Oh jeeze. Yeah rip it up and throw it away. Babies develop at their own little rates.

Now I want a chocolate chip cookie

Calf has only recently been pointing reliably! Until a few months ago he'd make a jabbing motion in the very vague general vicinity of what he wanted! He could tell us what he was referring to long before he'd point accurately!

Runt isn't waving, clapping, pointing or solving complex quadratic equations yet... Do we need to worry? Wink

Lorelei353 · 05/04/2014 19:44

Definitely no pointing here. Clapping started in the last two days.

Bizarre. Pointing has begun! Bpear pointed at himself in the mirror last night and then at horses on TV this morning. I did show him pointing throughout the day so I guess he just caught on. They really are like little sponges aren't they...selective sponges too as he's still not saying dada or mama Wink Anyway, I'm pretty shocked about this NHS list! I bet some mums take it seriously and really worry if their LO isn't completing half the stuff. It does say a blurb about all children developing differently but it doesn't explain that a child may not be waving yet because all his energy is focused on standing. Really poorly presented. Would I be worried if bpear couldn't do the majority on the list? Yes! As a 1st time mummy I would! As it is I hate the emails that come in from bounty, what to expect etc saying he should be doodling, drooling and have a mouthful of teeth Grin I take them with a pinch of salt because I know it's mainly marketing fillers so I start clicking on links to buy crap but a letter from the NHS addressed to the guardians...well that's not one to ignore.

peardrop2 · 06/04/2014 09:31

Frus ~ respect wrist tap? Cute Smile

AGnu · 06/04/2014 09:50

Blush I take it all back... Since my last post Runt has bashed his fists together clapped, waved & copied me blowing his hair! Now for the quadratic equations... Wink

AGnu · 06/04/2014 09:53

Both Runt & bpear must be able to read. It's the only explanation for them starting to do these things just as we're discussing them. pear we have little geniuses! Grin

Agnu!! I always knew bpear was a genius hahah Grin Wink

Right, 1st birthday present brought. Sandpit accessories Smile yay! Ummmm I may be mistaking birthday present buying with stocking fillers?! I enjoyed Father Christmas shopping a lot. I miss it Blush

So, while we were in the toy shop we had the opportunity to test out that wooden baby walker I was telling you about the other week. Bpear walked like 10 steps. Was pretty cool. DH now says we need to buy it. I'm still not sure. Could this be his birthday present? His face lit up he was super excited that he could walk. My mum keeps saying something about bandy legs. Need to look that one up!

peardrop2 · 06/04/2014 15:51

Bandy legs? That's a first. He's not even 1 year old yet, he's got time for his legs to grow and develop into proper walking legs. Hmm

I agree with you, buying toys is so fun! It's like you get to pick out all the toys you never had when you where little. until you start getting hounded to buy dinosaurs and stupid monster trucks

Frus THAT is hilarious! I'm gonna teach M that one! Put her in a room and let her entertain. Grin

DH is currently having kittens watching the LFC/WHU game. He's up, he's down, he's head in the hands, he's ripping paper, LOL. I'm having more fun just watching him than actually watching the match!

Lorelei353 · 06/04/2014 19:43

Ha ha bring My dh was the same. I was watching the Toulon vs Leinster Rugby match (which Leinster lost) Sad

peardrop2 · 06/04/2014 20:34

Walker purchased. Right. Now I need to sell £40 worth of plastic goods crap we don't use Wink Perhaps the unused Avent bottles would be a good start!

peardrop2 · 07/04/2014 10:27

Oh lord it's going to be another snotty day Hmm What happens if your child is in nursery? He's been so difficult for 7 days now. Surely the nursery wouldn't put up with this monkey?

kittykatsforever · 07/04/2014 11:55

They do put up with it pair, most all children in our nursery go in with colds, it's inly if they have a high temp or are sick or have like the pox that you do t send them in, kitten is as miserable as sin and has been for the past week to the point I was struggling to remember had she ever been happy?!? nursery said when I picked her up fri that " it may take a her a while to settle in" meaning " she's been a chore today and made our lives hard lol
I did say she's not always this miserable lol

kittykatsforever · 07/04/2014 11:55

Pair - you've turned into a twin not a fruit Grin

Why is he in nursery if you're at home?

peardrop2 · 07/04/2014 12:58

Plus it's good for consistency for them to go every day they're supposed to be there.

M has been very sweet today. Must have been all the vitamin d she got whilst outside yesterday! 50's! FINALLY.
