ValiumQueen · 18/05/2014 16:53

PR J is coming out in sympathy I think. His eczema is spreading Hmm

Wandathewindfairy · 18/05/2014 17:37

pp is nice to pop some vanilla! either old or extract in with stewed fruit.

Boo for hay fever and eczema.

Wandathewindfairy · 18/05/2014 17:41

Pod pod pod

StuntNun · 18/05/2014 17:46

We had crackling Wanda but it was rare breed pork belly this week (Gloucestershire Old Spot afaik, from Pheasants Hill Farm Shop in your neck of the woods).

J has stopped screaming and started being asleep. He has really been awful today.

O's eczema is also spreading. Could it be a hayfever type reaction? Both me and XP are afflicted with hayfever, eczema, asthma etc so it was inevitable the poor sod was going to suffer.

Lily311 · 18/05/2014 18:45

Just watched grey's anatomy season finale, I quite liked it.

O had a lovely weekend with her cousins, she really adores them. But was good to see her coming back to me time to time, I think she really missed just the two of us. I certainly did.

Busy week ahead, revising, driving lessons:(.

ValiumQueen · 18/05/2014 18:48

Interesting about eczema spreading elsewhere. Perhaps heat related? No history of eczema at all here so all new.

PetiteRaleuse · 18/05/2014 19:00

Eczema can be aggravated by heat/sweat but sunlight is generally good for it.

The rash LO is identical to the one she had after the last mmrv and Dr Google seems to think it is quite common after the chicken pox aspect of that jab. I was supposed to give her a dose of antihistamine every evening to try and prevent it but I did forget one evening. Paed at the time diagnosed it as immunity linked eczema but as it is a new drug I guess she might not have seen it before. Since it appeared I have switched to the antihistamine drops she gave me and matched the dose to the prescription that time which will have to do until I can see her. I need to see my gp this week but that will have to wait until later in the week as paed should hopefully fit us in tomorrow or Tuesday.

PurplePidjin · 18/05/2014 19:13

Well, my coconut-pear-blackberry ice lollies are in. Another accidentally dairy free one if anyone wants me to report back?

Hurry up and cook, spare ribs, my rice is done and I'm hungry for once!

Passmethecrisps · 18/05/2014 19:28

Eczema is certainly aggravated by sweat and heat. Stress as well. I get it on my eyelids and in my ears when I am run down and stressed.

I am so sorry that j is having such a hard day stunt. It must be terribly hard when you have the rest of the smoky to consider. P has been awfully clingy for me recently and I often wonder what it would be like if I was having to balance the needs of others.

We have have lasagne for tea. Shop bought one I'm afraid.

I suspect p might be having some sort of growth spurt. She slept very late this morning and then barely made it to nap time. She is in bed now but singing through her bunged up nose. She has also been incredibly dummy dependant as well this week. All of that makes me reckon there is something going on.

Did a spot of gardening. Visited the safari park. P nom nommed at a bowl of black bean soup. Nothing. Terribly exciting.

Passmethecrisps · 18/05/2014 19:30

Smoky? That should read family.

Oh. And I meant to ask has anyone had any experience of Zulily? I fancy getting p some nice summer frocks as she had some beautiful ones for winter but I don't want to spend much cash.

GTbaby · 18/05/2014 19:57

Going to work tomorrow for a keep in touch (half) day. Feeling a bit pants. I haven't been since Xmas. Ive put on loads of weight. And nothing fits. Add to it that it's so hot. Can't even hide in a jumper. Am wearing a black jersey maternity skirt and purple top.

Will have to go shopping soon to get clothes that fit for rtw in July. Hate shopping when I feel like this.
Moan over.

Zamboni · 18/05/2014 19:57

Howdy y'all.

Stunt that sounds rough Thanks

Well done PR!

Pass your day sounds lovely, as does Chasing's weekend. PP dinner sounds scrummy!

Glad you're back Lily!

Eliza Grin

Had a fab weekend - date with DH on Friday, wedding in a teepee on a gorgeous day with fab friends also attending, DC behaved wonderfully for my DM, BBQ with inlaws for lunch and curry for dinner. I may have massively slightly fallen off the wagon, but it was awesome. Grin Back on it tomorrow, gym at 0600 planned.

ValiumQueen · 18/05/2014 19:58

I took the girls to the car boot sale this morning, and spent £18 of their Easter money. DD2 got 5 sets of playmobil pirate stuff. None of them complete, but plenty of play value. All for £10! She also got a pair of Clarks sandals that looked like they had been worn once for £3. DD1 got a variety of bits and bobs clothes and bags etc, and some sweets. They have been quiet all day and the pirate boats went in the bath tonight.

StuntNun · 18/05/2014 20:09

Zulily are good Pass but don't forget you have to pay postage as well and sometimes things take a long time to arrive.

I think it's a bit tougher for us at the moment. Remember that J has been difficult at night all along so one bad night/day derails DH and I disproportionally as we don't have any reserves left. DS1 had been difficult all along due to his special needs. DS2 seems to be having emotional difficulties which may have something to do with him struggling at school with his dyslexia and suspected ADHD. Couple that with parental illnesses and all of DH's travelling (five trips abroad this month) and it's not surprising that I'm at the end of my rope. DH has agreed to start going in to work a little bit later to give me a bit of help in the morning.

I really like zulily. The trick is to but something small first so that the delivery is cheaper and then you get free delivery on anything else you buy til 6am the next morning!

I'm currently surrounded by clothes and cases attempting to start my packing rather than leave it til last minute!

Zamboni · 18/05/2014 20:35

Never tried zulilly, might have to have a look.

Fab bargain hunting VQ! Love a good car boot rummage!

PurplePidjin · 18/05/2014 20:42

I bought my first sling on Zuliliy. I would say that you shouldn't buy anything time dependant - the stuff gets ordered in from the manufacturer once the deal closes, so it can take a while to arrive. Probably not the best place to buy clothes you need tomorrow iyswim. Most of R's stuff comes from supermarkets on my mum's points and Matalan, who do lovely not-blue stuff :)

PetiteRaleuse · 18/05/2014 20:44

When do you leave izzy ?

Wandathewindfairy · 18/05/2014 20:53

I just picked up a slug with my actual hand and threw it off my courgettes Shock I was so cross at it! I had gone out to put drain pipes over them to save them from slugs for the evening and found one there. I touched a fucking slug.

I have discovered slugs do not like seaweed I am forgoing aerobics and creche in the morning to seaweed collect. As well as the fact vq was right and O now has the squits. And possibly my tummy is the next In The family with protest. Or perhaps DH has too as I can here the light on in the downstairs bathroom. Hmm

Wandathewindfairy · 18/05/2014 20:53

It has been on for a very long time you see.

Wandathewindfairy · 18/05/2014 20:57

I think drainpipes might have been the wrong thing but I am in my pjs now so it will have to wait for the morning.

Passmethecrisps · 18/05/2014 21:00

Get some ashes from the fire wanda. Sprinkle it liberally round the courgettes. That stops the slimy little blighters

PetiteRaleuse · 18/05/2014 21:07

Ooh thanks for that tip re ashes. Slugs are destroying my veg plot the little fuckers.
