yawn.

kittykatsforever · 31/03/2014 13:49

I'm sad Hmm I start work again on Wednesday! I'm going to miss my likklies so so much, why isn't it compulsory to stay off work till they are at school?
The clock change couldn't come at a worse time really we need them to get up early but kitten woke at 7:20 and tiger 8:05 Shock

peardrop2 · 31/03/2014 15:43

Oh that is sad kitty Hmm

I was putting a lot of hope on bpear sleeping longer. We got an extra 30min so he now wakes at 6:30 instead of 6 whoopie doopy do Smile

Kitty ~ surely u can wake them up?

bringonthetrumpets · 31/03/2014 17:31

Yawn. Sniff, sniff. Cough, cough. That's about it for me.

Took the older two to the doc this morning. They got jabs and then we got donuts. That's really been the extent of my life for the past two weeks. Illness, doctor, donuts.

Hope everyone else is better!

Mmmmm doughnuts! Yum! I remember getting freshly made doughnuts at the market every Saturday morning with my best friend as a teenager. It was like eating warm, sugary heaven! Grin

Yes, well... that's sort of what I did. It would actually have been more genius if I'd cut ones off an old nursing bra that doesn't fit & used them... Instead I saw some bikini clips in Hobbycraft for 50p so used one of those & a little bit of elastic to hold it together! It's not quite as easy to use as a proper clip but I managed my first one-handed reassembly while out today! You can buy the proper nursing clips on eBay. I can't take all the credit though - it was suggested to me by someone on MN ages ago! Smile

Yes pear we can wake them, I just don't like doing that, it feels so mean!
There's no nursing bras here, I'm back in padded Grin

peardrop2 · 01/04/2014 10:28

Well they might revert kitty? Bpear was up at 6 this morning but he does have a cold Hmm

Sun hats. How on earth do you teach them to keep them on??

pear Duct tape. Grin

Maybe we should invent 'hat-ons'.... Like sock-ons for your head...

Gap socks are the best. They never come off. I'm never buying any other brand for socks Smile

peardrop2 · 01/04/2014 20:42

I should say not all the gap socks. Only the ones with ribs around the ankle

bringonthetrumpets · 01/04/2014 20:48

We are completely unable to keep socks on here too. M just usually has freezing cold toes with cozy babylegs on. Grin She doesn't seem to mind! She's always ripping her hats off. We just keep reapplying until the novelty wears off of what she can do and then she leaves it alone.

Currently "working" from home and am on hold with an insurance company. Oh the joys of working from home! Terrified M will wake up whilst I'm talking with someone!

Now I'm the one with the ear problems. Frus, how did you get your ears to clear? Did you have to go get antibx?

Oooo... Balaclavas - that's a great idea! I shall get to work designing a balaclava-like hat-on out of sock-on material. Perhaps it could have it's own hats which attach to the top - more lucrative if we can keep releasing new ranges of hats! Wink

bringonthetrumpets · 02/04/2014 13:26

Yuck. That doesn't sound good, Frus. Hope it wasn't too painful.

Bwahaha! I put some "skinny jeans" on M and she's having troubles crawling in them. It's really funny to watch!

Went to the doctor today for my thumb tendon problem. Told me to take Ibroprofen 3x a day. I made her look up the effects on breast feeding and she said it was OK. Apparently the waiting list for physio is too long and the steroid injections are very painful Hmm

Lor ~ she suggested a stress ball. Just found this company through Amazon. Can't decide which one to get but it looks good. Love a stress ball. Anyway, thought you might be interested. I think the stress ball is half the price on Amazon! www.betterlifehealthcare.com/m/categories.html?subID=647

peardrop2 · 02/04/2014 19:54

Not sure wether the Neo ball or foam would be better. What do you think Lor? Think I'll try Medium strength.

Lorelei353 · 02/04/2014 20:27

My ohysio told me to use stress balls too. I had two that I'd bought for use in labour so used them for this. They were foam ones like this one, but blue - www.amazon.co.uk/Aidapt-Foam-Squeeze-Ball-Green/dp/B00EIGCQGS/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1396466715&sr=8-3-fkmr0&keywords=Adaipt+foam+squeeze+ball+blue

Lorelei353 · 02/04/2014 20:31

It's probably good to have ones that offer a decent bit of resistance so you can work hard. Those ones you got look good. I nearly bought them for labour! I found the elastic band exercise really good.

peardrop2 · 02/04/2014 21:17

I need to look at your exercise suggestions again Lor as I didn't really understand but I have copied them onto my notepad Blush
