OBEM reminds me of being preggers with Jonas - am going to be v nostalgic watching it updiffed again, just wish I could scoff chocolate whilst watching it this time. I hope DH isn't too traumatised as I know the ventouse delivery had him Shock Shock Shock Shock .

Jonas has been v clingy today but lovely. Every time I leave the room he follows me arms outstretched for a cuddle shouting "Mama!". He's addicted to the Snail and the Whale - we've read it half a dozen times today. And every time we have to say "miaow" to the picture of the cat on the dockside and "brrrm" to the speedboats. Every time anyone left the door today - even the postman he's got inconsolably sad and has to be on the windowsill banging on the glass shouting "bybyeeeeeeee". He's had a real cognitive leap in the last fortnight. He has figured how to tell me what he needs without always having to cry - today he wanted a nap so simply brought his cuddly blanket to me and made his "boob" noise. I'm really enjoying him even if he is a bit of a limpet!

J has this past week started going around to everyone giving kisses and waving ta ta after his bedtime bottle. He then grabs Daddy's hand and leads him to the stairs, waving ta ta and blowing kisses to us Smile Beyond cute.

Sophia does the school send copies of all letters and reports to you?

I was at a conference today and nearly made the girl next to me choke. I do not know her very well, but we got chatting today. We managed to source two lollypops during a break and were happily sucking away. I asked her what flavour she had, and she said aniseed. I said eugh. She said it was not her first choice. I said yeah, there are worse things to suck

BigPigLittlePig · 21/02/2014 20:40

VQ you are naughty Wink

F has a particular bedtime kiss order. Dog. Sister. Cat (involves hunt around house). Daddy. Mummy x5. She will not give kisses other than in that order.

Passmethecrisps · 21/02/2014 20:54

Love the leaps!

The other day DH and p were leaving for the CM before me which is unsual. P got all excited at seeing the door open and headed out then spun back, pushed DH out the way before running to me to give me a big hug before waving and leaving. It really struck me as a 'big girl' thing to do

Sophiathesnowfairy · 21/02/2014 21:06

No they don't vq and he used to photocopy them and give them to me but last year he got all defensive when I asked to see them. Do 'to know what that was about. Could I get them to send them to me too?

Passmethecrisps · 21/02/2014 21:08

That 's your right sophia!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 21/02/2014 21:08

As an aside, I used to arrange parent meetings with their individual teachers once or twice a year when I was in England. When we first split up and I was really extremely low the teachers were very supportive that I was doing the right thing leaving them In their comfort zone and I have always had a good relationship with the school.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 21/02/2014 21:09

I will approach the issue again this summer term.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 21/02/2014 21:09

I am waiting sexily In bed btw.

Passmethecrisps · 21/02/2014 21:10

Most schools now will have a system where several addresses can be stored for sending reports and so on. You should also get copies of any other communications if you want to push it. You have equal parental rights so he has no right to stop you.

ValiumQueen · 21/02/2014 21:25

Sophia Pass is right (obviously) you have as much right as their dad to any communication from the school. Get in touch with them and ensure they have the details in their system. He does not need to even know. You are their mum.

ChasingDaisy · 21/02/2014 21:28

Today O had started giving me cuddles when I ask for them Smile he puts his arms round me and lays his head on my shoulder. So lovely. And his dancing has me in hysterics. Every time a song comes on he claps his hands and swings his upper body around like a lunatic - flapping his arms.

ValiumQueen · 21/02/2014 21:28

Have you got any ice cubes in the house Sophia? A nice little trick is having an ice cube nearby and sneaking it into the play at some point.

ValiumQueen · 21/02/2014 21:30

Good Chasing Smile I am glad you are getting proper cuddles from the one little man who will always love you no matter what x

flouncymcflouncerson · 21/02/2014 21:42

I'm back from my blissful day. Had a blast and even sneaked in a film and dinner and cocktails and a flirt with a waiter!

And vq love it. I just love it!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 21/02/2014 21:42

Ok. I am going to show my naievity now. Do you put the ice cube I. Your mouth? Does that feel good does it?

BigPigLittlePig · 21/02/2014 22:06

My Friday night plans have been scuppered. Am instead having a sleep over on Fs bedroom floor with miss fartypants herself. Poor neglected dh is off to bed with the cat.

ValiumQueen · 21/02/2014 22:14

Yes Sophia. It is an interesting interjection after warmth and results in a reaction Grin

ValiumQueen · 21/02/2014 22:15

So I have heard Blush

ValiumQueen · 21/02/2014 22:17

Mouthwash is quite good too Grin

flouncymcflouncerson · 21/02/2014 22:25
