Flouncy if all other issues are resolved then cc it is. Google ferberizing or Dr Ferber - he invented it and it's interesting reading Smile

r is asleep. in the travel cot. in mil's spare room!!! Grin

Passmethecrisps · 22/02/2014 19:44

Evening lovelies.

P has become a tantrum throwing toddler. Fucking hell she can be hard work. She also has two molars partially through so is off almost all food so has barely eaten all day. Nobs.

She did, however, master saying "mummy" which was fab. It did soften the irritation of her grabbing food, gagging then spitting it all back out again.

I am very impressed with all the shag action going on here!

I have nothing to add flouncy apart from the very best of luck and know I have everything crossed for you all.

Passmethecrisps · 22/02/2014 19:53

Oh! And I bought my very first pair of skinny jeans today. This will inevitably mean that the several years long fashion dad will end tomorrow.

TheDetective · 22/02/2014 20:21

From a baby that would 'cry up' CC worked like a dream here. It feels horrible, but the end result is a much happier family. It's worth a try. As long as you can be consistent with it.

Pass O has been having tantrums as long as I can remember! GRR! So frustrating!!

Having a day off the diet. Scoffing Krispy Kremes. Box of 12. Got to be gone tonight. What a shame. Blush Grin.

YellowWellies · 22/02/2014 20:40

Good luck Flouncey I think Stunt's advice is spot on. Resolve any possible underlying issues then try CC. All I can think of is that there's an intolerance or meds issue causing sleeplessness If Jonas has too much soy we see him every 2 hours at night and he won't sleep til gone 10. I know J isn't allergic to soy but maybe he's intolerant? What meds dose is he on? Jonas is 19.5lb and on 9ml twice daily of omeperazole. His sleep goes to utter shit at anything less than 1.5 mg / kg.

Fingers crossed for you all. I really hope that if you and your DH focus on it this week then if he keeps it up while you're in Mexico you could come back to sleep - in your own bed and a happy sleeping J. I do hope so xxxx

flouncymcflouncerson · 22/02/2014 20:48

Cot building has been done and we will be doing controlled crying. Later bedtime than planned but had to make emergency trip to b and Q the last issues with his room being a frigging mess.

Wish me luck!!

YellowWellies · 22/02/2014 20:54

Good luck sweetheart!

We helped my sister move into her new house today. I'm so happy she has a fresh start and a lovely wee space to build a new life for her and the kids in. Her new house is just near the coastal path so I walked there with the off road buggy and Betsy whilst DH and our cousin lugged boxes and her ex took their kids out. I got the good deal - was a lovely walk with lots of cheery spring bulbs.

We also picked the beam, hearth etc for the wood burner today. We get the quotes back on Monday for installation and flue lining. Please be under £3k.... Confused

BigPigLittlePig · 22/02/2014 21:01

I'm not sure but I think pussypig is brewing something expensive Confused . Please make my instincts be wrong.

Good luck Flouncy, lord knows it's about time you got some sleep.

YW, sounds lovely. Glad your sister is all moved in.

Pidj Grin

Passmethecrisps · 22/02/2014 21:11

Is pussypig poorly? Aging pussy is turning into an expensive beast having cost us very little over the years. Poor things

Sophiathesnowfairy · 22/02/2014 21:18

pass we have a tanturmy stereotypical toddler that I think is largely molar related. He is eating reasonably well particularly the wild and whippy given to him by great Aunty silver today and a BBQ flavoured rice cake he pinched, ran off with and sat in daddy's place in The sofa to devour but he is crying ALOT and getting particularly worked up over About not being allowed the broom, the mop, entrance to the fridge and matches because he does actually try and light them

Really lovely evening with piri piri chicken from the hairy dieters yellow book, a bottle of wine and a good film with DH. I now resolve to turn off I pad and finish my book. Because.....and you will it believe it,......I won a free book from the mumsnet book club and I can' taw it to get stuck in. I never wi. Stuff so this is totes amazeballs.

Good luck if you decide to go cc flouncy xxx

BigPigLittlePig · 22/02/2014 21:19

He is behaving like he did when he had his bowel obstruction. Less pukey, less miserable, so far. but won't eat, even treats. Shall keep a vair close eye on him.

GTbaby · 22/02/2014 21:22

Argh. Trying to catch up.

Yw b det I have a oyster max. Love it. I rember thinking this post when I read before but can't remember posting. So apologies if repeating.

I can't wait. Another 2weeks. I can get back to my nice bed time routine with harjun that isn't interrupted. And I can start a soothing routine with ashvyn to tackle his multiple wakings.
Will help that the tv is not extra loud until 9.30 everyday.

Had A MASSIVE ROW with mil. She is driving me nuts. And I said quite plainly, I can not put up with it any more. Fh did rake my side and stick up for me. However moving out we are not.

Lily. Woop woop for NI number finally.

Pikz · 22/02/2014 21:26

Good luck flouncey .

Hoping the other 8 teeth just appear tonight and teething hell can be over

flouncymcflouncerson · 22/02/2014 21:47

One check in at 2.5mins then stopped crying after total of 7 mins!!

He's only been fucking asleep for 45mins!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

Also meant to say earlier the guy in b&q was helping me and was hilarious. He ended up opening packets for me and giving me what I needed free. Also he said 'I'll just give you a fucking' he was going to say screw but stopped after he really realised.... Twas hilarious! He then called me a pretty lady... And muchos innuendo ensued about the size of the screw I required! ShockWink

Passmethecrisps · 22/02/2014 21:49

You saucy mare!

Elizadoesdolittle · 22/02/2014 22:00

That's great news flouncy. Hope he continues to sleep tonight.

The people who used to live here had 7 cats and they pretty much had the run of the place. I've managed to get rid of the smell of cat piss (just) but DD1 woke up this morning and has flea bites. Now her room has no carpet and her bed has obviously come from my old house but I guess the bastard fleas could have come from anywhere. So how the fuck do I get rid of them? Bastard cats. Sorry to fellow quiche cats. I'm sure they're lovely (bplp hope piggypuss is ok) but fuck me these owners were irresponsible arse holes.

Passmethecrisps · 22/02/2014 22:08

I think you can get powder eliza. Dust in behind radiators and anywhere dusty and warm. Poor wee soul. Flea bites are horrid

Elizadoesdolittle · 22/02/2014 22:16

Thanks pass. I'll head to the vets on Monday as assume they will sell it there. Think I'll get a professional cleaning company in now that we have unpacked boxes and got liveable areas. I've cleaned so much this week I'm just so bored of doing it!

PurplePidjin · 22/02/2014 22:16

thanks bp was starting to think i was ninja posting, only visible to myself! hope pussypig is ok Thanks

if you can evacuate for a few hours' flea bombs are good. put them up high ish because the stuff sinks. then spray with aerosol stuff and vacuum thoroughly. pita but worth it - pidjpuss has had them twice in 8 years (house cat by her choice) both when she's felt adventurous and wandered off the parapet Grin

BigPigLittlePig · 22/02/2014 22:24

Fleas. Vacuum once to liven the fuckers up. Then use your weapon of choice. For actual infestations have found supermarket stuff to be a total waste of money, we use prescription strength stuff from the vets. boil wash what you can. Then vacuum again. don't forget the skirting boards.

Voice of bitter experience here.

I am told that a saucer of water with a tealight in the middle, in a dark room, will reveal the magnitude of the problem, as fleas commit a watery suicide. I was not brave enough for that.

StuntNun · 22/02/2014 22:31

< Makes note to go and buy flea treatment for StuntPussy >

Glad the first bit of CC went well Flouncy. A later than normal bedtime was a good idea to ensure J was tired already. My J has already been up once already bliddy dog tap tap tapping across the floors. Hopefully your J will sleep well tonight but if you do have any issues I suggest you concentrate on using CC to get him to sleep at bedtime and don't worry so much about how you resettle him in the night. I reckon once they learn how to settle themselves at bedtime then the nighttime awakenings follow on naturally. Fingers and toes are all crossed for you and wee J. Smile

OP posts:
BigPigLittlePig · 22/02/2014 22:36

That's true, Stunt. Once F started falling asleep on her own at bedtime, nights did become marginally better.

The tap is dripping. Me and pussypig are curled up on a freshly laundered bed. The taps annoying, but annoying enough to move for??

flouncymcflouncerson · 22/02/2014 23:02

Well... He slept for just under 2 hours. Woke crying and I waited 2.5 mins to go in. Then lay him down and said it's bedtime mummy loves you. He cried another few minutes but appears asleep again.... Shock Shock so far so good.... But I'm sure this happened last time we tried. I'm giving it my all this time!

BigPigLittlePig · 22/02/2014 23:05

I think it's supposed to get a bit worse when they clock on to the fact that you really mean business, Flouncy. Some of the times with F it has been tricky, other times, heaps easier. But you're jetting off in no time - so even if he's a wee sod, just keep that holiday in mind!

TheDetective · 22/02/2014 23:16

Flouncy that is exactly what I say to O. Every time I put him down. Then I run out as fast as my little legs will carry me Grin.

We're going to have to get a new monitor. DS1 just woke up to O's cries that's never ever happened Hmm and had to come downstairs to tell us Blush. We're watching TV, but it isn't that loud Confused.

O just wanted his cloth. Even though it was next to him Hmm. He did his Beavis and Butthead laugh and went back to sleep...
