Sending you good calling into work vibes vq

ValiumQueen · 24/02/2014 08:52

Wow. That seems to have worked Sophia Smile I did not get told off, belittled, intimidated or grilled. She even thanked me for letting me know, and said she hoped he soon felt better

ValiumQueen · 24/02/2014 08:55

J is asleep on his changing mat. He seems a lot more grown up all of a sudden. He seems to understand that I am trying to help him, and seems reassured by my presence. I know he always was to an extent, but he seems to understand he is poorly IYSWIM. BrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrewBrew

Gosh, it really is the time of year for illnesses isn't it? we are just coming out of the worst cold F has ever had, complete with nightly visits, temperature, cough and bloody noses each morning from all the snot. It's been horrible but he seems much better today (our day still started at 4.45 though Hmm
Sending get well vibes to all the babies who need it.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 24/02/2014 09:04

Brilliant vq let's hope I am on a role today. Hmm

StuntNun · 24/02/2014 09:05

And now J has a dire rear. It never rains but it pours. At least DS1 is revelling in being off school!

It's the end of winter bugs doing the rounds. In a few weeks it'll be spring and our babies will be healthier. They will they will they will. Ignores fact I said that last year at this time and spring didn't start proper until May

Glad your boss was pleasant vq - maybe she had someone in the room with her that she was trying to impress. I am really sorry stunt but your last post just made me :o - so apt.

vq I find that with LO now - she hates me saline solutioning her nose for example but she lets me do it without struggling as I guess she realises it isn't sadism but trying to help and she does feel better for it. I love all those little signs that they are, not growing up, but becoming little people rather than just babies. Even though they have always been little people. You know what I mean.

ValiumQueen · 24/02/2014 09:57

Poor J is so sleepy and listless. He is just drained and hollow. No fever. Just so unlike him. Am up in bed with him. I am keeping a close eye on him.

I hope you are right PR and the bugs do sod off soon.

YellowWellies · 24/02/2014 10:11

Get well soon to all quichelets!

BP I think all you can do is provide a healthy role model regarding health and body issues to combat some of the negative example coming from her Mum. Words are one thing but its being a good example that's most positive and hopefully she'll realise that obsessing about your appearance is not a defining quality of being a woman. VQ you are too down on yourself in this regard - you are one of the wisest and most aware women I've ever met and your care for your families health, happiness and wellbeing is palpable x

Sophiathesnowfairy · 24/02/2014 10:12

My car juddered and shuddered all the way to the garage embarrassingly going at 30 in 3rd on a 50mph busy road the mechanic made one of those mechanics noises when he heard it rev. I am not holding out much hope for a cheap resolution. Sad

Lily311 · 24/02/2014 10:42

Little girl is in bed. She has not stopped whining since morning. Gave her painkillers, teetha and gel. Now sleep for long, mummy needs a break.

PetiteRaleuse · 24/02/2014 10:53

Poor little J :( you know they can perk up as quickly as they flop but it is horrible during the floppy parts :(

Ouch soph I hope the car isn't too expensive.

piggy how is your puppy, you rarely mention him and there have not been enough photos on the FB page. Ditto to yw I am not sure I have seen any pictures of B...?

isles as hard as it is to go through right now it is a good thing that your XP is showing you what a cunt he can be. If you think he would harm the dog then keep an eye out on his well being from a distance and get him rehomed if you think he is harming him. As for laying claim to various furniture and electronic goods then the best you can do is try and hold on to what is yours but remember, at the end of the day, it's only stuff. When I left one of my exes I came back to the flat one day to find I had been left with a beanbag, a pan, plate, knife and fork,my books and clothes, soap and one towel. Everything else was gone right down to the fridge and cooker. It was upsetting as everything we owned had been bought jointly. He also closed down our joint account without warning and without checking all the cheques had been cleared, which led to my bank card suddenly being swallowed one day and endless faff persuading the bank to give me another one. I was really angry at the time (understatement) but in the long term he is still a miserable git with a chip on his shoulder (by all accounts) and I eventually found happiness and balance. This will come back to bite him on the bum one day, I promise you. In the meantime you have just got to get your head round the fact that you have had a lucky escape and are showing Tilly that no woman deserves to be treated like shit - a lesson many of us wish we had learned as a child.

Passmethecrisps · 24/02/2014 11:13

Break time. Today's treat was a kitkat. It was tasty.

So very sorry to hear of all the miserable nights and very poorly babies.

Have lots of Brew and Cake

YellowWellies · 24/02/2014 11:15

I've popped some pics up of Betsy boo on FB for you PR.

Isles anyone that can even threaten to shoot a dog is the sort of pathetic tool who feels the need to demonstrate how manly he is by hurting innocent creatures. He doesn't look manly. A man provides for his child. A man doesn't hurt or even threaten to hurt an animal. A man doesn't hurt his partner or attempt DV.

FFS if something awful happened there is such a thing as the PDSA who will treat animals for free!!! If you are worried, and you will be getting the dog back in six months when you buy your house - keep the insurance up yourself maybe. Or if you really don't trust your ex and are worried about A's wellbeing, have you considered rehoming him to someone responsible enough to look after him. It's a horrible choice as I know how much you love him but it would remove your ex's pathetic attempts to emotionally blackmail you by threatening a dog. What an absolute weapon he is!!! There is a reason that he's got to nearly forty with no woman wanting to marry him! Run away!!!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 24/02/2014 11:35

O has gone to bed too, after a minimal lunch and what he had was hidden on a spoon under some yoghurt and a massive spoon of calpol. Finally it is quiet. DS 1 is happily tucking into the bit of ice cream he saved from yesterday's dinner and it is absolutely quiet, expect for a bit of nomming sound and the occasional slurp.

Bloody molars.

Bloody cars.

Thechick · 24/02/2014 11:42

I think it maybe teeth here too. He's got 16. 8 came through at nice about 6 weeks ago. I thought that would be it. He is like a tap from his nose and dribbling. Temp is not gong under 37.5. Boo hiss!!

Thechick · 24/02/2014 11:42

At once not at nice

flouncymcflouncerson · 24/02/2014 11:47

Sorry to hear of rubbish nights :(

I'm going to shock everyone here and say....ours was fucking amazing!!!!

He went down at 8.15pm with about 30 seconds crying. He then woke at 11.30pm but didn't even cry long enough for us to do a check in. He cried for maybe 2 minutes at most. Then he woke twice in the night but cried for about ten seconds then slept til 7am!!!!! So.....I didn't see him from 8.15pm til 7am!!!!

WOOFUCKINGHOO!!!!!!!!

Hopefully he'll stop making noise when he wakes as he woke me twice and it takes me ages to get sleep!! But yep....amaze balls!!!

PetiteRaleuse · 24/02/2014 11:52

That is amazing flouncy well done! Once he realises just how wonderful sleep is he will get into a routine hopefully. He looks a happy little chap but I don't know how he was managing on so little sleep, let alone you Flowers

YellowWellies · 24/02/2014 11:55

awesome!!! It sounds like he was as keen to sleep through in his own bed as you were. Perfect timing - he must have been ready for this. Well done love. No one deserves sleep more than you!!! Enjoy. J stick with the programme wee man!

TheDetective · 24/02/2014 11:59

I am so glad it worked for you Flouncy! Horrible to do, but the reward is so worth it for your whole family!

Keep it up J! Now you know he can do it, if you have to do it again, you know it can work! :)

Lily311 · 24/02/2014 12:15
