What's the deal with threads being closed? Is there a post limit?

I am soooooo tired today. Archie has been really unsettled the last few nights from about 4am onwards. Sometimes he's hungry, sometimes he wants to play, sometimes he wants his dummy. The last two nights he's ended up in with us as it's easier to replug the dummy, pat etc.
YAWN.

I would't have been impressed either million, though weekend for silliness / arguments with dh here too. Not good and at one point dh through his tablet across the room (I said he spent more time on it than with me / A) and now it's broken, good waste of £500 Sad

For us is sadly milk protein not lactose, so trying the rice, almond, coconut milk. There not too bad and just had scrambled egg, toast and fried new potatoes all dairy, gluten and soya free Smile

Off shopping and to look at supplements, finding it really hard to find veggie, dairy & soya free ones. Everything has fish in it!

merry have you tried cold compress? Works a bit when I'm engorged. Other than that read that a small amount or raw sage works as well. On my phone so can't link but have a look at kellymum.

angel I'm getting this for the vidta as O is nearly too long for the carrycot http://www.pramworld.co.uk/uppababy-snug-seat#.U1zPq6OsPJs

Naturegirl82 · 27/04/2014 10:49

try again! www.pramworld.co.uk/uppababy-snug-seat#.U1zPq6OsPJs

Naturegirl82 · 27/04/2014 10:51

My goodness I'm having trouble posting today. Obviously it's the vista I'm getting it for!

Angelesque · 27/04/2014 12:03

Fizzy Nature that looks great - I think we might go for that. He's almost too big for the carrycot I think too - we think he's about 16lb now

TobyLerone · 27/04/2014 12:49

Angel, I'm trying to keep Meredith in the carrycot for as long as possible. She's 15 weeks and seems to hate the pram now because she can't see out and I think it might aggravate her reflux to be lying fully flat. So I'm mostly just using the sling instead. But I think we'll have to move from the carrycot to the pushchair seat soon. It's a toss-up between what's best for her back and what's best for her tummy/general happiness.

BandontheFun · 27/04/2014 16:22

Angel I haven't used the carrycot bit of my pram since H was like 7 weeks. Although the pushchair bit is suitable from birth and reclines flat. Had to start using it earlier as she just got angry not being able to see out.

AMillionNameChangesLater · 27/04/2014 16:46

Henry still has 6 inches of space left in his carry cot, but we tend to use the carseat more as he wants to look around.

i went for the scan, she didn't tell me anything. Asked how much bleeding, since when, how many pregnancies I'd had, and if i was having a lot of loose stools...? No idea what she thinks. Just told me to make an appointment with the gp in 7 days. Any ideas anyone?

Swannykazoo · 27/04/2014 17:16

Tired tired tired. Little puggle snoozed on my lap from 8 lastnight (breaking Bad series 6 finale) but then woke up going to bed at 10 then woke up 11, 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7. Sometimes for a feed, sometimes for the nipple, sometimes cos he'd fallen asleep on my chest and wanted off, sometimes just cos he's really itchy scratcy. I know its exacerbated when I'm really tired as I just latch him on & go back to sleep rather than doing a full feed. Am going to have to make a proper effort tonight or I'll be dead in a few days. Daytime kips happen in the sling and sitting down chases the sleep pixies away. Really really hoping thus sorts itself out as don't seem to have much luck with the pantley pull off or whatever its called...

AMillionNameChangesLater · 27/04/2014 22:04

Ouch Puggle! That sounds tough. I hope tonight goes better for you.

ds1 and Henry are with mil tonight. She's sent regular text updates and they were both asleep by 7.30 which is good.

dh and i went to the pub, had hot dogs for tea, picked up a bumbo from a Facebook selling page (turns out the seller lived 100yards away) and now watching Castle. How's everyone else doing?

TobyLerone · 27/04/2014 22:27

We're all subdued and knackered this evening. DH, Meredith and I were in Essex for a wedding all weekend, and DS was on a DofE training day today, where he walked 10 miles.
We had to co-sleep with Meredith in the hotel Fri and Sat nights because she wouldn't go in the travel cot they kindly arranged for us. So 2 nights of broken sleep Hmm

Enjoy your evening, million.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 28/04/2014 05:07

million men don't get it, do they? I'm sure he meant that he know your body so well, 'familiar', rather than 'comfy', but it's a crap way to put it.

angel we might well convert to pushchair mode shortly, partly cos A is now really too big for the carrycot. I'm ignoring the 'lie flat to 6m' advice as I am starting to do with most official advice as I'd have to buy a different pram, which is not happening!

AMillionNameChangesLater · 28/04/2014 07:33

We talked about the whole "comfy" thing, he meant that being with me is so easy, and comfortable.

HMRC took the £200 that i was overpaid in one lump today, instead of £50 a month. Which meant we were £50 short on the rent. Happily i have wonderful landlords (my folks) who were ok about me paying the extra £50 on Wed when DH gets paid.

On my one chance to have a lie in, I was awake at 6:15. My SIL had her baby this morning, another boy! He was 9lb 14 and she had an hour labour. No name yet, can't wait to meet him

Angelesque · 28/04/2014 09:28

million congrats to your SIL! What a big boy - great it was over quickly Grin

FelixFelix · 28/04/2014 10:17

Million congrats to your SIL Smile

We used the carrycot once and she hated it as she likes to sit up, so I always just use the car seat on the frame. She's never in it for very long as we only use it when out shopping etc. and it's easier for all of us! The next attachment for my pram lies flat if I want it to, but it probably won't use it for a while yet as the car seat is just really convenient and I'm not convinced the pram will fit in the boot with the main attachment on Blush

Had a busy weekend. Friend visited from Manchester and then the in laws came down yesterday and we went to ikea as they have a land rover and can fit loads of stuff in there! We have done loads of little improvements on the house recently and I'm feeling a lot happier here. Just Sylvie's nursery to sort out now which needs painting, then we will order the furniture next month. Exciting! Another friend coming up from Nottingham today so we are going to do lunch, then the last set of immunisations tomorrow.

TobyLerone · 28/04/2014 10:30

We didn't bother with getting a car seat which attached to the pram chassis, because I knew I wouldn't use it. We have a massive boot, which is lucky as we have a massive pram (Stokke Xplory).
After posting yesterday we decided to get the pushchair seat down from the loft, and realised that it comes with a wedge thing so you can use it from newborn. So we've relegated the carrycot to the loft :)

BookTart · 28/04/2014 11:09

We never used the carrycot bit of the pram, and have always used the car seat. I did try to put her in it for naps for a while, but she wasn't having it so it has been dumped in the spare room where the littlest cat has started sleeping in it!

Poor Persephone is having a rough time at the moment. I don't know whether it is her new reflux medicine or a reaction to her 12 week jabs last week but her regurgitation and wind are so bad that she can hardly feed in the day, pulling away and crying, and wakes up hourly or more at night crying and pulling her knees up. We've had episodes of screaming and crying, which are very unusual for her. I'm not sure what to do. Once she's had a dirty nappy then she's all smiles again, but she feeds to sleep so once her feeding is disrupted then her sleep is shot away as well. When I do get her to sleep then she stays latched on and sucks throughout her nap, so she's probably over feeding at times which can't help her tummy. I feel so sorry for her :(

TobyLerone · 28/04/2014 12:12

Poor Percy :( Does massage help her tummy at all?

MrsGSR · 28/04/2014 12:21

book that sound really bad, I hope things improve soon!

Saturday night Leah slept relativity well, DH didn't need to take her at all. DH is back at work today and usually takes her 5-7, but took her at 4.30 after I woke him up with my sobbing! Spoke to the health visitor today, she's getting someone to pop in next week and give me some advice. She's now 14lb 15oz at 14 weeks! She has gone up from 50th percentile to 75th and is now between the 75th and 91st percentile. Apparently I don't need to worry as she's breastfed, but I'm a bit concerned that she'll grow out of her 3-6 month stuff before she's 5 months!

enormouse · 28/04/2014 12:32

Found you all again you dropped off my threads I'm on list after a few days of disrupted wifi and haven't been on active convos for a while.

Having a fairly hellish time, entire family sick with cold. Cal is a frigging giant and no longer fits in either basket or crib and has had to cosleep with us till DS1 is ready to give up his cot. Like Toby I'm not the biggest fan of co sleeping as the toddler was and still is an enthusiastic mover whilst asleep. He's often ends up upside down with his arse in the air like a roast chicken. For the same reason I don't want to bed share with Cal and I worry about rolling onto him.

The house needs a good clear out with a few room swaps, ideally both boys going into a large room together eventually.

DP is irritating the fuck out of me, as I'm stressed with exams and his brand of tough love is not what I need right now (' you need to sit down and just fucking get on with it'). Not what I want to hear when sick and fielding sick kids.

million congratulations to your sil. I love castle btw (if it's the one I'm thinking of) - Nathan Fillions in it right? I loves him.

Off to win a parenting award in benign neglect now as DS1 eats fishfingers and beans with chips in front of Dr who.

I'll never leave you lot again!

TobyLerone · 28/04/2014 12:35

Welcome back, enormouse! Hope you all get well soon.

AMillionNameChangesLater · 28/04/2014 12:40

It is him enormouse i love it!

get well soon! Ds1 has been eating a lot of fish fingers and beans, i don't feel bad at all!

enormouse · 28/04/2014 13:07

I'd watch Nathan Fillion in anything (have you seen firefly/serenity?)
I'm not a big fan of Beckett in castle but I love Nathan's barmy eccentric mother.

I might stick on the DVD when DS1 goes for a nap.

AMillionNameChangesLater · 28/04/2014 13:56

I have! I crushed on him then too :D

they are on Netflix as well as Sky Demand. Flipping love him

TobyLerone · 28/04/2014 15:29

I've just realised that it was exactly a year ago yesterday that I found out I was pregnant :)
