Tugs - how about Harriet? ( I love naming babies Grin)

Welcome beans! Dd was actually born in December but I've stuck around here as the company is great Grin

AppleCrumples · 27/03/2015 19:59

Hi beans welcome.

Have to say the 2 year old not too much trouble its the pre-teens giving me more grey hair :)

tugs I like Eliza too. Hope you are enjoying newborn snuggles am a little bit Envy

meringue poor you. I couldn't function without a decent nights sleep, not surprised you are shattered!

I now have dps cold, passed on by ivy who keeps sneezing and coughing in my face! Can barely breathe for the coughing :(

AppleCrumples · 27/03/2015 20:05

Oooh in other news ds1 is now the proud owner of his own mobile phone (well my old phone) so I can track and stalk him when out with his mates for contact purposes :) He is very pleased with himself...I want to know where my baby went!!!

BeansInBoots · 28/03/2015 06:36

Hiya all! Thanks for the warm welcome!!

Some say brave, some say stupid with a 19 month age gap!! Anyone else got similar?!

Congrats tug! Fwiw I love Eliza :)

These are my two trouble makers

lollipoppi · 28/03/2015 07:53

Congratulations tugs Thanks or Brew
Ohhhh I love your name choices, my faves are Delilah and Eliza
I'm very jealous your having newborn snuggles

Welcome beans!

Not sure if you remember but dd had a terrible ear infection over Christmas that two doctors failed to notice until we went to OOH on Boxing Day, perforated ear drum Sad anyhoo she's suffered with them since and she has a lot of thick dried blood / wax in her ears and now has to have them suctioned at the hospital.

Not sure that's going to go down too well with a 2 year old!

RatOnnaStick · 28/03/2015 08:32

Oh Lolli how awful. Dan has had 2 perforated eardrums but no problems like that after, just a tendency not to enjoy putting his head underwater and he isn't comfortable round very loud high pitched sounds like whistles.

Delilah is really growing on me, the more I look at your list, Tugs, the more I like it.

Meringue only another 6 (8) weeks to go? When is your due date?

Beans lovely picture. My two boys are 2.4 years a part and thats close enough for me. I love them to bits but I do have to say I'm not broody in the slightest. No more for me thank you.

MsBug · 28/03/2015 10:30

Morning all.

So, my period is a week late and after a few negative tests earlier in the week i got a vvv faint line this morning Shock. Also had a bit of spotting this morning but I had that with dd so fingers crossed it doesn't mean anything bad.

JuniperTisane · 28/03/2015 20:44

Oh crap, forgot I was wearing another name Blush. RatOnnaStick was a Terry Pratchett's name change.

Does this mean warm congratulations are in order MsBug?

glorious · 28/03/2015 20:50

Poor little thing lolli Sad

juniper you might appreciate that E delights in saying 'don't eat his pies' regularly Grin

JuniperTisane · 28/03/2015 20:56

Grin better with ketchup.

lollipoppi · 28/03/2015 21:59

Eeeekkkk Mrsbugs, keeping everything crossed for you

Her appointment is in May, it's not affecting her hearing, she can definitely hear me when I say no Grin but I am concerned it's affecting her speech as surely everything must be muffled?
I made the mistake of YouTube-inh the procedure .... Vom ..

glorious · 28/03/2015 22:39

How did I miss that? Yay everything crossed mrsbugs

MsBug · 28/03/2015 23:39

Thanks all, I've been feeling really tired for the last few days, not sure if that's a pregnancy symptom or just a symptom of looking after a poorly toddler! I'm not sure if dp totally believes it, he was the same when I was first pregnant with dd and I had to buy one of those expensive tests which says 'PREGNANT' in big letters .

Lolli your poor dd Flowers

Tugstonia · 29/03/2015 03:02

Wowzers MsBug! Congrats to you Flowers

Poor dd Lolli, you've been through the mill. Hope it'll get sorted soon.

Meringue exciting! What's your due date? I really sympathise on the sleepless nights front. Are you still working?

Thanks for the feedback on the names. I think we're going for Delilah. It's our favourite and I've been overthinking and worrying about what other people think too much.

I'd forgotten the clocks go forward and just had a shock looking at the time. Sitting here watching Prison Break feeding Delilah and hoping she'll drop off soon.

MsBug · 29/03/2015 09:53

Beautiful name tugs Flowers

AppleCrumples · 29/03/2015 14:31

Congratulations msbug! Wow!

Lovely name tugs.

SnozzberryPie · 30/03/2015 08:23

Hello all, msbug here, fancied trying out a different name.

Got a darker line this morning so all looking good. Even dp could see it Grin

glorious · 30/03/2015 08:32

Yay for darker lines! Flowers

Delilah is great and stuff what anyone else thinks except me. Someone will always dislike whatever you go for. Or you could do like we did and accidentally give your DD a name that sounds almost the same as your father's (Ellen/Alan). How did we not realise?!

meringue33 · 30/03/2015 12:18

Congrats MrsBug! How exciting :-)

Welcome Beans.

Hope Apples and Lolli's DD get better soon Flowers

Tugs I love the sound of Ottilie and Delilah. Congratulations. Hope you're managing at least some sleep! How has Ottilie taken it all?

My due date is 8th May but LO came at 37 weeks so we'll see! I am off work and have my hospital bag packed (though if I make it past 37 weeks the plan is to have a homebirth). Midwife came on Friday; head is down but not fully engaged yet.

SnozzberryPie · 30/03/2015 14:49

Good luck meringue! I'd like to try for a home birth next time. I wanted one with dd but wasn't allowed as I didn't go to term. Let us know how it goes.

meringue33 · 31/03/2015 11:17

Will do. Let's hope this bloody wind pipes down tonight! It's pretty hard to sleep train a toddler when they are justifiably terrified that the house is about to blow down!

LetThereBeCupcakes · 01/04/2015 08:03

Congratulations Bug/Snozz! Still undecided about a DC 2 here. Can somebody just tell me what to do please? Grin

Welcome Beans - beautiful picture!

How are your girls doing Tugs?

Do any of the other DCs seem to have verbal diarrhoea? DS just does not stop talking. Ever. And when he runs out of things to say he just repeats the same things over and over again. It's driving me barmy! I'm an only child and naturally very quiet so I need my peace - I can't think straight! Argh!

SnozzberryPie · 01/04/2015 08:29

Cupcakes dd is a talker too. She wakes up in the morning talking to herself in her cot and goes to sleep at night doing the same thing. The only time she's quiet is when she's eating.

It's a hard decision to have more children or not. On the one hand I am enjoying just having dd and getting to spend lots of time just with her. However I have siblings and always imagined myself with two children and I think having a sibling would be nice for DD too. Plus I am getting broody!

JuniperTisane · 01/04/2015 09:11

I get "Yello mummee. What you doin' mummeeeeee?" fifty times an hour at the moment. If I ask him the same thing back I just get "Yeah!" Confused. He knows his own mind, will only have his Thomas coat, his brown boots, the right train to take in the car. Dives down the slides head first, runs into doors, has bruises all over his little squidgy knees and generally now known as Dangerous Dan. The two of them fight lots but play very closely too. I always know what one is doing because the other comes and tells on them. They entertain each other nicely (in between the shouting).

Two is nice. Its fun. Bloody hard for a long time though. Its getting much much easier now.

LetThereBeCupcakes · 01/04/2015 10:22

I just get:
I like cars
I like trains
I like Daddy
I like Grandad Cat POPPY!!!
I like chickens
I like cars
I like trains
Over and over and over. How do you respond to that?
