I am not sure staples in her arse would make that missy sit still Grin

Not know what Playmobil is? What ARE they teach in them in school these days? Wink

I am getting worried about J. Still vomming and green diarrhoea. It is like how he was before the magic dose of Omeprazole Hmm except with diarrhoea thrown in too.

I am utterly fucked, and utterly fucked off too. Today I resented my kids as I wanted to be in bed having someone look after me for a change. I have had one bit of toast in the last two days and my throat is still sore. All three will be off tomorrow as well most likely. And I just know J will throw up shortly.

Elizadoesdolittle · 27/02/2014 20:10

chasing that's great news re your job.

pidj I've just been invited to a hen do that involves clubbing in london on saturday night followed by a trip to the V&A on sunday for a wedding dress exhibition and then afternoon tea. I'm just pitching up on the sunday and am really looking forward to it. I think your hen do idea sounds grand.

DD1 has the playmobil 123 zoo and still plays with it. E loves it too. DD1 recently moved on to more advance sets but not quite there yet. A good investment for the future as hopefully they will be played with for years.

I thought I had the flea problem under control but as I was bathing the kids I saw DD1'S back is absolutely covered in bites that weren't there yesterday. one must have got in her top. Bastard things.

ValiumQueen · 27/02/2014 20:12

Gosh Sophia, he does poorly very well doesn't he? Brave wee soul

ValiumQueen · 27/02/2014 20:13

Oh Eliza that sounds horrid. Poor thing Hmm

Elizadoesdolittle · 27/02/2014 20:15

vq I'm not sure what to say Sad it all sounds fucking horrid.

sophia Hope you and O get a good nights sleep and feel better in the morning.

ValiumQueen · 27/02/2014 20:19

I am feeling very sorry for myself today. Oh, and I realised my registration is lapsing tomorrow so had to sort all that. Fuckers are happy to take your money but don't update anything. It is all sorted now. I can still save lives. Lucky me.

ValiumQueen · 27/02/2014 20:20

Grumble grumble grumble

ValiumQueen · 27/02/2014 20:21

Thankful Thursday my Arse! Well, I guess I am thankful that is behaving now.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 27/02/2014 20:24

Big hugs vq it sounds rotten.

O is coping well, he is obviously pretty rough, I had a moment of massive wobble about it around 5ish, I took all his clothes off to get him to a decent temp and put my hand on his chest as he was lying next to me and his heart seemed to be racing away, in my mind I was whisked back to when he was taken into SCBU after he was born because they weren't happy with his breathing and I did contemplate a quick, just before the close, call to the gp. But actually his breathing is fine, not raspy or quick he just has a really really bad cold and teeth. And nothing compared to the vom fest in your house, I can't imagine what it would be like.

BigPigLittlePig · 27/02/2014 20:25

Playmobil is fab! Growing up, me and my db spent all our birthday money on Playmobil, on our once a year toysRus trip. That and the lego are the only toys my parents have kept. You have reminded me that I think f has the 123 zoo in her wardrobe. My parents bought her some ace pressies at Christmas, but I put them away for a rainy day.

VQ good grief, you poor thing. Are you still puking too? Thanks

Apple fc FILs op happens soon and goes well.

Loving the new found chat skills, Pass. Clever laydee, your P.

F slept 12 hours last night, think she must have settled after icecream-gate. Not sure I updated on the outcome of that? I didn't write a letter in the end, butwent in for a long chat with the manager. They had already had a crisis meeting, with the chef, manager, and care workers, and tried to work out why it had happened. The carers apparently did question it, but just took the word of the chef rather than check the packaging. They have formulated an action plan, so have all been re-educated, the temp chef has been given more training and a stern talking to, and they have all been encouraged to question anything they are not certain of. Someone at the meeting suggested we provide her food, but I have pointed out to the manager that meals being provided was one of the attractions, as I would struggle to provide balanced meals that could be reheated whilst working FT. If they cock up again, I will provide food but on he understanding that we pay reduced rates as it is their fault, not my choice.

Phew. Sorry for the essay Blush

Sophiathesnowfairy · 27/02/2014 20:26

And you are entitled to grumble. I bloody would.

PetiteRaleuse · 27/02/2014 20:26

vq is there any way that on a weekend (maybe this one depending) once everyone is no longer contagious that you can have a day off to yourself? Or even on nursery and school days bunk off work and rest? I find that since having the kids being ill myself is so much worse and a day slobbing in my pjs really helps. But I know that is relatively easy to do in my situation.

sophia I hope you both feel better tomorrow. DD1 is similar with a cold - eats well and flops the rest of the time.

LO's constipation is getting worse. It is definitely psychological but pulled out the big guns and gave her a proper laxative (rather than a glycerine suppository) this evening. I think I will give her one every couple of days until her system kicks itself back into gear. Went through similar with DD1 but she was younger and it was physical, not psychological. All very dull.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 27/02/2014 20:28

bp prepping meals to take in is hard work when working! I did it for the girls as you had to at their first nursery and they get a much better variety at nurseries that cater I think. Try to avoid that is at all poss.

PetiteRaleuse · 27/02/2014 20:31

pig no reason you should provide food if they have agreed to do a proper job of feeding her. Hopefully they will be more careful in future.

ValiumQueen · 27/02/2014 20:35

I have stopped vomming thankfully.

PR I had Tuesday off for just that, but had to use Annual Leave for Monday as well. I thought the littlies would be ok today, or at least just have J to deal with, but that didn't happen. I have 6 days leave booked over the next few weeks and will be doing FUCK all on those days Wink

ValiumQueen · 27/02/2014 20:37
Grin
ValiumQueen · 27/02/2014 20:38

I love you guys. You are like a warm hug Thanks

Oh, and I have given up Brew

And the diet started yesterday. Going really well Wink

PetiteRaleuse · 27/02/2014 20:39

I agree with soph nursery are good at getting balanced varied food into them - the menus are well thought out - and when you are working preparing packed lunch, a decent one, is a proper faff (did it when DD1 was with the CM).

Next year when DD1 goes to school they shut between 12-2. If you want them to stay for lunch you have to pay €14.50 a day!!! Four days a week (only morning school on Wednesdays. The meal is €4.40 but the staffing between times is the extra €10. I think I will let her have school meals twice a week and the other three days bring her home for lunch. This is partly selfish - I like to go out for lunch occasionally now I can, and partly because with me she will eat much less than at the canteen. And I think learning to eat at table with others is good practice, but that might be me going French. I'm going to cut down LO's nursery hours to pay for it.

FatimaLovesBread · 27/02/2014 20:44

I've bitten the bullet and booked a doctor appointments for my arse ache (painful coccyx/sacrum)
Kept thinking it would get better but no such luck.

I think I might ask about my pelvic floor while there too, it's ok but sometimes it feels almost like I can't feel it. From the inside I mean, like trying to tense it, not actually feel it with my fingers. But not sure if that's a waste of time and I should just carry on with the exercises

ValiumQueen · 27/02/2014 20:50

Fatima best to ask Smile

Sold the pushchair Woo Hoo! Going to a lady in Somerset with twin girls Smile

PetiteRaleuse · 27/02/2014 20:52

fatima there is an MNer who is a physio specialising in pelvic floor, I'll look up her website.

BigPigLittlePig · 27/02/2014 20:55

VQ shall I pop up to collect and deliver on my way home? Wink If only, eh?

I really don't want to do her meals, as it would be breakfast, lunch and tea, and I don't want her to feel like she is different. There should be no reason they cannot do this, we do and we manage with no slip ups. it is simply a case of checking labels. A trained idiot should be able to.

PetiteRaleuse · 27/02/2014 21:04

Then next time they suggest it be a proper ice queen and tell them you pay them to get it right. End of. At the end of the day you are paying them to deal with it. So they should.

BigPigLittlePig · 27/02/2014 21:41
Sad
ValiumQueen · 27/02/2014 21:41

Of course BP, I was forgetting you were from them parts Grin

Goodnight quiche. Hope all babies and mummies (and Luis) all sleep well x
