Missed your news pikz that's brill!

Despite BIL being a self centred arse I feel bad we have fallen out with him. Do I encourage DP to try and sort it out or not? He is the only family DP has in Europe and that we can freely travel to see without any restrictions. I'm feeling sad that C has never met his cousin. This is made worse by the fact I don't speak to my half brother and C has never met his three children either.

It would be so nice if we could get on and go and visit them for holidays and stuff. That's not a good enough reason when you don't like someone is it? Or do you put that to one side because they're family?

GTbaby · 26/02/2014 20:54

Donna thinking about it more. H has always been un attached. I don't know if you remember but it used to upset/worry me that he wouldn't notice if I left/entered the room. He was easily and happily going off with anyone. May be why he is ok with A, because he isn't attached to me.... However saying that he has become clingy at times more recently, so maybe has has been effected by A? Just so hard to know what's going on in their lil minds.

BigPigLittlePig · 26/02/2014 21:14

Nice work Chasing, you clever clogs. I bet O will love cm or nursery and seeing the other children. F has become so much more confident since starting nursery, and she lurves to socialise. Good that you have a bit of time to mull over your options.

Pikz phew! Thank goodness for boring old illness!

VQ Envy you poor things. Bloody vom (literally) sounds horrible. Hope you all perk up soon xx

Isles 3 days! Yes! Look after yourselves between now and then xx

And GT, I will join you in counting down the days. Silly woman, she is the epitome of cutting your nose off to spite your face.

Apple, sounds awful and I hope you can find a solution.

We also had a total shocker of a night, up between 10.30 and 2. I thought at first she'd been sick, as there was lots of wetness in the cot. But no, it was ALL dribble Shock. Calpol has been administered pre-bed tonight.

Parents evening tonight, F is doing fab, and it was great to see all the photos of her. She is a vair popular cheeky little soul

Donnadoon · 26/02/2014 21:30

Thanks GT Aww I'm sure your H loves you more than anyone else in the world it's just like you say you have lots of other adults around to entertain him. Dd3 is 4 weeks and screams unless I'm holding her, dd2 hasn't been horrible to her but completely stone walls her and I feel so sorry for her, she is too young to understand and explain to and yet old enough to notice that mummy has a new baby, my older kids are a great help when they are home from school. Nice to know it gets easier when they can be put on the mat for a while.

MsJupiter · 26/02/2014 21:37

VQ that sounds worrying. Hope you're ok.

Well done on the job chasing.

Good news about the rats Kyz Smile

flouncymcflouncerson · 26/02/2014 21:45

Thanks kyz and pass I was wondering whether I was over thinking things but we've come so so far with his sleep that I just can't let anyone fuck it up!

He's doing so fantastically! He cried before he was even in the cot tonight as I finished the story and said bedtime now! But... Again he cried for less than a minute and I've only had one ten seconds cry since!!

BigPigLittlePig · 26/02/2014 21:56

You must be so chuffed Flouncy! Have you been sleeping? I find that when F sleeps after a bad spell, it takes me a few days to get used to not having to wake evey hour or 2.

Donna (and Gt) the 2 of you are superstars. Any chance of a littlest baby pic on fb, Donna? Have just watched OBEM so am temporarily broody lol.

flouncymcflouncerson · 26/02/2014 21:57

bp yeah I'm sleeping up he's still wakening about 2/3 times but self settling. The problem is I'm then awake and it takes me ages to Dall back asleep. But all this is still a major improvement!

BigPigLittlePig · 26/02/2014 22:05

Smile zzzzzzzzz

I need to go to sleep.

Don't think I shared but pussypig, after his health wobble, has returned to my bad books by crapping in the laundry basket 2 nights in a row

TheDetective · 26/02/2014 22:33

BP Detective dick dog pissed on the rug this morning. That's a never before. Hmm

Rug is dead dog to bloody follow.

Little bastard.

flouncymcflouncerson · 26/02/2014 22:53

I have a random assortment of crap in a suitcase. I have yet to find a beach bag and I need travel plug adapter thingies....

YellowWellies · 26/02/2014 23:07

Flouncy get your adaptors at the airport and a beach bag in Accessorize at the airport - best place for beach stuff out of season. Or wait til you're there for the bag - was it Cancun you're off to? That's a massive touristy destination am sure there'll be beach shops.

BP Det must be the day for it. Pussywellies shat in the shower and DH is working in Belfast tonight. Bah first time dealing with cat shit since March 2012!

flouncymcflouncerson · 26/02/2014 23:47

Oh dear. Sleep is going to Shit. Just on minute 3 of crying. First check in will be at 5 min mark. Fuck! He was doing so well!

flouncymcflouncerson · 27/02/2014 00:25

He's still at it but not long enough at one time to warrant going in Sad Sad

I'm tired and Dh happily ignoring it!

Thechick · 27/02/2014 06:44

Morning everyone

Great news Chasing you must be very proud

Vq hope things are getting easier for you. You guys have had more than your fair share.

Hey Donna good to see you. You and Gt ARE superstars. I can't imagine having H and a newborn.

lily what part of London did you used to live in. Is it just Gt and I from London or are the more of us.

Kyz if its any consolation H doesn't listen to me either. He understands a few things but mostly not, but more and more everyday.

Pikz glad it's not anything too serious. We went through a hospital stay because of rsv just before Christmas so I understand your tears of relief completely.

Flouncy hope the night got better

Went to the dr yesterday because H's temp was staying in the high 38's almost 39 without calpol and they said he has tonsillitis and the conjunctivitis is because of a blockage or something. The conjunctivitis has got much worse yesterday evening so I think we are going to ask for drops. He seems fine in himself. He hates the ab and we have a 7 day course. He needs to have it 1 hour before eating or 2 hours after 4 times a day. Does anyone know how strict we have to be about that?

I'm back at work today after being on holiday.

Thechick · 27/02/2014 06:44

On holiday from work, not away from holiday.

PetiteRaleuse · 27/02/2014 06:57

Morning quiche. Hope the night improved flouncy

PetiteRaleuse · 27/02/2014 07:00

No idea re the ab dosage rules chick but I hope he gets better soon. I know the NHS link says treating conjunctivitis doesn't speed things up I have found that it does

ValiumQueen · 27/02/2014 07:13

Chick, it is impossible to stick to those guidelines with ABs. Just give them 4 times a day, spaced as evenly as you can. Just getting them into them is an achievement.

ValiumQueen · 27/02/2014 07:19

DH forgot to give J his meds yesterday so he woke at 4 all refluxy and has been sick twice. Still has diarrhoea poor boy. This is since Sunday but he is ok in himself, no fever and he is peeing ok. The girls got up at 5. DD1 vomiting, DD2 just diarrhoea at the moment.

ditsygal · 27/02/2014 08:06

lily I haven't seen Dexter yet - but we are so behind on series that we keep being told to watch that by the time I see it (prob in about 10 years) I definitely will have forgotten what you said.

pikz yay for clear lungs! you must be so relieved.

Kyz yay for the rats. I love how you look after them so well. I am the same - so soft about all animals. We spent £2000 that we had to put on credit cards getting my cats broken leg fixed a few years back. He pee's on my carpets and meows in the night to wake us up but me and DH are both as soft as each other!

apple I hope your BIL pays half and that you can have your wedding soon

ummm can't remember what else I've read so I'll stop there. F slept through last night, first time in 11 days - yay! think it might be a fluke left over from a particularly bad night the day before so he was shattered, but I can keep my fingers crossed. I am now making sure he goes to sleep in his cot for naps too (i used to put him to sleep on my bed and then transfer him) so hopefully that will help.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 27/02/2014 08:16

Am a Dexter virgin would need another baby to feed to have time to catch up with to million series I have missed

PetiteRaleuse · 27/02/2014 08:35

chick just looked up what I use for conjunctivitis. It's called Borax but a quick google suggests that is sth completely different over there. Anyway it's otc eye washes based around boric acid - nursery insist on abs on top of that but the eye wash alone helps keep the eyes clean and free of infection. I'm normally advised by Dr to treat with that for three or four days then abs if it doesn't clear up quickly. Nursery insist ab treatment starts after a day Hmm

Funny how they couldn't give a bollocks about kids coming in so ill they still need chest physio a couple of times a day but cause hysteria over pink eye.

PurplePidjin · 27/02/2014 08:41

British borax is drain cleaner don't put it anywhere near your eyes Shock Shock Shock

PetiteRaleuse · 27/02/2014 08:58

Yes, thought it was sth like that but I'm sure you can find an equivalent of French borax in Boots or somewhere.
