The person ahead of me has just gone in. Good job I had a quiet day planned eh? There are now 7 people behind me waiting. At 20-30 min per patient I wonder what's going though the last patient's mind.

PetiteRaleuse · 16/06/2014 08:34

My stomach just made a loud noise at the thought of the brioche wanda

Zamboni · 16/06/2014 08:43

Oh no PR.

So for those not caught up with FB looks like we have the pox in our house. DD not S so far. DD thinks CP is awesome. I am working from home so she has been bribed to be quiet with tv and icecream.

fruitpastilles · 16/06/2014 08:47

Morning!

BrewBrewBrew To vq and bp S was up in the night from 1-3:30 no dummy was not the culprit.... I gave it to her at 2 after an hour of trying to settle her but it made no difference, apart from her screaming for more when I took it away again so she ended up with it last night. But at least I know that her having/not having it makes no difference so I think I will throw them away today.

Hope you don't have to wait too much longer pr. I thought you had got the other door sorted? Didn't someone come out to do it a while ago?

Mmmmmm bread sounds lovely wanda I'm starving! for some reason I done S's breakfast and forgot to do myself some. I might wait until she has her nap and have something then (she naps early)

How is P this morning pass?

lily sounds like you had a lovely time at the beach! have a safe trip home.

BigPigLittlePig · 16/06/2014 08:50

I remember being thoroughly cross at CP, I had to stay off school and we were learning about dinosaurs. Icecream sounds great though Zamboni!

Gosh PR, wish I could point out those waiting times to joe public over here!

Off into town shortly to get NanaPig a birthday present.

Wandathewindfairy · 16/06/2014 08:51

Oh gosh yes. I read all about that yesterday like this Shock I hope you are all ok now pass sounds like everyone dealt with it really well, and hi five the cat rescuer.

fruitpastilles · 16/06/2014 09:06

S is currently sat on the floor leafing through my Ella's cookbook, pointing at the pictures saying nom nom nom Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 16/06/2014 09:11

Home. I was a quick patient. pig the GPs here don't have appointments so you just turn up and they take as long as they need. Once my dh went in at 5 one evening and got home at 9!!! The village pharmacist across the road stays open until the last patient leaves and has told me about some very late nights.

PetiteRaleuse · 16/06/2014 09:12

The locksmith first came out in January, then February for the back door. Took him a while to find the right bit to fix it and I am still waiting for him to come and fix it despite many phone calls and promises. We have outdoor shutters so it's not a complete nightmare but it is very frustrating.

StuntNun · 16/06/2014 09:14

J was up in the night again but has his final canine poking through this morning so I guess that's why. His cheeks were all rosy red yesterday but I thought it was eczema rather than teething. He has 16 teefs now so hopefully we'll get a break before the back molars come through.

Random question but can anyone recommend somewhere to stay near Bristol? I looked at Cribbs Causeway Premier Inn and they want £537 for me, my parents and my brother to stay there for one night!

Zamboni · 16/06/2014 09:29

What kind of place are you looking for Stunt? There's the Aztec Spa where a room is around £120 per night with nice facilities. I've used this chain a lot and like it but not stayed at the Bristol one. Same junction as Cribbs I think from memory.

If you want somewhere really cheap and out of centre, my DH stayed in a v basic B&B not far from Parkway station, I could find out details. Around £50 per room. Probably not the nicest but it did for him and friends on a 2 day hockey tournament.

Otherwise there is a lot of choice in the City centre - I have used the travelodge, hotel ibis, Marriott (both), thistle. Range of prices there. I use the more expensive ones when it's for work purposes but the ibis is perfectly decent and not all that different from a premier inn. I think I've paid around £70 for a room midweek there. Parking separate charge though.

StuntNun · 16/06/2014 09:50

It's just for one night for a funeral Zamboni so we really only need a place to lay our heads since we will be with family the rest of the time. My dad is a wheelchair-user but can walk a short distance so as long as he doesn't have to walk up a flight of steps he's okay.

Zamboni · 16/06/2014 09:58

Do you want to PM me details of location as Bristol's sufficiently large that being in the wrong location could be a pain. Then I can see if I have any helpful suggestions.

StuntNun · 16/06/2014 10:04

Thanks Zamboni, my relatives live in Clifton Wood but we'll have the car so it won't matter if we have to drive a bit.

Testing

PetiteRaleuse · 16/06/2014 12:02

Ooh it's gone on to all my posts....

PurplePidjin · 16/06/2014 12:23

I saw that PR but cba to faff with it!

Thank knickers it's nap time. Tantrum central all friffing morning. Anyone would think he'd decided to play for an hour at 2am and was therefore overtired Hmm Finally managed to get a load of laundry finished in between "I need a wee" and "I need to go and play" (with a success in the middle) with a bit of "Ooh look at me try and launch myself down the stairs" for added interest, so then we had fun gardening until the "Let's shut myself in the house then cry because I'm shut in the house" game began... Oddly enough, as soon as I mentioned nap time at 11 he trotted straight off without a whimper :o Is is Wine o'clock yet?

BigPigLittlePig · 16/06/2014 12:57

I can't see anything PR...

Never too soon for Wine o'clock. Speaking of beverages, dh (aka luckiest man ever with the exception of playing the lottery Hmm ) entered a raffle and won the most enormous box of cider and lagers. Probably 50+ bottles. Given that between us, we have maybe 1 a month, this should see us through BBQ season!

PurplePidjin · 16/06/2014 13:03

Nice one BP :o

I've just discovered a nearly-local leisure centre has a creche! But... Do I want to pay nigh on £8 to go swimming by myself? Pretty sure R would love playing in the creche for an hour, and I have just switched my energy so will be saving £20 a month on that soon, and I do need to do more exercise...

BigPigLittlePig · 16/06/2014 13:22

Absolutely Angry . Was just chilling with F, dh was out walking the dog, when heard an almighty racket. A dog (off lead) was attacking our dog (on lead) - dh had his hand round attacking dogs jaws to stop it biting harder, the dogs owner was doing a pathetic dance and flapping her hands around. I ran down the stairs and smacked the dog across the face at which point it let go. Dhs hands and leg are bitten, luckily PuppyPig seems ok if a little subdued. I am RAGING. According to someone who was driving past, this is not the first time. The owner was clearly the teenage girl of the family, and said she would get her mum to pop by - if I find out where they live, have a strong mind to report them. That could have been a child Sad

PetiteRaleuse · 16/06/2014 13:39

Bloody hell pig that's shocking. They absolutely should be reported, your DH could have been seriously hurt and poor little pup.

fruitpastilles · 16/06/2014 14:05

Oh my god bp that's terrible. Yeah, I agree it needs reporting, save it happening again.

BigPigLittlePig · 16/06/2014 14:05

Have reported anyway, shaking with rage/adrenaline.

F currently entertaining herself with aot of bubble mix. Well, it no longer contains bubble mix, so just an empty pot and a stick Grin

fruitpastilles · 16/06/2014 14:38

Second day in a row S has refused to nap. I hope she isn't dropping it, I'll never get anything done!

Have just discovered she is scared of flies. There's one in our living room and she wouldn't let me put her down and was really crying, I have had to take us upstairs, opened the patio doors and it wouldn't fly out. She keeps asking me if it 'dom' gone.

Wandathewindfairy · 16/06/2014 14:51

I think you did the right thing bp if that girl can't control the dog she shouldn't be walking it let a!one off the lead.

We have had a lovely morning at the beach, nice long nap for O and we are now munching on pitta bread, homous and kiwi before I go to investigate a local farm for some eggs.

I think a swim in ones own is lovely exercise pp I think it would be money well spent to be honest.

Where did you get that from then pr ?
