Nature we used to have a Clio and it's by far the best car we ever had! It was about 4 years ago and was an older model but still great. We are hopefully getting a new car this year as DP drives a Peugeot 206 and it's so tiny!

Naturegirl82 · 21/06/2014 12:15

It's very pretty Smile . Think it's the one we are going for as on paper it's the best and we both preferred it. just doing the haggle on price now

Naturegirl82 · 22/06/2014 15:26

Just started putting together O's cot and one of the panels is damaged Sad . Not badly and doesn't affect the safety but very disappointing. Can't find the receipt either annoyingly so don't think I can get it changed either Sad

Naturegirl82 · 22/06/2014 16:39

Yay found the receipt carefully filed away in the spare room drawer Smile

TobyLerone · 22/06/2014 17:38

Yay!

beccajoh · 22/06/2014 17:39

That's good news! Annoying when stuff like that happens.

FelixFelix · 22/06/2014 20:01

Glad you found it! Need to kick DP up the arse to get Sylvie's cot built now.

Got back about an hour ago. Had a really good time at the party! Hardly drank anything though and felt OLD even though there were people older than me there Grin coach had no air con on the way home and I genuinely thought I was sweating to death. Bloody awful!

Hope you all had a good weekend.

TobyLerone · 22/06/2014 21:36

Glad you had fun, Felix :)

My weekend has been up and down. Was entirely home alone with Meredith for the first time, as DS was away this weekend. Yesterday she refused to nap at all and screamed in my face All Day. It didn't matter what I did. And I stubbed my toe so hard that it's almost definitely broken. It's literally twice the size of my other big toe, and purple all over.

Today M refused to nap at all again, but she was at least cheerier, so I didn't mind. I cleaned the whole house.

And tomorrow DH is coming home! Can't wait. Meredith and I are going to Heathrow to meet him as a surprise. He thinks he's getting the tube/train home :o
It's our anniversary tomorrow. We've been together 4 years. I haven't bought him a present so the airport surprise will have to do!

Naturegirl82 · 22/06/2014 21:52

Glad you enjoyed yourself felix. Smile

toby happy anniversary for tomorrow. Hopefully M will sleep for you. I can't believe you managed to clean the whole house with a non - sleeping baby. Completely puts me to shame!

Dh, O and I took the dog for a walk along the beach to get brunch this morning which was lovely but the rest of the day I've had O as dh has been doing reports even though he was asleep on the sofa for an hour but he was lovely and went to the shop to get me ice cream and chocolate this evening even though I'm trying to lose weight before our holiday!

Naturegirl82 · 22/06/2014 21:53

Oh and ouch for the toe toby it does sound like it could be broken!

TobyLerone · 22/06/2014 21:58

Mmmmm, I love brunch. I'd have brinner as well if I could :o

AMillionNameChangesLater · 23/06/2014 07:39

Happy Anniversary Toby!

TobyLerone · 23/06/2014 07:43

Thanks :) Now to shift my arse out of bed and get to Heathrow!

Naturegirl82 · 23/06/2014 08:35

Yay new cot being delivered on Wednesday Smile

Gettingthroughthis · 23/06/2014 09:00

Happy anniversary toby

Glad you had fun felix it is hard when you leave them but necessary for sanity!

Have you looked at the golf nature I love ours and with blue motion it's quite economical

I'm off to haven today with h and a baby friend and her baby for 4 nights. Looking forward to it but doubt there will be much relaxing

H is crying everytime I pick him up today like he's in pain. I thought maybe I was squishing his ribs or picking his arms up too much so tried different ways but he's still crying. Anyone had this before? Should I be worried?

Naturegirl82 · 23/06/2014 10:10

getting dh would love a golf but it's more than we wanted to pay and there isn't much difference between the fuel economy of the golf and the clio.

Angelesque · 23/06/2014 14:32

Toby hooray for DH coming home! Hope he enjoyed his welcome at Heathrow. My DH is home now after three weeks of travelling with work - hooray!

beccajoh · 23/06/2014 16:12

Gettingthroughthis have you checked his temperature? I get achy skin (feels bruised I guess) when I have a temperature. We had something similar with DS a while back but that was because his silent reflux was ipuncontrolled.

Gettingthroughthis · 23/06/2014 16:47

becca just been to doctor and his temp is 38.8 so could be that. Just took it at home and it's up to 39.1. Hopefully the calpol will bring it down. He's slept all day too (which he never does)

Pidgy · 23/06/2014 21:12

Hope the toe is ok toby!

getting hope the temp comes down soon. It's soooo hot today anyway, that's the last thing you need.

I've had my mum and sister up today which was lovely. DS is well and truly at the terrible two stage. He should win an Oscar for his ability to turn the tears on and favourite words are 'mine' and 'no'. Could throttle him sometimes!! Angry
He goes from being adorable to scratching me and being a general shit in 20 seconds. I suppose he's just learning to deal with his emotions but it's v draining.

We had some very sad news too...my sil's waters have broken at only 20 weeks. It's not looking great as there isn't much fluid around the baby so it's unlikely she'll keep it. Not really sure what to say to her or do, except that we're thinking of her. We live a boat ride or plane ride away so can't even offer to help with her DS. Just waiting to see outcome. Sad Hoping for a miracle.

alteredimages · 23/06/2014 21:17

Poor H getting Sad. I swear babies know when travelling and get sick accordingly. N is better now, though the heat rash still hasn't gone. DD has caught the virus from him and so we are into our third week of staying at home.

She doesn't seem too ill though. A couple of days ago when DH received a call from his boss just as he arrived home from work, DD decided to scream "DADDY I THINK YOU ARE A HORSEY SO NOW I AM GOING TO RIDE YOU" really loudly. DH is really hoping that his boss's English isn't good enough to have made it out.

Toby, how are you getting on with the bumgenius? Hope you are having a great anniversary!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 23/06/2014 21:26

pidgy that's such sad news. I'll be thinking of her, and hoping for a miracle.

getting poor H. It's too hot for wee babies! I bought a paddling pool today (cheapo, £3 in Wilko), which says age 3-8 (years), but since A can now sit unaided, I say sod it, she needs the coolness. Baths are now lukewarm only, to try and keep her not sweaty.

altered you must be going insane, stuck inside you poor things.

nature new car! You must name it. ours is Alan, as it's a focus, and therefore quite staid and reliable, apols to anyone married to an Alan.

toby happy anniversary! Hope the toe heals fast. Ouch.

Took A to PixiFoto today, was just going to get the freebie one (Mothercare voucher), but the pictures were so uttlerly lovely, I couldn't resist getting a few. I did negotiate them down from £450 to £215 and the cd thrown in, so it's practically a bargain. Gulp. I couldn't resist the squeeeeeeee! I had her dressed as a dragon (welsh heritage), a bumblebee (just 'cos), and in two lovely dresses. I made them take out the random fairies/words/love hearts they'd photoshopped in though. Can't wait to see the finished products!

TobyLerone · 23/06/2014 21:38

Hope he's feeling better soon, getting. Poor baby :(
Hope you have a nice break.

pidgy, how sad for your SIL :( Hoping for a miracle for her.

Yay for DHs coming home, angel!

The Heathrow surprise went very well. DH did a hilarious comedy Shock face when he saw us. When we got home he'd had some flowers delivered for me (the florist left them behind the recycling bin :o ) and we went out to dinner with Meredith and DS. Meredith had her first Indian food -- tarka dhal, a bit of pilau and a couple of bites of garlic naan. Tomorrow's nappies should be fun!

Speaking of nappies, we're not using Bumgenius, altered. We're using Little Lamb bamboo and Tots Bots OSFA. Both are great :)

Angelesque · 23/06/2014 21:38

Oh pidgy that's such sad news - fingers crossed the doctors can come up with a way of baby to keep going.

Yes humpty, it's waaaaayyyy too hot for babies. Bought a plant spray bottle thing today so I can fill with water and do baby sensory-style spraying on him and not be all PFB and keep spraying him all day to keep him at the perfect temperature

Angelesque · 23/06/2014 21:40

Ooh Toby your evening sounds awesome! Good work MrToby on the flowers (#fail to florist's delivery technique Grin).
