Oh no Lolli thats rubbish Angry for you. Why did they cancel? Hope it gets sorted out quick.

Cupcakes if its any consolation, DS1 is exactly the same at preschool. He's always amongst the group of children who are slightly cheeky and boisterous, although rarely the ringleader. He makes the staff laugh, they think its funny most of the time. I find firm boundaries and consistency between home and preschool tends to work the best. He's going to school in September though and will be with mostly different children which I think is no bad thing.

Re shoes: DH took Dan to town on saturday to get some new summer shoes and the lovely independent shoe shop has closed down ShockSad. This means I now have to go to the bloody buggering crappy Clarks outlet which never has very much stock this morning.

glorious · 20/04/2015 13:57

What? ! lolli what a nightmare. You can sort this out though. Incidentally why do you need an archbishop's licence? Are there any other parishes you've lived in or attended that you'd like to use? Might be easier. We had one as we got married in a college chapel (I.E. not a parish ) but it was more hassle. Though you'd hope as it's their fault they would help out.

Sorry just seen you've already submitted it.hope they agree quickly

JuniperTisane · 20/04/2015 14:23

Thats a nice site Glorious. I got him some trainers from Geox in the end, £27 reduced from £40 so I'm happy enough.

Blasted phone seems to have corrected my link. Happy little soles for those who couldn't figure it out!

Like those though juniper Smile

The church have covered the entire building in scaffolding, wish I knew how to put a picture up to show you, which was fine, apart from they didn't tell us until 4 days before it went up. And the spire is being taken down. The schedule of work has changed and the building will be unsafe at the time of our wedding Confused
We do have 2 other churches we could get married in, the ones we were christened in but they are booked already with weddings that date.
The other option is a church outside our parish that we don't have any family connections with so we have to have this license approved for them to marry us there .

No news from the vicar yet

Cupcakes that must have been very stressful, glad it all worked out in the end though
Also DS has always had form for being a boisterous boy, not fighting so much, just loud and not listening ect he starts school in September too which I'm hoping will calm him down a bit

LetThereBeCupcakes · 21/04/2015 07:44

Oh Lolli you must be pulling your hair out! Try to keep calm if you can. In a couple of years you'll look back and laugh. Honestly, you will.

glorious what a lovely website! I always by DS' shoes in Clarks but TBH I'm sick of him having the same shoes as every other boy in nursery!

DS headbutted me this morning. Just walked straight up to me and cracked me on the bridge of my nose, then ran away laughing. I might have said a naughty word. Or three.

SnozzberryPie · 22/04/2015 06:50

Lolli that sounds stressful but fingers crossed you are getting it sorted now.

Cupcakes I think I would have murdered your dh for that Shock

LetThereBeCupcakes · 22/04/2015 07:41

Snozz Tempting as it was, had I murdered him I wouldn't have been able to marry him, and I had already changed my name on my passport, so wouldn't have been able to go on the 2 week honeymoon we had booked.

suspect this is why he changed his mind actually

glorious · 22/04/2015 08:21

lolli that's just dreadful! It will come right for you one way or another bur right now it must be so stressful Sad

cupcakes it better have been a good honeymoon, you must have needed it by then! Have you managed to get back to the GP?

LetThereBeCupcakes · 22/04/2015 08:25

Not yet glorious DH has changed his mind AGAIN so I've not pushed it.

lollipoppi · 22/04/2015 17:33

Little update, everything's fine, the vicar came round last night, and decided there is no point applying for the special license as they wouldn't grant it, and as our 2 family churches are already booked up on our date, they have had to put the work on hold.

The church is still absolutely covered in scaffolding but at least we can still get married there

Dp is going on his stag this weekend, on 3 canal barges that they have to drive, God help them Confused

SnozzberryPie · 22/04/2015 19:51

Great news lolli!

LetThereBeCupcakes · 23/04/2015 11:45

Lolli fantastic news! Don't worry about the scaffolding - you can bling it up a bit I'm sure. Bit of glitter, some MN scarves and you'll be well away.

My mind is boggling at the 3-barge-self-drive Stag Do. Will they be drinking? My DH hardly every drinks but got VERY tipsy on his stag do. I can't imagine him being in charge of a barge in that state!

glorious · 23/04/2015 13:05

Yay what a relief lolli!

I had my hen do on a punt. We didn't crash. He'll be fine!

glorious · 23/04/2015 13:05

Oh and cupcakes Sad

lollipoppi · 23/04/2015 17:06

They have a 2 hour tutorial, and yes he will be drunk, very drunk!

LetThereBeCupcakes · 27/04/2015 08:26

Crikey Lolli that's a very brave barge company! How did they get on?

DS has Scarlet Fever Sad, coupled with a severe throat and ear infection. He's got penicillin, which the nurse said was horrible tasting so to bribe him with chocolate buttons. Me being me I thought I'd have a quick taste (she was right - it's FOUL), but then remembered I'm allergic to Penicillin Shock. I'm such an idiot.

Oh, and last night over dinner DS announced "Daddy likes Amy [nursery nurse]. KISSING!!!" Hmm DH nearly choked on his roast potatoes! Grin

glorious · 27/04/2015 17:41

Poor little thing. How is he in himself? I would probably have done something similar with the penicillin!

They do come out with the most inappropriate things sometimes.

Our latest is we've been given a really beautiful wooden dolls house someone picked up in a second hand shop. It's lovely and I always wanted one as a child so I'm very pleased Grin But unfortunately it's enormous and we might need a new actual house to fit it in.

How are you tugs? Is O enjoying big sisterhood?

LetThereBeCupcakes · 27/04/2015 20:42

glorious he's fine! We didn't even realise he had the ear / throat infection, only took him to the GP because the rash looked a bit suspect and they've got scarlet fever going around at nursery. He had a bit of a temp over the weekend which was easily controlled with calpol but that was it.

glorious · 27/04/2015 22:06

Oh that's good, hope it continues like that.

LetThereBeCupcakes · 28/04/2015 07:32

I was woken up at 4.30 this morning by a little voice shouting "mummeeeeee! I want cheese on toast!". Hmm

It's so quiet around here these days. What's everybody doing? Anybody would think you're all busy planning weddings and having babies!

Oh, right... Grin

meringue33 · 28/04/2015 10:05

Hello Cupcakes! Hello everyone!

DS and I had a midnight feast at 4.30am this morning. He woke up and couldn't get back to sleep and I was absolutely starving. So we came downstairs (keeping lights low) and had some cereal and toast then went back to bed Confused

Poor DH got woken up then and wasn't able to get back to sleep so has gone into work really early.

No sign of baby yet. 38+4 and feeling fairly uncomfortable Shock

LetThereBeCupcakes · 28/04/2015 13:55

Ooh meringue I'll have send DS your way then - he'd love a 4.30am midnight feast! Were you early or late with your DS? Hope LO makes an appearance soon!

Just had a phone call from my SIL - she and her husband are adopting and are going to panel next week, but have just found out the FC of the child they hope to adopt doesn't support their match. They are utterly heartbroken. I'm assuming they might still be approved to adopt the LO but much less likely without backing from the FC. Sad

meringue33 · 28/04/2015 15:48

It was very sweet. I do hope it doesn't set a precedent though!

DS came at 37+2 so this is officially the most pregnant I've ever been! Boobs and thighs are chafing like mad Blush

Oh no that's so sad for your SIL. Is she on MN? There is lots of good support and advice on the Adoption threads.
