O is feeling better after two stretches of two hour sleeps today. Has anyone ever noticed, baby Poorly, baby better, seems to have made a massive developmental leap? I have noticed this a couple of times, they are ill so they can grow up. Hmm

We actually have had a lovely day, while O was ill in bed I had my new friend round with her three boys to play. A great big pizza and salad lunch around the table, followed by ice cream and mango soup ( the mango sauce in the ?Ella's kitchen book that is supposed to be fir rice pudd. ).

I spent a couple of hours thus afternoon tending to my courgettes and planting celary, now chilling outside with a rosé while the boys play.

Life doesn't get much better than this, and if my girls were here it just couldn't.

chasing and your post added to my smiles. Have a wonderful evening you special girl.xx

I like your hair Pass. Mine had got really dark grey so I did a nice'n'easy job on it a couple of weeks ago. It came out ok but a bit orange so I've been shoving purple stuff on it since Blush

L yomped his jelly up. I don't normally give him sugary stuff but thought it might be comforting on his throat and just generally. I made it with orange jelly cubes and a tin of mandarins in juice. He was pretty distraught a while ago so I gave him brufen (he had pcm earlier). We've been really lucky with illness so far esp compared to some of you, it is horrible to see him like this and just have that sort of nagging worry of what it could be. Hopefully it'll just pass without spots or doctors!

MsJupiter · 17/05/2014 18:30

Went back in and found him jumping on the sofa with DH. So hopefully it's nothing!

Wanda that is a lovely picture and I know we'd all love the final piece of the puzzle to complete it x

flouncymcflouncerson · 17/05/2014 18:57

vq yes we had skin prick testing which is how his allergy was diagnosed. He's never ingested any of the allergens, just reacted on contact. I'm probably pushing it to advise airline or get an epipen. We fly on Wednesday. I have let travel insurance know, and they charged me £27 for the pleasure.

ValiumQueen · 17/05/2014 19:08

Flouncy better pay extra than not be covered. Bit of a cheek though.

Is it bedtime yet?

YellowWellies · 17/05/2014 19:24

I know VQ I don't understand it! They've played together five times immediately before his pals got spots and then after once we thought he had it. 10% don't get spots apparently. Its really annoying as I don't know whether to keep him quarantined assuming the spots will be along later or maybe he's absolutely fine? I'm minded to stick to our original pre pox plan and go to the zoo tomorrow - that'll bring spots out for sure eh? Confused Hmm

PetiteRaleuse · 17/05/2014 19:28

Fabulous day here weatherwise, blighted by over tired everyone plus me having PMT.

We had a nice first meal using our new bbq and did some gardening.

BBQ at my new mummy friend's tomorrow. She has found me a cleaner too which is great.

BigPigLittlePig · 17/05/2014 19:34

Glad to hear of impending wellness and nice days in the sun.

I awoke to tea cooked by dh. Spag bol. Slightly unusual taste, it was revealed, was due to the grated parsnip he added. Ah, the parsnip, that great Italian vegetable Hmm Grin

BigPigLittlePig · 17/05/2014 19:36

Am a bit Confused that F seems to be dropping the daytime nap. It's getting shorter and shorter, and today there was none. I stopped napping at 16m (my poor mother).

YellowWellies · 17/05/2014 19:47

BP snigger to "Great Italian vegetable" Smile

We is having take away curry. Nom!

Passmethecrisps · 17/05/2014 20:17

I just finished a book! I wouldn't recommend it. I enjoyed it eventually but I am not sure anyone else here is geeky enough to want to spend their time. Anyway, I noted on my kindle that I have read 27 books on it. I got it when I was 2 months pregnant with P. That means 27 books in 2 years (I did read French Children Don't Throw Food on actual paper). Not very impressive.

Must read more books!

Wandathewindfairy · 17/05/2014 20:19

Ooh pr pm me your address and I will send you that freebie I got from the mn book club. Not too bad a read.

PetiteRaleuse · 17/05/2014 20:21

I have a pile of books to read and about 90 waiting in my kindle. There's always something else to do. I have about 8 books on the go.

I used to read constantly. Two or three books a week. I love reading. And re-reading. Then I got addicted to American TV series. Watched the end of Grey's season 10 last night. The night before Person of Interest. Etc etc etc.

And BGT right now Blush

PurplePidjin · 17/05/2014 20:22

I still get through 2-3 paper novels a week can't afford a kindle and certainly can't afford the bill if i did I've finished the first 4 GoT books and started again at the beginning Blush

PetiteRaleuse · 17/05/2014 20:23

Oh cross post wanda was that for me? See above^^ but thanks :)

PetiteRaleuse · 17/05/2014 20:24

My amazon wishlist is stupidly long.

ValiumQueen · 17/05/2014 20:27

YW go to the zoo. Unless he has weeping oozing spots, go. Very strange indeed. And have fun at the zoo Grin

J had his first bath ever without screaming the house down. Hopefully it will be more fun in future.

I am off to bed, otherwise I will Wine

Passmethecrisps · 17/05/2014 20:27

My mum was bought a kindle pp and I allayed her fears about the cost by introducing her the the free kindle books section of amazon. Literally hundreds of books free every day.

flouncymcflouncerson · 17/05/2014 20:33

pr how did you get grey's season 10?!?

Passmethecrisps · 17/05/2014 20:56

Watching Homeland and eating nibble food. My fav!

flouncymcflouncerson · 17/05/2014 21:53

I'm currently sitting with hair dye on....

Elizadoesdolittle · 17/05/2014 21:55

bplp DH made spag bol tonight too. Sans parsnip.

chasing never apologise for posting such happy positive posts. It's lovely to read.

yw if I were you I'd continue as planned and go to the zoo.

Had a fab evening yesterday. Stuffed myself with dinner at Browns and then saw Miss Saigon which was just wonderful.

Today we have been looking after DN. I pretty much managed bedtime for all 3 of them by myself which I am pretty chuffed with.

Tomorrow I am on a hen do. Going to the V&A followed by afternoon tea at the Sanderson hotel. Its an Alice in Wonderland themed tea. I love afternoon tea. Have been thoroughly spoilt this weekend.

PurplePidjin · 17/05/2014 22:17

Make sure you check before pouring tea, Eliza - those pesky dormice get everywhere Shock I would be tempted to hide a toy mouse in there just for shits and giggles

I've got to a stopping point on my current project, night all Brew

MsJupiter · 17/05/2014 22:31

Sounds lovely Eliza nice to hear you sounding happy too.

PP I'm also a fan of the free kindle books although haven't picked up mine for ages. I still read every bedtime but usually fall asleep after half a page...

L has woken once so far, his hair was drenched in sweat and he was quite flushed. We can't find the bloody thermometer but his chest didn't feel hot so I don't know whether to take any clothes off. He is in long sleeved vest, thin pj bottoms and 2.5t grobag. I gave brufen again and he settled after a while.

PurplePidjin · 17/05/2014 22:44

My hot sticky unsettled baby has just gone straight back to sleep in a clean nappy, 1 tog bag and soaked. he was dripping in his 2.5tog and longest! I've opened his window too Shock
