Hop we've just been out for a walk all housework can sod off today except maybe the dishes I hate piles of dishes dh too tight to use our dishwasher or tumble drier they might get used once a month if that.

Swimming was cancelled today as pool was too cold got a voicemail just as got out of the car humph!! In the end we went to the library rhyme time session we used to go to every week before it clashed with swimming. Just been out for a walk to dr to arrange induction appt was meant to go Friday bit forgot all about it with what's been going on. Thought would be a good walk for DS only takes 5 minutes and is next to a common he can run round of course he decided he had to be carried and even for only 5 mins he's bloody heavy. Was bloody shut in the end Angry so swung past shop bought tonight's winning lottery ticket (I can dream) octonaut Mag for DS with inflatable squid which he's currently kissing and a monsters UNi choc thing he currently loves mike .......and room on the broom he looks for the witch out the windows.

I was up by 6 this morning combination of busy mind, start of a cold and the monthly curse ended up working for an hour before the men of the house got up, have done 3 work calls today too just so busy!! We staying at PIL tonight they cooking for us then we going for drinks with friends locally don't really want to but must take the opportunity when one is presented.

I've had two disappointing muller products today for breakfast I had a choc and caramel muller rice lunch I had a deluxe corner Mississippi mud pie flavour just was overwhelmingly coffee tasting are such pies usually v coffee flavoured? Obviously such healthy eating was due to need to do the weekly shop Grin

We're having curry tonight, and fish and chips tomorrow. Our excuse is we don't have an oven/hob Grin

Today was exciting...one of his duties in his new role is that DP has to go out as the second person when someone is 'sectioned', and when that happens late on I've got to drop everything and go get DS from nursery...which involves bus into town, train back to where we used to live, walk up to nursery, dragging DS back down to the station and train back to new town.
DP amazingly finished at the hospital and was able to collect us from the station before we got on the train home, but a bit stressful as this was the first time we'd done it.

What a run of luck figgy, can't believe everything was cancelled on you! Got a lovely image of your DS snogging a squid though, they are funny Grin

I am impressed with your dedication to love of dishwashers Oi!

Tomorrow is a walk into town for bits, then shopping for bookcases in the afternoon- Sunday we've got friends round, so nice and chilled.

Hurrah for the weekend!
One of the idiot bosses was in the office today, and had said he'd spend some time with me. He didn't. Which is probably for the best, AF doesn't make me the most professionally non-emotive person...
Me n the Boi went swimming this afternoon. We did a course of PuddkeDucks when he was 6-18wks old, then we had a week in the pool on holiday last September. So I didn't know how he'd like it, but he loved it and was really quite brave. We had loads of fun together, and, bonus, I checked out the website of a nearby hotel (they have warm pools and no people) and they had a voucher for a free session. Should have cost me £9, but I had a voucher and the Boi was free!!
I'll have to look for other offers around, our Friday afternoons could be pretty cheap! Grin

I have survived facepainting half a million small children at the school disco. It was all going fine until some parents decided to jump the queue causing other parents to complain loudly at them, us, and everyone actually volunteering to run the event Hmm. The remaining small children queued very nicely...sigh. It was rather fun apart from that. Much glitter was had. It's fun facepainting.

Small likes trundling around with a baby in the seat f his trolley, unless he has the iPad, which also neatly fits in the seat. Silly boy:)

DD has got chicken pox. Just waiting for DS to get it too now. She's fine so far, not suffering at all. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

DS is also a fan of baby dolls. Had to buy him his own one because he kept fighting with DD over hers.

dS has a ready supply of his sister's dollies. The gleam in his eye when he sees a baby buggy at nursery is rather sweet. And we have turf wars over The little rocking crib....

DS is also a fan of his dolly. Poor thing gets a bit of a rough ride in it's pushchair though. We went to a free museum today, even had an indoor space for you to eat your own picnic. Was fun, DS reached the end if his good behavior quota just as we were leaving and there were a few screaming NO MUMMY! Moments. He's been a bit of a drama llama a'll evening though, but enjoyed watching the women's ski moguls final. He conked out on the third page of Room On The Broom.

Anyone doing anything fun tonight?

I've never seen Boi with a doll. There must be some at the cm's... He does like to be the lady though. He is often "penny" to my "station officer Steele", and today he was Nala and I was Simba. That's the way we roll. Grin
I have got us tickets to see The Gruffalo at the Lowry at Easter.and I got DH n me tix for a 1 day international cricket match in may, for his valentine's surprise. I got Ma n pa tix too, for pa's birthday. The boys will love it. I'm sure mum and I will enjoy it too. (I don't watch or understand cricket. But t'will be a nice day out.)

Small has developed a habit of presenting me with a body part, declaring "urt" and expecting it to be kissed better. This evening I have cured his ear, thigh and back. Silly wally.

Faffin · 08/02/2014 21:04

Today from DS I had "hurt mine bum. Kiss it mummy". He then bent over and proffered said bum for me to kiss better!

Pox seem to be mild for DD so far, hoping it stays that way, although I wouldn't have minded her just wanting to flop on the sofa all day. She seemed to have more energy than normal today but was confined to the house. It's going to be a long week methinks.

Oi cricket is a great day out although 20/20 Is best as is only a few hours I assume your going to a 40 over game?

I want to take DS to peppa pig live this year he sat all through panto so I'm sure he'd be ok. Must get tickets sorted.

Our friends didn't leave until 7 so in end dh went for fish and chips while I put DS to bed, off to bed myself in a minute 2 early wake ups and too much booze last night has caught up with me royally!!!

Small apparently rummaged in his nappy and went to give tribute to Elder with a "poo, look!" earlier. She was not amused by his offering:o

Pox is evil. Ted had it January last year. Nasty nasty. Hope it stays mild. Piriton can help with the itching:)

I played in a concert Hopâ?¦ ! Really enjoyed it. Ages since I've done a concert. I was depping as the seconds section was short so only saw two of the pieces at the rehearsal this afternoon. Borodin 2, overture to a Mussorgsky opera (both new to me, well, new to play, have listened to them before of course) and Scheherazade (one of my faves). Really fun!

Report
mopsytop · 08/02/2014 22:12

Sorry I meant I only saw two of the pieces for the first time but I have played Scheherazade a number of times. My sight reading skills weren't too dreadful given it has been so long since I played but I must get back into proper practice...

Heh- don't get struck down by some righteous lightening figster. I'm amazed I don't burst into flames as soon as I step in Grin

Not been a bad weekend, got housework done yesterday, though felt grim and went off to bed early after one drink and the last Harry Potter film Hmm We've had DP's friend from work over, with wife and baby, and so had a lovely afternoon out in town, in Wagamama's, and then we took DS to the park.

DP got the hoovering done, curtain pole up in the spare room, and we have actually got the living room laid out, with all the boxes of books in a line behind the sofa. Tis lovely to have all this space, and DS thinks it's fabulous, he keeps on running laps of the living room and kitchen/diner. Just need to work out what we're going to do re. bookcases: I want proper wood ones, but the oak ones we've seen are sooooo expensive.

How's your DD doing today faffin, hope it's not flared up and is remaining a mild dose- is she scratching at it yet?

Are you going to post a pic of the wonder glasses mopsy?

Off to London tomorrow for a meeting, hoping DP doesn't get called out on a late again.... how's everyone else's week looking?
