Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

You will stormy I didn't have a dryer for years and as I say I hardly use for anything, in our rented house I hardly used it at all as it was a washer dryer and not that great. I only use it more now because of the free electricity.

Qq stormy when the scary light came on in your car did it go into go save mode, you couldn't drive it v fast?

Sophiathesnowfairy · 23/02/2014 13:21

Go safe.

Lily311 · 23/02/2014 13:42

No dryer here, no need for only the 2 of us. I'm also way too frugal to use one although would be handy in emergencies.

I love living in a new building. Everything works! And there is no noise from neighbours, I hated that in London.

O didn't nap, she was crying in pain. So we watched some teletabbies for the first time, she was fascinated. Now debating to go out for a walk or not. Probably will go.

flouncymcflouncerson · 23/02/2014 13:46

vq yeah! Come live near me in Glasgow!! Where is the job?

isles that's unfortunate about A dog but not unexpected. You will cope OK and having M with you is much more important.

BigPigLittlePig · 23/02/2014 13:48

No dryer here, 2 adults, toddler plus dsd. Just make sure you invest in a decent clothes airer and you will be fine. Sorry to hear about A-dog, Isles. I am a firm believer in everything happening for a reason - sometimes it takes time for that reason to become apparent, but there will be one.

Flouncy - good result! What time did you lie in until? F and I slept on the floor for a change and she contemplated beginning the day at 6.30. Clever sausage went back off until 8.20 though!

Sorry the aquarium was a bit shite PR. Sounds like ice hockey was a hit though so not a wasted trip.

Am feeling a bit Sad about Fs allergies. Realised it's nearly pancake day, and with the egg problem I can't see how she can join in. Milk and soya had easy replacements, bar cheese, but egg?? Shall be okay, will look for the lingering bits of quiche fish and attempt some self slapping Hmm.

Passmethecrisps · 23/02/2014 14:37

Bp I was given an egg free pancake recipe. I will find it and send it to you.

StormyIsles · 23/02/2014 15:46

apple how did you get on with the laptop you linked me? Were they quick to deliver? Think I'm going to have to go for it - it's the same price as the windows ones I've looked at so feel I can justify it, and two weeks of tutoring (in the run up to exams) will pay for it. Confused

ValiumQueen · 23/02/2014 15:53

I will message you later Flouncy, about the job. It is a promotion, not as big a promotion as I went for recently, and a grade I have worked at for many years. A promotion on what I do at the moment anyway.

Donnadoon · 23/02/2014 15:57

Hi ya'll
Has anyone else's Dc had a nappy rash that won't clear up ?
I've tried metanium bepanthem sudocrem
The gp prescribed clotrimazole on Friday and it's done nothing
So I'm going back tomorrow to ask for timedene ? Maybe ? Think dd1 was prescribed that once.

ValiumQueen · 23/02/2014 16:10

Donna they may say you need to try it a bit longer, but worth going back. Poor thing.

I have just listed DD2s bedroom furniture and feel really sad as my baby is growing up :-( But that is good isn't it? Perhaps I am sad as I cannot use it for J.

Donnadoon · 23/02/2014 16:13

VQ thanks and yes I thought that too

Sophiathesnowfairy · 23/02/2014 16:37

Sad vq another Milestone. I just put a bundle of boys 6-12 on eBay made me feel sad. No more babies. Really this time.

ValiumQueen · 23/02/2014 17:24

I have not listed any clothes yet. I have still to decide what to use for memory bunting Grin At this rate it will be able to go around their rooms 20 times.

PetiteRaleuse · 23/02/2014 18:15

I gave up on listing clothes on ebay. Luckily almost all our baby clothes were second hand or gifts. The rest were vests.

I am about to ebay a camera, a camcorder and possibly a watch though. My iphone has replaced all three.

Lily311 · 23/02/2014 18:19

I still use my camera and camcorder. The iPhone doesn't replace either of them in my case. I will not ebay anything (apart from jumperoo), I'm still hoping I find a man one day and I can have more children.

She was so grumpy today, 4 teeth in 10 days took it's toll. She has the jabs on Tuesday, dread to think how she will cope.

YellowWellies · 23/02/2014 18:19

Isles boo about A dog but it might well be fairest on him - he's too young and bouncy to be home alone all day. As for tumblers they bump the average electricity bill up by 30-40% (in a GCH house) so I'm loathe to get one. Even though I love my energy company (Ecotricity- they totally rock btw if anyone fancies a change from the big 6) I'm not going to throw money at them. We use airers. With a good washer on a high spin most stuff dries overnight anyway. So don't worry about a drier xx

Lily311 · 23/02/2014 18:22

donna o had one rash and only canesten cleared it up. Bad mummy didn't realise it was thrush:(.

ValiumQueen · 23/02/2014 18:30

Can someone talk to me about foreskins please? Getting a bit concerned about J as it looks awful tight.

Passmethecrisps · 23/02/2014 19:12

Hmm. Can't help about foreskins I'm afraid. I can imagine though that I right one must be awfully uncomfy.

My WORD p is miserable with these teeth. Jings she has been Velcro. She is never Velcro. She has spent the day whinging, being naughty, crying then running from one to the other of us needing cuddles.

Also, bottle feeders - has anyone dropped the night time bottle? Last two evenings p has almost completely rejected the bottle. Maybe 1oz then pushes the rest away.

I have more milk questions but one thing at a time!

Passmethecrisps · 23/02/2014 19:12

a tight one

flouncymcflouncerson · 23/02/2014 19:13

No idea about foreskin as I'm still not used to boy bits!

We still have 2 bottles a day and won't be dropping wither anytime soon as J still won't drink water or anything so I need to keep it.

Fat lot of use I am!

Lily311 · 23/02/2014 19:21

O has 2 bottles, morning and evening. She drains both. I'm going to get rid of the bottle and replace it with a beaker in June latest when we go to London, will just forget to take it with us.

Can't help with boys' bits , sorry.

YellowWellies · 23/02/2014 19:22

VQ maybe flash his nethers in the direction of the HV? I was wondering the same about J's but was reassured it was fine.

I made Jonas totally lose it today Blush we were putting him in the car seat and he was starting to lose his shit so 'clever Mummy' decided to flick the car's internal light on and off briefly, whilst the car was stationery, to distract him. So he then spent a twenty minute car journey raging "DAT, DAT, daaaaaaaaatttttttt Muuuuuuummmmmyyyyyyy" and reaching for it. Proper berserk. Whoopsie! Blush

Still at least I didn't bash his head against a door lintel when making him 'fly'. Poor DH got both barrels off me and hysteria from the bear.

He's possibly not had the best ever Sunday Hmm . Still his appetite is back and I book in with the MW tomorrow. Excited! It's v different being pregnant with no. 2 I keep forgetting and I'm much less tired and don't have the raging appetite I had with J - it's very different so far. Team pink maybe?

Passmethecrisps · 23/02/2014 19:34

Spoke to soon. Woke after 20 mins and has had half the bottle. Then sicked up some and had to have her bedding changed. Ah well!

How are things tonight flouncy? What's the plan?

StormyIsles · 23/02/2014 19:38

Good luck tonight flouncy, you're doing an amazing job!

I'm feeling v organised tonight as I scoff wine from a mug just bought a new laptop so I can throw his back at him, packed a tonne of crap and arranged a removal firm who will shift above crap door-door for £50!! (Recommended by a friend, otherwise it would have been too good to be true!)
