That's so sad cupcakes, does she know why not?

Meringue hope you don't get too much more uncomfortable before this one turns up 40 to 42 weeks is best avoided!

meringue33 · 28/04/2015 21:01

Glorious they've offere me a sweep at 39w but don't know if I want someone's fingers up there!!

glorious · 28/04/2015 22:14

Someone's fingers up there vs. being as huge as I was: no question! Grin

LetThereBeCupcakes · 29/04/2015 08:13

meringue there's gonna be fingers everywhere pretty soon I expect! Go for the sweep.

No idea what's happened why the FC has objected to the match - they've been having loads of meetings and getting on really well so it's really out of the blue. She's not on MN but when she comes out of hiding I might gently suggest. FIL turned 'round and said "oh well there'll be another one soon". I was Angry on her behalf. So insensitive.

Last night DS announced he wants a horse. Shock

meringue33 · 29/04/2015 11:41

Yeah but I'm scared of what happens next! I want to meet the baby but it's gonna be sore!!!!

Today she's been tickling my ribs from the inside, it has made me giggle and nearly crash the car Smile

Bless your DS Cupcakes! Thought it was only teenage DDs that would come out with that!

DS is obsessed with bugs and creepy crawlies at the moment and thought the gherkins we were putting on burgers were slugs! He was eager to try one but fortunately didn't like the taste!

Tugstonia · 30/04/2015 10:34

Hi all, how is everyone? Haven't been on MN for a while - been in a bit of a blur the last few weeks, adjusting to newborn sleeping-all-day-and-being-awake-all-night routine. Can't believe DD2 is now 5 weeks - it's flown by. She smiled at me for the first time yesterday :) Glorious O is loving being a big sister and is usually very affectionate and sweet with her, but has clobbered her over the head a couple of times to get my attention... But generally she is being very patient as I've been somewhat stuck to the sofa feeding though she's loving watching a lot more TV than usual. Looking forward to being able to drive from next week and getting out and about.

Had DD2's tongue tie 'snipped' on Tues and she latched on beautifully immediately afterwards, but since then haven't been able to get her latched on at all without shields which is somewhat depressing :( Going to try to get to a breastfeeding group tomorrow as DP is off work. She is also very pukey which I never had with DD1 but she's putting on weight so she's taking in something.

Meringue hope you're doing ok, not long to go now! Hope she doesn't keep you waiting too long.

Cupcakes how is your DS now? My sister had scarlet fever a couple of years ago and was really ill. Hope he's ok. Sorry to hear about your SIL and the adoption as well :(

Snozberry how are you?

lollipoppi · 02/05/2015 13:40

Cupcakes poor ds, he sounds like a little warrior dealing with all that so well

Tugs did you manage to get to the BF support? How's things going now. Which name did you decide upon?

Meringue, any movement?

Big week for DD here, she is completely out of nappies, she's done really well, she just can't get the hang of pulling her knickers up, she pulls at the front and just leaves her bum out Grin
We also moved her into a toddler bed a few nights ago.

I'm actually really sad, I've put the cot in the garage for the first time since we assembled it before DS1 was born. I've never not had a baby sleeping in that cot Hmm

Oh and dp made it back from his stag alive well, breathing

glorious · 02/05/2015 20:11

Yay for DD1 tugs. I bet she's great. Sorry you've been having bf issues though. Is she latching any better?

Glad DP got back from the stag ok!

glorious · 02/05/2015 20:12

Oh and really impressed about the nappies and bed lolli! DD wanted to try pants this evening but no wees or poos turned up so who knows whether it worked...

AppleCrumples · 02/05/2015 22:08

Lolli wow, go dd :) They really are growing up now aren't they?! Am keeping Ivy in the cot as long as possible...little monkey would drive me mad if she could get out. Shes started putting dd1 knickers on over her leggings...like a little mad superhero.

Tugs glad things seem to be going well. Ds1 was a very pukey baby too but somehow still managed to be pretty chunky :)

Going to see Take That in 10 days, am stupidly excited...squeeeee!!

glorious · 04/05/2015 22:13

Haha cute apples. E is very keen on pants too.

Heeelp, first night away tomorrow. Work thing. She's still waking a lot and will not be pleased to see DH. Feel all sad and guilty already. I'd better bloody sleep.

LetThereBeCupcakes · 05/05/2015 08:05

Well done to your DD Lolli! We had a crack at potty training over the weekend but although DS was keen we've found he's actually doing lots of little wees really regularly and he quickly lost interest in having to go to the potty every 10 minutes! Does this mean he's not physically ready? Or does the process of potty training help them learn to hold on?

Meringue any sign of that baby yet?

DS has been a little star with his medicine, taking it good as gold and is now right as rain. Aside from being careful to keep his ear dry for a bit everything's back to normal.

Glorious good luck for tonight - I had my first night "away" over the weekend - my Mum and Step Dad stayed in our place and DH and I slept on the drive way in our caravan! Not exactly a holiday but I got a full night's sleep and Mum had the 4am start. I was worried about being able to sleep but I was out like a light and got a full 8 hours. Bliss!

Has anybody ever used a Gro Clock? We're seriously looking at it. Getting desperate now!

lollipoppi · 05/05/2015 08:48

Glorious enjoy your sleep tonight

Cupcakes we used a gro clock with ds1 it worked for him, I think he was just under 3 when we got it

I'm still in shock with DD, she's dry at night aswell, she just wakes up shouting wee wee, I sit her on the potty and then she goes straight back to sleep Shock ds1 is 4.6 and still in nappies at night

Apple enjoy take that!

AppleCrumples · 05/05/2015 22:50

Lolli ds1 didn't get dry at night til he was nearly 8! Some just aren't physically able til later (something tovdo with hormones). Wierdly ds2 was dry both day and night around 3.

We tried the potty due to the pants fixation but it was quickly clear that while she loves putting pants on and taking them off she is not ready yet.

Cupcakes that sleep sounds lovely and glorious I hope you get to enjoy yours.

Sending labour vibes to meringue.

Lolli I will enjoy take that ;) am quite giddy Grin

SnozzberryPie · 06/05/2015 07:44

Hello all,

I'm still here, I went on holiday for a week then lost this thread.

Cupcakes hope your ds is better. And I hope things work out for your sil. Do you think the FC has changed their mind and doesn't want to let the child go?

Meringue I hope the baby puts in an appearance soon. And that you practically sneeze him / her out Smile

Tugs glad to hear that you are OK. I hope you got some help at the bf group; mine were great when dd was born.

I am fine apart from being knackered and a bit sick. Dd is being very sweet and feeding me bits of her dinner if she notices me not eating, and tells everyone that 'mummy tired'. I have my scan in just over two weeks.

LetThereBeCupcakes · 06/05/2015 07:51

Hi Snozz - did you have a nice holiday? Where did you go? Can't believe it's nearly time for your scan already! Where has the time gone?

DS is right as rain now thank goodness. No idea what's happening with SIL at the moment as she doesn't want to discuss it at all (understandably). They're still going to panel I think though so perhaps it will be good news after all.

glorious · 09/05/2015 10:24

Hello from Kuala Lumpur! The most amazing huge playground and splash park here.

jan 2013- No, I will not have a new nappy
SnozzberryPie · 09/05/2015 11:20

Glorious it looks fab. I went there years ago, pre kids. I remember going to some amazing caves with Hindu statues, and somewhere where there were monkeys which jumped all over you - not sure how good an idea that would be with kids though!

My holiday was unexciting in comparison as we went to Cornwall. Dd liked the Eden project hunting for lions and tigers in the jungle and hunting for crabs in rock pools.

JuniperTisane · 10/05/2015 09:45

Envy Glorious. That is all.

Tugs hope everything is going ok with your two. Meringue not long to wait now? Snozz just concentrate on keeping stuff down.

meringue33 · 10/05/2015 20:30

Hi everyone!

The little girl is here :-) We have called her Frances, she is absolutely beautiful.

Fairly straightforward Homebirth on Friday while DS was at nursery, so that was perfect. Unfortunately back in hospital tonight being assessed for possible DVT so am pretty gutted about that :-(

Tugs it is lovely to hear from you. Five weeks already! Last night was mad, she is completely nocturnal, hard to wake/feed during the day but feeding all night long. Latch is less than perfect and my boobs are killing me, I am soo tempted to just give up this time!

AppleCrumples · 10/05/2015 23:17

Meringue yay congratulations Flowers lovely name. Hope you are quickly out of hospital

LetThereBeCupcakes · 11/05/2015 08:10

Huge congratulations Meringue! Sorry you've had to go into hospital - hope you're out soon.

Glorious hope you're having a fab holiday.

We bought DS a Gro Clock on Saturday. He is VERY excited about it so hopefully we'll start to make some progress on sleep. Really hope so, as DH has finally announced he's ready for DC2 Shock.

Freaked out now and might have to change my mind. Hmm Grin

lollipoppi · 11/05/2015 08:50

Congratulations meringue!!! Beautiful name, sorry your in hospital now, hope you get home soon.

lollipoppi · 11/05/2015 08:51

Cupcakes, yay on DH changing his mind, I hope you've had a "busy" weekend before he changes his mind again Wink

RatOnnaStick · 11/05/2015 12:17

Congratulations Meringue Flowers What a beautiful name. Very similar to the one we would have chosen for a girl. I hope you're out of hospital soon.

Cupcakes Dan was a surprise. Very much a surprise. We weren't planning on a second child at all and it would be fair to say there was a discussion. DH was quite very anti for the first couple of days. We did a lot of panicking about finances, my health and practicalities like space and then we pulled our heads out of our arses and just got on with it and now when we see the two boys together we can't imagine it being any other way. Its scary but oh so worth it.

Here are Little and Large. Best friends.

jan 2013- No, I will not have a new nappy
