Clearly my links didn't work using the app.... Will try fix them later!

J did indeed go back to sleep. Probably around 7.40am as I was debating on whether it should just be morning. However he went back to sleep til 9am! Grin Grin

Would have been better had dd not been awake at 7.15am but still.... Little things.

Dh is sorry he slept through most of it but had taken kids downstairs and I am to remain in bed asleep til I see fit! Score! Grin Grin

ValiumQueen · 23/02/2014 09:40

Sounds good Flouncy.

ValiumQueen · 23/02/2014 09:42

Our Tumble Dryer has just died. There goes the savings. We considered doing without...... For about 5 minutes.

PetiteRaleuse · 23/02/2014 09:50

Crap vq I was against having a tumble dryer until DH bought one just before DD1 was born. I never looked back, mine does a load most days.

applepieinthesky · 23/02/2014 09:51

Sorry you had bad nights lily and flouncy.

C is teething too which explains the poor sleep recently. He was very good last night though - just one wake up and settled back to sleep quickly. He let me look in his mouth this morning and he has another one down the bottom that I didn't know about and two more about to cut through either side at the top.

About time. He has had only four teeth since he was nine months old!

Elizadoesdolittle · 23/02/2014 09:58

Thanks bplp and pidj I don't think I can brave the water test either. One landed on my finger last night, the fucker.

The other annoying thing is there is no plumbing for a washing machine. Well there is but it's in the car port (don't ask) so I'm having to do washing at my mil and dsis which is very annoying.

Still, all that aside we are actually settling in well and the girls are happy.

Sorry I've not commented much on anything else. I'll stop being so self obsessed now Smile

FatimaLovesBread · 23/02/2014 10:05

Blardy hell! Half way through another thread already

Really struggling to keep up at the moment. I'm ill AGAIN! Feel like I've been poorly for the whole of Feb. M's not so good as well.

Today we're going to PIL for a birthday but I really fancy just staying in bed.

Will try catch up on the last 100 posts of so

Elizadoesdolittle · 23/02/2014 10:08

vq that sucks. We left our tumble dryer at the house. Long term I couldn't do without one either.

flouncy I'm glad you persisted. I hope tonight is easier for you.

Zoo passes are a great idea. I did buy some when I just had DD1 but I don't think I got my monies worth so I stopped. I am very lucky in that there is so much to do round here I end up going to lots of different places. I have tested them all out now though so know my favourites. I will buy a pass for a farm and a country house (that has a fab play park) and everywhere else I will pay on entry. oh and i'll prob end up with a pass to leeds castle as if you go once you get a years entry. The castle is a bit crap but the grounds are great.

ChasingDaisy · 23/02/2014 10:09

Morning

Well done for surviving the first night flouncy and for sticking to your guns. Sounds like some progress was made Smile

Zoos. I love them but always feel a bit conflicted to see beautiful animals out of their natural habitat. That said, I am off to London Zoo for my birthday next weekend.

PurplePidjin · 23/02/2014 10:46

well done Flouncy it sounds like you had a much better night than usual?

r woke at 7 for calpol 11 with a dirty nappy and 2:30 for the he'll of it. up at 6:30 for the day. i was expecting it to be much much worse though, and he's down for his nap fine now. i just need to heterosexual over my issues with staying in that bed and room - the week dp was the worst of my life.

PurplePidjin · 23/02/2014 10:47

*dp was in hospital

Sophiathesnowfairy · 23/02/2014 11:20

I realise it must be hard pp and bring back a lot of memories! but I am wondering how you will heterosexual over them? Confused how long are you at your MILs for?

Sophiathesnowfairy · 23/02/2014 11:23

eliza really sounds like camping out! I too would go for flea powder, quick smart.

I couldn't do without my tumble dryer. I am quite selective over what I put in as I do believe things shrink over time, so it is limited to towels, bedding , socks, boys vest and pants and sleep suits now I know they will not have to do another baby! Everything else goes on the airer or the line in dry/windy weather.

PetiteRaleuse · 23/02/2014 11:36

The aquarium was shite and overpriced. Had to pay for DD1 as they didn't believe she was under 3 Hmm Took about 15 minutes to walk round.

Went into the pool/skating rink next door afterwards just to look and there was an ice hockey match on so we slipped in and watched 15 minutes which DD1 was v impressed at.

On way home now. DD1 has added ice skating to her list of things she wants to do (along with riding and swimming).

fatima sorry to hear you are ill. Flowers

FatimaLovesBread · 23/02/2014 12:06

Thanks *PR& Thanks Just want it to sod off now, fed up of feeling poo and sorry for myself now

Well done flouncy

Passmethecrisps · 23/02/2014 12:07

I should be ironing but aging pussy has decided nowhere will do but my knee. Oh the hardship!

ValiumQueen · 23/02/2014 12:07

How can they not believe you PR? Crazy.

I too am intrigued by the heterosexual comment.

ValiumQueen · 23/02/2014 12:09

We have a new dryer. DH went out and got one. I could not do without one at the moment but when this one goes pop, we will do without. We have a 3 year cover on it so should do until J is almost at school.

ValiumQueen · 23/02/2014 12:10

It was on pretty much constantly when J was vomming pretty much constantly.

Passmethecrisps · 23/02/2014 12:12

I wondered that too about not believing her age. We had lunch somewhere recently where all children under 2 eat for free. But you could order steak off the menu for them. We ordered P a sandwich and the lady barely looked at p.

Don't know where our local aquarium is. Loch Lomond?

Hope you feel better soon fatima.

Staying in that room must be pretty tough pp. I remember you mentioning it before - hard memories

Passmethecrisps · 23/02/2014 12:13

We have a washer dryer which is fine but I miss my standard dryer which we left in our flat. No room for it here

ValiumQueen · 23/02/2014 12:16

We usually have the washer and dryer on at the same time so a combined one would be no use. Thankfully we have the room.

I want to move. There is a job in Glasgow I would like. We cannot afford to move yet.

ValiumQueen · 23/02/2014 12:17

I could commute to Glasgow but would like to move anyway. I do not like living in a new build. I want a house with character.

StormyIsles · 23/02/2014 12:46

I only have a washing machine in my new house. It might be a washer dryer, not sure, but if not then I'm going to have to buy a dryer. As well as a new computer (essential for work). and probably a new tv as the arsehole is trying to lay claim to that. Fml, I've only just cleared the credit card. Hmm the dryer may have to wait.

And he's keeping the dog. Turned out the landlady isn't okay with me having him there. Fucking hell.

I'm in a shit mood. Will quietly slink back to packing boxes..

ValiumQueen · 23/02/2014 13:15

With just you and M you will manage fine with no dryer Stormy. We did when we just had one, even with cloth nappies.
