Hello, how is everyone doing? Going on our hols mid next week-can't wait! How are you feeling tugs? How is DH behaving himself cupcakes? Have a good weekend all!

glorious · 02/08/2014 11:15

Ooh exciting angielka , where are you off to?

We're ok, work still awful but should improve a lot in September. E just lost another shoe Sad The first time she took one off and chucked it out of childminder's pushchair, this time the childminder must have dropped it. So that's our third pair od size 4s! Childminder is an angel and mortified and it's just one of those things, but quite annoying that we can't even go up a size. Bet she has a growth spurt now. And she insisted on the same ones but in blue rather than red when I wanted a prettier pair

AppleCrumples · 02/08/2014 20:16

glorious thats a pain, shoes are expensive! They make their own style decisions now. Ivy spent today wearing a halloween dress and refusing any suggestion she takes it off, looks quite funky though :)

angie hope yoy're going somewhere nice.

Hope everyone else doing ok, its quiet here at the mo.

Have survived 2 weeks of summer hols now woo hoo! Dp off now f or a week so I might actually get a break!

meringue33 · 02/08/2014 21:44

Congratulations Tugs

Who'll be next I wonder :)

Sorry about general male rubbishness.

We're in Scotland at the Edinburgh Festival.

Angielka · 03/08/2014 06:42

Well it won't be me next meringue DD1 was exactly Molly's current age when I got pg with Molly. DH and I talked about that yesterday -no way! Although ask me again in a year...

Hols at Baltic Sea (DH is Polish) but packing seems a bit daunting at the mo. Well done surviving 2 weeks of summer hols! We've been relying on visiting family until now but DH taken a month off work to be with kids now. Parental leave they have in Belgium - DD1 off nursery school until sept and Molly out of crèche until last week of August. I've got 2 days of work then a fortnight off Grin

Tugstonia · 03/08/2014 12:20

Hi all, back from hols (France), was really lovely although I missed drinking wine and eating smelly cheeses Wink. Ended up having to tell my sis and mum because they're like detectives and were quizzing me on why I wasn't drinking. DD loved being with her cousins and is now properly walking like a drunken chimp. She is obsessed with tractors and diggers at the mo and there were lots of those on holiday so she was in heaven!

Have felt quite nauseous which I didn't feel at all last time. Other than that I don't feel remotely pregnant. First midwife appointment next Monday so maybe it'll feel more real then.

Cupcakes how are you and how are things with DH? I hope things are better Flowers

Glorious how annoying about the shoes. Glad that September looks brighter work-wise.

Apples hope you do indeed get a break!

Angie have a lovely holiday :)

meringue33 · 06/08/2014 12:25

Last night I dreamt we were having another baby and couldn't decide whether to call him

Chandler
Blueberry Hill, or
Blueberry Pancake

Angielka · 06/08/2014 13:35

That's brilliant meringue!! What did you go for in the end? Wink

lollipoppi · 06/08/2014 14:37

Blueberry pancake is my favourite Wink

I typed a huge post this morning but I lost it Confused

glorious · 06/08/2014 17:31

Sounds like a lovely holiday tugs (boo on the cheese/wine/nausea though).

angielka you must be off by now, have a great time

meringue that's priceless. Blueberry pancake for me Grin

Mum's just told me she's had a biopsy for a breast lump which is quite large and the nurse thought looked pretty dodgy. Results next week. She had a scare in November but it didn't get as far as biopsy that time. Don't really know how to feel in this waiting period, I'm oscillating between convincing myself it'll be fine and utter terror Sad

LetThereBeCupcakes · 06/08/2014 21:11

As a friends fan my vote has to be for Chandler, with Muriel as a middle name.

No improvement from DH sadly. And now his nephew is staying with us for 2 weeks. So far he has complained about the number of dogs at the dog show we went to, the lack of blackout blinds in our caravan, my failure to buy apples (even though I asked if he wanted anything and he said no) and has just thrown up in the bathroom and claimed I have given him food poisoning. Tempted.

My friend had a baby last week - 11 weeks premature. He weighed 3Ib 3oz and is doing well thank goodness.

LetThereBeCupcakes · 06/08/2014 21:14

Sorry meant to say fingers crossed it's a false alarm glorious. My dad had treatment for the early stages of prostate cancer last year. He is fine physically but it's really hit him emotionally. Didn't expect that reaction from him at all.

AppleCrumples · 06/08/2014 21:14

Hi all

meringue maybe you will be next :) I like blueberry hill

glorious hope it turns out to be nothing. The waiting is probably the worst Flowers

Sadly dp not much help :( he seems to forget the dc really need to get out and just lets them watch crap on telly. I had to leave him in charge ehilst I got the car mot done. Kept telling him they needef to go out and he refused to take them. He has never taken all 4 out on his own. Keeps sayinf its too much but I do it all the bloody time!!

We have been out to bletchley park and down to see mymum and his just wish he would take them out himself grrrr

Hope everyone else ok

AppleCrumples · 06/08/2014 21:18

X post cupcakes that doesn't sound good. [Flowers]

MsBug · 06/08/2014 23:09

Lost this thread while we were on hols - camping in a field with no internet Shock. Had a great time and dd loved it. Weather was great despite the grim forecast and we're planning another trip at the end of the month.

Hope everyone else is well.

Cupcakes that sounds rubbish Sad

Glorious I really hope your mum is OK Flowers

meringue33 · 08/08/2014 16:05

Not for a while as we need to sort a house extension first :) Name was undecided in the dream as I woke up!

Glorious I hope your mum is ok. When do you hear? X

AppleCrumples · 08/08/2014 19:45

meringue at this point we really need a whole new house...like sardines here:)

lollipoppi · 12/08/2014 09:05

Hellllllooooooooo, anybody out theeeerrrrrreeeeee GrinGrin

Hope everyone's ok

Glorious how's your mum?
Cupcakes hope everything's ok with your DH

Off to the docs today with Darcie, we have a serious case of runny bum, she's had it for over 5 weeks now, I'm on my 3rd nappy change of the day already Confused on the plus side, we have a new word ..... Poo poo Grin

MsBug · 12/08/2014 11:19

Oh no lolli!

dd is obsessed with her new shoes and wants to wear them all of the time...unfortunately they are wellies!Grin

Tugstonia · 12/08/2014 18:33

Lol lolli! It has gone v quiet on here...

glorious any news about your mum? Thinking of you and hope all is well Flowers

lolli hope Darcie is ok too, poor lamb (and poor you dealing with all the poo poo).

How is everyone?

Had first midwife appt yesterday, booking in. V early though, am only 7 weeks (I think) so have to go back in a couple of weeks to have blood tests etc. Still doesn't feel real!

OohQuack · 12/08/2014 22:52

Hi all :-D Tugs!!!!!! I barely have sex so no getting pregnant for me, plus I have the coil in, I'm not planning on more till dexters about 3. The plan is to lose enough weight (5st, I'm 1.5st down so far) then the Gits will have no excuse to refuse the water birth.

OP posts:
JuniperTisane · 13/08/2014 11:13

Hello. Been a while. DS1 has been in hospital on iv steroids with a massive skin reaction to ?god knows what. Home now though so everything starting to get back to normal. Took Dan for new shoes on monday, he's gone up two sizes since we last put shoes rather than sandals on Blush I didn't notice til I tried to jam his wellies on at the weekend and he squealed.

I am typing this sitting on my sun lounger in the garden with the boys watching the combine harvester go up and down the field behind us. Its mesmerising to watch.

Congratulations Tugs rather you than me! Glorious good luck to your mum, hope its nothing bad. Lolli poor Darcie. Five weeks ongoing could be toddler diarrhoea.

MsBug · 13/08/2014 13:11

Juniper poor ds1, hope he's ok.

we did exactly the same thing with shoes, and dd had to wear crocs to a wedding as a result Blush. Still it saves money.

quack I'll aim for a waterbirth next time too, the reason i wasn't allowed was because my waters broke at the start of labour. So don't do that either Wink.

lollipoppi · 13/08/2014 17:43

Juniper Shock hope he is ok now? How odd, will they do some allergy testing or something? Very jealous of the sun lounger, it's pissed it down here for 2 days

Tugs, very exciting! Smile

The doctors couldn't be more uninterested in Darcie having the runs for 5 weeks, I'm changing her 4-6 times a day and her bottom is sore, he just said give it a few more weeks and if she still has it then they will send off a sample

meringue33 · 13/08/2014 21:46

However long you tell the GP they've been I'll, they always seem to say "give it another week!"

Hope DS1 is feeling better Jun that must have been worrying.

I didn't get my water birth either :( It happened so fast they didn't believe I was in active labour, I didn't even get taken to the delivery suite til literally 30 seconds before LO was born. I'm sure his head was touching the seat of the wheelchair.
