Hmm... could you duck your face to breast level, Oi? I did that once, to a persistent ogler, and he was very shocked to suddenly see a face!

Thinking about DBro, I suddenly thought of murder mysteries (right up l'Avenue Poirot, Northern!) in which all of everyone's secrets are laid bare. DB must be feeling the same as those suspects: totally exposed and not allowed his privacy... Admittedly, he's abused his privacy, but it still seems a harsh drubbing for the ego! I want to get across to him somehow thst thete's more to him than this alcohol issue, so it doesn't take over his whole life. Even the cure is not as big as to be his whole life from now on! Poor boy.

OiMissus · 14/08/2014 21:50

I know it was wholly inappropriate. But he's such a nice guy. It really is bonkers. It was very late after lots of red wine...Confused
I've been working with him ( and drinking with him) for 10 years.
So, yes, he was very silly. And if he says anything again, I shall firmly say "Oi! No!"
I'm very confident that it won't affect our working relationship, and future red wines. And if I find myself in that situation again, I'm sure that a firm "Oi" will be enough to put a complete stop to it.
Silly boys. Even in their 50's.
(But I know i joked earlier, but he does massively respect my work/ business knowledge).

OiMissus · 14/08/2014 21:54

I didn't see him ogling.
But in the past if I felt someone was, I would scratch my cleavage and then bring my finger up steadily to scratch in between my eyes. ( eyes giving look of: "oh hello, there you are, ... You slimy fuck")
Pls excuse naughty language, but it is after 9pm and Ali is in bed and cannot read.

OiMissus · 14/08/2014 21:57

Actually he can!
Actually!
Yes, my pfb.
In the retail park at weekend, he said, "ser. Ker. Ser." (SCS - the sofa place).
I had to look around, wondering what he was on about until I got it.
genius, I tell ye.Grin

NorthernChinchilla · 14/08/2014 22:06

We know he is the BOi genius Grin !

By the way figster, check out AIBU, there's a thread about how Andy Cbeebies looks like Fatima Whitbread!

OiMissus · 14/08/2014 22:13

Are there lots of insppropriate references to his pole?
Ugh ! Not for me !!
Shock

Aethelfleda · 14/08/2014 22:22

Hmm to boob comments oi. Be careful not to get into any isolated areas with such a chap, especially if any booze is involved.

Sorry to hear your brother is having a tough time plu and really hope he decides to think about changing before things really hit the rocks. It's never an easy thing, but he has to make that choice himself. Hope your mum isn't too upset if she gets there and he's not appreciative.

Right. Getting there. Computer check, bit of packing then bed!

pluCaChange · 14/08/2014 22:53

Thanks aethel have a great time.

She's so low it's agony being upright today, hopefully won't be long.

pluCaChange · 15/08/2014 20:57

Sorry, seven, hope uou're not too lonely! Smile

We were out today meeting BIL, and although the DC were horrible first thing, at the post office, they more or less behaved at lunch. Then came home, collected my new laptop and have spent ages setting it up. Windows 8.1 is pants! I'm already worried about lack of compatibility with software I need - oops.

mopsytop · 15/08/2014 22:32

Windows is shite full stop plu Sad

We are moving out in two weeks BUT won't have completed on new house... eeeeekkkkk

Going to put our stuff in storage, go on hols for two weeks and, fingers crossed v v v v hard, complete the Monday we get back so we can move in then. Nerve wracking though ...

pluCaChange · 16/08/2014 10:30

Sorry, mopsy, I missed why you were moving out without a move-in date. Are you renting?
We once had to do the 2 weeks' storage between properties thing (renting, and also pregnant!), so I sympathise, and hope it works out!!

mopsytop · 16/08/2014 10:36

Our vendors fucked off on holiday for a month and only let us know once they'd gone Angry so we are pretty hopeful that it will all go ahead once they're back. We just wanted to be sure of our sale and are going on hols for two weeks the next day (will stay at my MILs before getting the boat) so hopefully we can complete on the new house when we get back and move straight in.

pluCaChange · 16/08/2014 10:57

What wankers!

Figster · 16/08/2014 14:08

We've been in our house 8 years is live to move but the market is unsettled at the moment so might stay put for a while I want a 4 bed next and where we are they're all £280k up and just don't want to stretch foolishly.

Dh gone to footie ds and I watching you've been framed will prob stay in this afternoon want to save money if I go out will cost so hunkering down

NorthernChinchilla · 16/08/2014 14:40

Watching footie n ready for nap- DS has woken with nightmares/mild night terrors middle of the night every night for about a fortnight. If we're lucky he can be soothed in his cot, like last night, but still a broken night.
Plus, last night when I went to see to DS, in a novel move, I somehow stabbed myself in the top of my foot with a wire coat hanger. I now have a couple of puncture wounds n a bruise...!
Good luck mopsy n keep us posted seven Smile

Figster · 16/08/2014 15:54

NorthErn I feel your pain DS is waking up pretty much every night at the moment because either a dragon shark is biting his hands Shock last night I put pillows down and his little blanket on top of me think I fell asleep on the floor for about three hours. Ouch!!

mopsytop · 16/08/2014 17:27

Northern and fig yep we are there too. In our case it is the scary wind or lost loom band bracelet or the ten books she takes to bed every night falling on her. Not enjoying the mid night wake ups ... defs not looking forward to the new baby lack of sleep Sad

ifyourehoppyandyouknowit · 16/08/2014 17:32

I want to move, have more space, but currently we can afford this house on one salary, and I like the security of not being stretched financially.

Having a quiet weekend, been to a friend's little girl's birthday partye today. Only had to take DS take DS outside once to calm down, I consider that a win.

Boo to stressful house moves!

Figgy I know what you mean about spending money when out. It adds up!
