Sry just read back.

Pr I bought some crayons by crayolo (spelling) that work on white boards. Figured crayon marks are easier to clean then markers. Could try those. I was considering a chalk board. But don't fancy the dusty mess.

Have spent an hour trying to get A to sleep. About to give up.

Ok given up.

ValiumQueen · 27/02/2014 14:37

I cannot bear chalk and the noise it makes. Ugh! I am shivering just writing that.

PetiteRaleuse · 27/02/2014 15:04

Good point about the noise Shock

Elizadoesdolittle · 27/02/2014 15:17

DD1 has the ikea kitchen and loves it. Now E plays with it too. I got the base first then the bit at the top later, once she'd grown a bit bigger. We also have the ikea easel. Not really thought about all the chalk dust, but E has eaten most of the chalk Smile

I was due to go to ikea today but postponed till next week. Too much to do here really.

I grew up in SE1. Just off borough high st. Lived in new cross for a brief spell before going back to the flat i grew up in as i bought it off my dad, at a bargain price. Then lived in Kennington. Moved to kent when I was 30.

I've only been to one hen do and it was the traditional clubbing in town. r's godfather is getting married imminently but they're looking at the £150 hotel option so i shan't be able to go. i might see what's on at local theatres for mine, plus dinner out

YellowWellies · 27/02/2014 17:21

VQ Jonas got the playmobil 123 zoo for his birthday from my cousin. He loves it. Yesterday he decided the rabbit should sit in a treetop! Grin

flouncymcflouncerson · 27/02/2014 17:53

I've just been reading a thread and found a flouncymcflouncer!!

ValiumQueen · 27/02/2014 17:57

Related?

ValiumQueen · 27/02/2014 17:59

Playmobil is ace so long as there are no hounds to eat it. It sells really well, sometimes making more than when new.

ValiumQueen · 27/02/2014 17:59

My name is VQ and I am a Playmobil Addict

Hi quiche,

Sorry I've been a crap poster lately - been finding it hard to get the chance to post.

I'm a Dexter virgin. Am scared to watch it. Lily is already convinced that every guy I meet is a serial killer, so I don't want to develop the same paranoia Wink I've asked for the House boxset for my birthday as I've never watched it.

So, my job confirmed today that they will offer me 16, rather than 15 hours a week, which is a relief. I also have to go in tomorrow for a handover. The person currently doing my job is leaving tomorrow and a temp will be coveting the role for 3 weeks until I start, so she is doing a handover to me and the temp tomorrow. Which means my dad will be looking after O for 4.5 hours. His longest ever stretch. Which will include giving him breakfast and lunch. I am slightly worried as my dad has a tendency to be a bit useless Hmm But it shall be a good practice run, and perhaps an indictor of how many days a week I will need to find alternative childcare for.

ChasingDaisy · 27/02/2014 18:06

The temp will be covering the role for 3 weeks, not coveting it. Although she may covet it too, I guess...

Lily311 · 27/02/2014 18:14

Well with you dating, you never know. Anyone can be a serial killer. Even my brother asks me whether you made it through the night, he knows my theory way too well.

O has been poorly today. Coughing a lot, it's really chesty. Going to take her back to go tmrw. She also decided that the top drawer of my bedside table is hers and emptied it accordingly. Thank you. Whenever I tried to reclaim it she went ballistic and did not let me. She also insisted that Brunyo had a bath with her but did not like her soaking wet so screamed a lot. thanks fuck for spare one.

PetiteRaleuse · 27/02/2014 18:29

Dexter's not scary. He's a nice serial killer.

Lily311 · 27/02/2014 18:32

Dexter is not, it's the other serial killers who scare the shit out of me.

ValiumQueen · 27/02/2014 18:33

Yes, Dexter only kills people who deserve it. Well. Mostly. Grin

ChasingDaisy · 27/02/2014 18:34

Grin at your brother asking if I made it through the night.

Passmethecrisps · 27/02/2014 19:44

There are moments when I could be dexter. Just sometimes Grin

I don't think I know what a playmobil is. Must check it out.

P is picking up words now thick and fast! She now does mummy, daddy, Gaia (the name of a CM pal) and sings along to old macdonald giving the ee eye ee eye oh bits laldy!

Unfortunately she is also getting a bit vicious. She is obsessed with my nose and is really rough. She pinches and grabs at my face. No one else's - just mine.

YellowWellies · 27/02/2014 19:55

Today we had our second animal noise. He has been miaowing at cats for a while - we now baa at sheep. Smile

He has also spent the day falling off high things. EVERY time I've looked away - whoop there he goes crashing floorwards in my peripheral vision off window sills, coffee tables, decking... Sad Sad

StuntNun · 27/02/2014 19:58

J had a great time with the trolley in Tesco. DS1 and DS2 trundled up and down the toy aisles with him while I whizzed around the rest of the shop. This will work up until he decides I'm supposed to buy the stuff in his trolley too.

After that shocker I'm off to catch up on rest of fred.

Passmethecrisps · 27/02/2014 20:02

Will it make p sit still?

Sophiathesnowfairy · 27/02/2014 20:06

O is ill. Mummy is ill. (Despite my big up homeopathy I have come crashing down)

Anyway, O is radiating heat like a massive big stinking radiator. The ear thermometer say 36.6. He is eating. Quite a bit actually, drinking etc. I took him to family group today because:

1.he seemed to have perked up

  1. He had had a massive bowl of veg soup some bread and yoghurt happily
  2. I was feeling like shit and it was easier feeling like shit there with the kids where someone would make me a sandwich and cup of tea and share keeping an eye on them, than at home alone

So i hogged the breastfeeding slidey rocky chair in the corner and instead of playing O just either sat on my knee or stood by me with his head on my knee. He was happy when the lady that came to make homemade burgers and smoothie gave him a burger and smoothie and scoffed the lot with a smile and them was miserable again.

A couple of the volunteers agreed that he prob did have a temp. Bastard ear thermometer.

He came home and was only happy when nomming a massive adult size tuna melt jacket potato, kiwi, pear and yoghurt.

Talk about feed a cold.

He has had neurofen and bed.

I have had lemsip max and almost bed.
