Awake again.... It's hard!

flouncymcflouncerson · 22/02/2014 23:23

On a ten minute wait just now but keep keeps going quiet intermittently....

TheDetective · 22/02/2014 23:28

Keep going! Don't look back! It's so worth it when it finally clicks!

Can anyone help me pick a dress and accessorise it? I have a 40th in 2 weeks and it's my colleagues party. I need to look good!

TheDetective · 22/02/2014 23:30

Flouncy I struggled with that bit - when they kept going quiet. I wasn't sure what to do. He kept being quiet at the point I would go in. Then start again. I decided to not go in, as it would disturb him more and possibly distress more.

He went to sleep - and slept after that.

GTbaby · 22/02/2014 23:50

I have the insomnia song in my head. Not a good dong to have. I can just hear the trance background music on my head.

flouncymcflouncerson · 23/02/2014 00:16

He stopped just as I was at the door as you predicted det sorry I don't go in as I figured you were right. He's crying again tho.... Stopping every few seconds for a pause. Got timer set for ten mins. It's going to be a long night Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad

flouncymcflouncerson · 23/02/2014 00:17

And I like the first dress Grin

flouncymcflouncerson · 23/02/2014 00:18

If he goes quiet for a few minutes then starts crying again do I start timer again or continue from where I was.... So for example stops crying at minute 3 but starts at minute 6...do I still go in at 10 or start from scratch at minute 6.... It's so confusing!

TheDetective · 23/02/2014 00:23

I know, I really wasn't sure. I winged it. I started the count again after he was quiet for than a minute.

No idea if this is right. But it did work. :)

Find me some shoes and bag and what not please Grin.

flouncymcflouncerson · 23/02/2014 04:58

Oh gosh. The screaming seems so much worse at 5am Sad Sad Sad and what's worse is Dh is sleeping and snoring through it!

Lily311 · 23/02/2014 05:12

Awful night here, I'm guessing teeth. I ended up giving her calpol at one point during the night, she just kept screaming. Poor baby.

No plans for today, will take it easy. Probably won't see another grown up all day.

flouncymcflouncerson · 23/02/2014 05:45

Oh dear lily. Sorry to see you here. I'm still up.... J keeps falling silent for a few mins then the crying starts again. I'm not sure whether I'm meant to reset the clock or not!

flouncymcflouncerson · 23/02/2014 06:54

Still here. We had a 45 minute respite. 8am shall be morning and I'll send Dh up with him. Usually 7am would be an ok morning time but that is assuming people slept!

ValiumQueen · 23/02/2014 07:25

Morning all Smile sorry for crap nights. J was not too bad waking only twice.

ChasingDaisy · 23/02/2014 07:37

(((Lily)))

Passmethecrisps · 23/02/2014 08:21

Morning.

One night done flouncy. I really hope it's a step closer.

Sorry for bad night lily. We are having a chill day as well I think thanks to bloody molars.

Those dresses are amazing det. The first one is nice. Not sure about the last one as there seems to be two different dresses in the pic. I think you should be looking for quite high heels. Not sure though.

Love that song gt! Maybe not in the early hours though.

Qq - I know teething can put babies off food but would it make them gag and spit food back out? P seems to be having such trouble eating. She is currently lounging on the floor using her dad's legs as a back rest. She is never this still.

StuntNun · 23/02/2014 08:32

Well done Flouncy the first night is the hardest so fingers crossed tonight will be easier for you and J. He is learning how to settle himself and I'm sure he will be much happier being able to do that than having to call for you every time.

We had an awful night last night and saw every hour. The wind outside, teeth, sore tummy, who knows?

I'm meeting an old school friend today that I haven't seen since 1992 when we were 16. Any suggestions for what to say to him apart from "So what have you been doing for the past 20 years?"

Morning all. Went to bed v late as was working on a translation but the girls slept well. We all have minor colds but nevermind. We were going to go to the zoo today but we've decided to wait as it is so expensive and we want to buy annual passes for me, DH and DD1 once she turns 3. Which will be a lot to pay out at once but costs the same as four trips. That's worth it right? We went twice last year but wouod have gone more if it wasn't so bloody expensive.

We have a smaller and much cheaper zoo nearby but it's a bit shite and closed a lot.

Passmethecrisps · 23/02/2014 08:40

Get a pass pr! We have one each for the safari park and I have no doubt we will get one for Edinburgh zoo this year as well now that p us old enough to know what she is seeing of a sort. I think out passes took 6 visits to pay back.

PetiteRaleuse · 23/02/2014 09:10

Am going to wait a month and go then and buy a pass. It's too cold today and I don't have an ID photo. Plus it is a lot of money to fork out without planning for.

We're going to go to the aquarium instead.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 23/02/2014 09:10

stunt have a great day.

The dresses all look lovely det defo stilettos and maybe a choker of some kind.

Hope you have a nice chilled Sunday lily

DH got the boys and took them out for breakfast, they have just returned. O has on a white long sleeved vest and dungarees, vaguely reminiscent of Onslow in keeping up appearances. Hmm

Sophiathesnowfairy · 23/02/2014 09:11

Aquarium was brilliant at half term pr and I took DS1 on his owna few weeks ago he loved it.

Lily311 · 23/02/2014 09:22

We have a pass at the local zoo. Worth every penny. Can't wait for good weather, we will be there every week.

She is definitely teething, keeps biting her t shirt and her soft toys.
