There are three very near us cupcakes but they're all the same, endless waiting lists. Then four more within walking distance but I wasn't keen on them before (e.G. One failed an inspection for not supervising one year olds when eating!)

We'll find something somehow. ..

apples hope you're better Flowers

Tugstonia · 24/03/2015 11:47

Hi all! Hope everyone's well.

Well today is my due date. Been having mild contractions and lots of low back ache for last few days and woke up this morning to liquid trickling out of me. It was pink tinged and dp made me call the labour ward (I wasn't going to Shock) and now sitting in hospital waiting to see a consultant. Midwife examined me and said waters have indeed gone but because I was going for a vbac they can't induce me so only option really is another CS. Question is whether it'll be today or tomorrow. I'm betting tomorrow at this rate. Been told nil by mouth just in case and I'm starving! Also missing my DD. At least I know it's not going to be days and days of waiting (at least I hope not).

Tugstonia · 24/03/2015 18:12

Still here. Been having irregular but strong contractions for a while so being admitted and we'll see what happens overnight. Hopefully my next post will be to report baby news!

glorious · 24/03/2015 18:50

Ooh well done tugs, hang in there and hopefully not too long before your baby is here.

Blink1982 · 24/03/2015 23:09

Woooo how exciting, hope your having fun tugs ;)

So dexter conquered his fear of swimming today, was so proud. Its taken months of going in to watch ppl swimming twice a week.

Puuuuuush tugs :-D

LetThereBeCupcakes · 25/03/2015 07:33

Come on Tugs! We need baby pics.

Congrats Blink! My friend's daughter is just coming out of fairly severe "water wobbles" and she loves swimming now. DS is the complete opposite and can't get enough of being wet. He likes to cheer and give a round of applause at the end of each swimming lesson now!

Apple You'll need to feed her up then. Cake.

I'm baby broody again. Thanks for that tugs.

JuniperTisane · 25/03/2015 07:57

Oh well done Dexter! Dan is fine going when its quiet but isn't amenable to a class again yet. We're right in the middle of full on strop phase.

Here he is eating breakfast just as his brother taught him Grin

More pompoms for Tugs

Thanks all! Little miss No Name arrived this morn by EMCS, 8lb 12 and is just lovely. She's been doing lots of sleeping and mewling and introducing dd1 to her went a lot better than expected! We're both doing well if a little knackered. Will post a pic soon. Can't decide on a name though!

glorious · 25/03/2015 19:56

Yay huge congratulations tugs! DD1 has a lovely name so I'm sure you'll come up with something great for DD2.

meringue33 · 27/03/2015 09:56

Congratulations Tugs!! How exciting, she is finally here!!
Can't wait to hear the name (if you're sharing) and see pics.

Happy belated mother's day everyone and happy birthday Juniper. Hope you're feeling better Apples. We had a massive vomfest on Monday night, I thought we were in for a bug but then remembered that LO had hit his head at nursery and phoned 111 in case it was concussion... cue a mind-numbing wait at A&E, we got home after midnight and were all exhausted, he was fine luckily.

I am 34 weeks and feel enormous, can't quite imagine it getting much worse over the next few weeks! I am also absolutely shattered, if I went into labour today I don't know what I'd do as I don't think I'd have any energy to push! We have finally convinced LO to sleep in his own bed, which is fantastic, but unfortunately he still wakes 3-4 times a night wanting a cuddle and tucked back in, I am shattered and just wish he would sleep through.

Well done Dexter! LO hates water too, he refuses to sit down in the bath, but we've just discovered he absolutely loves having a shower, I think its the tickles!

Hope everyone else is doing good, speak soon xxx

Tugstonia · 27/03/2015 17:53

Thank you all!! Came home yesterday afternoon and so glad to be here. Feeling v sore but better for having some sleep. Still no name but our shortlist is Matilda, Delilah,
Saskia, and Eliza although we're still considering others. Dd1 is Ottilie. Help!!

MsBug · 27/03/2015 19:04

I like Eliza or matilda, although I know quite a few little Matildas and your two could both end up being called 'Tilly' for short. How about:

JulietJuliet
Georgia
Leah?

BeansInBoots · 27/03/2015 19:13

Hi all!
Can I shimmy in here? I bring Wine?

My dd was born in jan 2013 (although I was on the due date board for December!) and I've got a ds born August 14..

I'm hoping this is place where we all come to rock in a corner after a day of dealing with tantruming two year olds who think everything is theirs....?!

glorious · 27/03/2015 19:46

Of course beans; welcome! Wine cheers. Very brave age gap!

tugs I like all of those but Eliza is my favourite, followed by Delilah (wish DH liked names like that!).

meringue I'm not surprised you're so tired you poorthing.Hope you get some rest over the weekend.

Tugstonia · 27/03/2015 19:51

Welcome Beans! Yes it's def a good place for consoling over toddler tantrums :)

Thanks MsBug, that's my issue with Matilda although dd1 is firmly an Otti rather than Tilly (at her insistence). Still they're quite similar sounding. And Delilah I love but obviously the biblical one isn't exactly a positive connotation and there's tom Jones song as well. Agh why is it so hard!
