Yay yw Thanks Grin

PetiteRaleuse · 13/02/2014 14:04

Yay. Congratulations!

How do you feel now it is sinking in?

StuntNun · 13/02/2014 14:19

Proper congratulations YW, I'm so happy for you and Mr Wellies.

FIL is bringing their 9-week-old puppy round in an hour for me to puppy-sit. They only got him on Sunday. This is going to end in disaster isn't it?

PetiteRaleuse · 13/02/2014 16:04

I hope you are right vq

Am v grateful that DH had the snip snips.

ValiumQueen · 13/02/2014 16:22

There is only one Quiche. The rest are just poor imitations.

StuntNun · 13/02/2014 16:40

Puppy has wee'd once inside, once outside, pooed once inside, run off with a slipper, licked J on the face lots and destroyed the inside of a kitchen roll. My elderly lab is not pleased about this puppy and has stalked off in a huff.

Good luck chasing. Are you going on your own or with somebody?

Why the fuckity fuck have I agreed to work tomorrow night? I'm in from 8.30am to 5.30pm then back at 9.30 until midnight. Regretting it already.

YellowWellies · 13/02/2014 17:17

I actually think I'm just going to stick with you guys. I've not got time for two quiches (and will have even less come autumn) and why go for a pale imitation! Grin

PurplePidjin · 13/02/2014 17:47

YAY YW Thanks IME of this one and the December one, other quiches aren't as busy - I bet they'd love to have an experienced mummy join them

Stunt that sounds tough Sad hopefully if there's a next time, the little 'un will be trained?

PR it's nearly all over

3 at music class today, not great but better than none and really not bad for only my second month!

Grotty afternoon again, his chest is a bit rattly so I'll try and get him to the GP tomorrow for a listen. His temperature spiked briefly a couple of times and he's been very subdued but calpol has it under control, he perked up shortly after I gave him some at 4:30 and ate dinner well. Went straight to sleep with barely a murmur at 5:30, bit early but he's clearly exhausted so am i ffs

YellowWellies · 13/02/2014 20:40

Hope R's feeling better tomorrow Pidj I find there's nothing like booking a GP appointment to miraculously cure the wee buggers.

My playgroup pals were round for tea and a natter today. Was hilarious, we were discussing age gaps when a lovely pal suddenly says "I don't know why 2 year age gaps are so common can you imagine running around after him (indicates Jonas climbing on the TV table trying to summit the TV) and having morning sickness" I was all "Hoho the very idea!!" Blush Blush Blush can't wait to tell folks IRL but she is going to facepalm so bad Grin .

BigPigLittlePig · 13/02/2014 20:43

Haha classic yw. MIL spent ages telling dh and me not to hang around before ttc, as sometimes it can take ages. Me and dh were trying not to snigger, knowing we were having the 12w scan 2 days later. Facepalm much!?

PurplePidjin · 13/02/2014 21:07

I've already had to change his nappy and give him a teething powder, he had calpol at 4:30 so no more till later. I'm going to risk my bath in a bit although it's probably cold by now - the bathroom is next to his bedroom so I run it hot only while I settle him. I topped it up when he was awake at 8 but still haven;t shifted my arse off the sofa Hmm

The day after we got R's bfp was mothering sunday. Took my parents for lunch at a garden centre, and they started making cracks about gooseberry bushes Blush I bought them one in secret and took it round a couple of days later in order to announce the pregnancy!

My gran was best though, her 91st birthday was the day after I was 12 weeks so I bought a Happy Birthday Great Granny card for her and just sat there till the penny dropped :o:o:o

It's a bit cheesy but I really enjoyed planning how to tell people, I love giving presents so I guess it's an extension of that? Hmm

BigPigLittlePig · 13/02/2014 21:35

We did the same here pidj - gave my mum a happy birthday nana card complete with scan photo. Was ace.

Had to wake F up as we had somehow forgotten to give her her omeprazole. She was puzzled then delighted to discover she had been woken for smoothie. Total facepalm.

ValiumQueen · 14/02/2014 02:49

Go the fuck to sleep. Please.

I had an awful dream and woke up swearing. It involved a serial killer. I might need to stop watching Dexter Blush.

My parents received an email after the 12 week scan with the photoes and my dad told me off as they were visiting the week before. Apparently I should have told them than. They were really happy, they wanted me to have children for years.

PetiteRaleuse · 14/02/2014 07:21

Morning quiche.

First and second pregnancies I told family pretty much immediately after my first scan (6/7 weeks). With LO I told DH only. Then I told my sister by mistake at about 7 weeks, then after the 9week scan I told my mum who passed it on to the rest of the family.

Then told the ILs who asked to tell SIL themselves as she may not take it well then kept putting it off til I was 16w. I wasn't able to tell anyone in case someone mentioned it on fb. She can't have kids.

ValiumQueen · 14/02/2014 07:35

When I had just DD1, my cousin went through an entire pregnancy and birth without anyone telling me. It was her third, and people thought I would not take it well. I did not take it well when I met a 3mo baby boy I had no idea existed. I was furious at people being so patronising.

ValiumQueen · 14/02/2014 07:38

Lily my dreams of Dexter never involve anything other than naked naughtiness. Sorry you had a bad dream, but do not blame Dexter Wink

J was up for about 3.5 hours last night. Very refluxy, like he has eaten something he shouldn't. I do not know of anything though.

YellowWellies · 14/02/2014 07:50

Oh crap VQ Sad

Pennie I think its a January conception as AF started on NYE. according to dates that puts me at 7 weeks but I reckon I'm much less due to odd BF cycles. Might not tell the MW that though if there's a chance of getting the 12 week scan twice! Grin
