/2014 12:46

Ds just screamed for ages on the way home so much so he was sick Angry argh he's always sick when he cries!

OP posts:
Barbeasty · 14/09/2014 19:36

Spotty that's horrid.

A screamed through his swimming lesson . It's all about control. Then he was letching at the TV when DH put Gwen Stefani videos on for DD.

DD got her 5 m badge at swimming. About tie.

WLmum · 14/09/2014 20:02

Boo to the crying, but yay for the swimming badge. That's more than dd2 can do!

utopian99 · 14/09/2014 21:06

Yay to dd's badge beasty!
O is in ecstasies over having pool access every day on holiday - he swam 7 lengths today (obviously not entirely without artificial aid!) He's also discovered that a Great Game is to throw stones in and shout 'dada down go' to make dh retrieve them..

Off to catch up on thread now, not home till the 17th. Hope everyone is well in the meantime!

ddas · 14/09/2014 21:27

utopian sounds like ds has really come on speech wise which remember you were worried about and that he has stayed chicken pox free both brilliant!

halestone · 15/09/2014 08:40

I'm having a rubbish AF, i can't really complain as i am always lucky and they never really bother me, the last few days i've felt rubbish.

Ddas nice to see you back.

Utopian, i'm glad your having a nice holiday.

Beasty well done to Dd.

Spotty that doesn't sound nice for Ds or for you, i hope he is ok now.

SpottyTeacakes · 15/09/2014 08:55

Tears, tears, tears. Mainly dd's. Sad

OP posts:
MrsNutella · 15/09/2014 09:17

DS has a cold. DD only wants to sleep in the wrap. Which is ok but I can't do shoes and socks and I think DS needs a walk.

I know I'm really lucky. DD is 5 weeks old today and it's my first time really on my own with them. But DH is still working from home so he has helped this morning.

I just wish I had more plans for the week.

WLmum · 15/09/2014 12:06

Deep breath and do it nutella. It will be easier than you think. Can you make any plans? Any other mummies about for play dates? I found even just making plans with myself helped to break the days up, library, small soft play place so bigger dds were ok exploring on their own, playground, walk in the woods etc.
spotty poor dd with Monday blues. Is she bribeable? Really brave = treat play date/snack/toy/tv/stickers towards something bigger? Are the teachers helping?

PurplePidjin · 15/09/2014 12:11

Brew but I have nothing useful to suggest I'm afraid, sorry

Nut skip the socks, flip flops for you and sit ds on the sofa to do shoes?

PurplePidjin · 15/09/2014 12:12

Or put him in welles, less bending down!!

SpottyTeacakes · 15/09/2014 12:25

WL bribery is no good it never works with her! The teacher always asks her if she would like to do the register with her as she likes doing that. It's just exhausting for all involved. My instincts just want to pull her out and never send her again Grin

MrsNutella · 15/09/2014 17:53

Thanks ladies! I'm trying to remind myself it isn't forever. DH has two weeks holiday at the end of October and still has 12 days holiday to use before the end of the year Shock Grin

Pidj It was a bit too cold for flip flops this morning. DD just screamed when we left the house. And it was drizzling Hmm. We gave up after about 10 minutes. Funnily enough we were the only people at the park....

Spotty sorry DD is finding it so hard to settle at school.

I have plans for Wednesday and tentative plans for Thursday. Friday is playgroup.... Yay!

halestone · 15/09/2014 23:29

Nutella, i have no ideas of help for now but i look after DN and H most days now. There is 14 months between them and it is so much easier than i thought it would be, they happily play together the majority of the time.

ddas · 16/09/2014 07:09

It gets so much easier as they get older and really lovely when they start to interact together. Early days are tough though! My two are 16 months apart- yesterday we went to a big paddling pool as they had such fun playing together. Will put pic up on fb to slow you the good times to come!

MrsNutella · 16/09/2014 09:49

Thanks hales I hope that DD and DS do play well together soon.

ddas the pictures of your DC are really cute.

DS being poorly and DD spending most of yesterday screaming meant it was a very long day. She seems better today. I kept saying yesterday to DH that I think she needs more sleep. Today I fed her after breakfast and put her down, she has been asleep for almost 2 hours now!

DS is still poorly but we're managing. DH had to leave this morning before 8am so today I really am on my own. I'm sure DS will eat a lot of pasta in the next few months but we won't starve.

MrsNutella · 16/09/2014 13:51

Just popping in to high-five myself Grin DS and DD have both been asleep for almost 1.5 hours.

I know I should have laid down and napped but me being me I - took down the washing. I have hung up more washing and folded the washing I took down. Then I sorted through some bags of clothes that friends have given me for DS. Now I'm sitting down with a cup of tea and biscuit.

Ahhhhhhh. I'm just going to enjoy this moment. And maybe close my eyes.

halestone · 16/09/2014 14:01

Well done Nutella, enjoy your peace.

Ddas those pictures are lovely.

Spotty how did today's school run go?

SpottyTeacakes · 16/09/2014 16:14

Dp did the school run today. Apparently she was a bit wobbly but no actual tears. She used to have a scab on her forehead that she picked all the time she had it for over a year and it took her forever to stop doing it now she's started again Sad
