VQ I hope you have an awesome day. Love a good charity shop rummage.

These DP/DHs need to get it. I had DP moaning about getting up at 6.20 to take L so I could go sit on the m25. He doesn't seem to get that I wasn't exactly going back to bed, no to commute to work on thank duck one nights sleep after a week of zero sleep which he mostly spent asleep in his own bed!

PetiteRaleuse · 10/02/2014 07:59

pikz from next week DH will be doing the breakfast and nursery drop off as I will be leaving the house before 7 every morning. He's dreading it. As am I but for other reasons. I know he will complain all the time.

PetiteRaleuse · 10/02/2014 07:59

VQ have a great day x

Pikz · 10/02/2014 08:25

PR yep and here he only has 3 days a week to do!!

I can imagine your trepidation PR at going back. Remember the grand plan.

PetiteRaleuse · 10/02/2014 08:31

Yes I remember :)

I'll update FB shortly.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 10/02/2014 08:33

Glad you got a nights sleep pikz brings back memories of driving over the m4 on the way to work and thinking am v glad am not going that way! Wink have a great day.

prenjoy this week.

I think I may have finally got the boys cold wich has been threatening for weeks and then not coming to anything.

I had my first culinary disaster yesterday in a v long time. I had spent all day Fri and Sat cooking copious curries for Sat nights curry night with the uncle and aunt in law coming over. So Sun I thought I will use one of those packets things and bung something in the slow cooker. So I did that. I peered in at about 2 pm and thought this looks horrible. So I said to DH I think I might have had a dinner disaster. He said; "I thought the house smelt like poo." Thanks a bunch. So off down the Harbour Bar we went.

The curries ended up awesome though and there is enough left over for us for a private curry night this Sat.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 10/02/2014 08:34

Though you are lucky I nearly actually wrote witch.

StuntNun · 10/02/2014 10:18

Chasing you're dealing with so much at the moment and I'm sorry to hear the handovers from XP are difficult. But fwiw I really think you do your best by O and that is the most important thing for him. He's only little and his means of communication are limited but in no time he will be able to show you more clearly what he's thinking. And yes it may be hard for him to move between parents but it's much less stressful than before and babies are resilient. He has the opportunity to build a good positive relationship with both his parents rather than being in the middle of a family that is emotionally broken. You are coping really well, when I think back to last summer and you seemed quite vulnerable. Now your posts on here and FB are so much more positive and you are taking charge of the direction your life will take. I certainly see a big change in you, all for the better. And what's good for you is good for O too. Keep up the good work and remember we're all rooting for you.

Managed to get everything done in 45 minutes, with a 7yo in tow. Even with the iPad she was giving me a running commentary. I was waiting for her to repeat something I have said about work, so that was a good incentive to be quick Confused if I haven't done it now, then it ain't getting done until next week. I am off!!!!!!! GrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrinGrin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 10/02/2014 10:47

Hi there pennie

Ta pp a little bit of fresh has made me feel better so I think I will drag boys to beach for 30 mins when O gets up.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 10/02/2014 13:56

Air.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 10/02/2014 18:03

Wow, where is everyne this Monday?

Well we ended up being in all day, by the time O woke up it was raining. We made a massive batch of scones for the freezer for when the girls come instead.

I am feeling ok. My snot hasn't increased to monster proportions like it usually does during my annual cold and though I feel under the weather I am functionable. (This is marginally interesting because usually the amount of snot I produce during my annual cold is just ridiculous, I think colds just seem to catch me in the sinus area and the last couple of years this has not happened. Since I have seen a homeopath)

Anyway, I am making a chilli chicken noodle broth for tea, instead of killer circuity aerobics and will have an early night.

I am rambling. Just sat down with a cup of coffee for a chat......to myself. Wink

PetiteRaleuse · 10/02/2014 18:28

Tough afternoon with the toddlers. Snot, eyes full of gunk, constipation. Fun fun fun.

Lily311 · 10/02/2014 18:33

Am here. Busy day doing not much. We had a small disaster when o dropped Brunyo, her comforter in the puddle. My world, that girl can whinge. Glad had a clean one available when we got home.

ValiumQueen · 10/02/2014 18:42

Poor Brunyo.

Had a lovely day with DD1, DB and DM. Absolutely lovely. And my bro gave me £20 to spend on just me! He also gave the girls £20 each. Nothing for J, which I kinda get as he is so small and will not know. I have however decided to spend £10 each on DD2 and DS instead. DD1 was walking around the shops repeatedly saying 'I've got twenty pounds' which would buy quite a lot of drugs in these parts Wink I was scared we would get lynched!

DB bought himself 7 shirts, a wool and cashmere coat that would have cost a fortune new, and six ties. All for £40! He was so chuffed.

I picked up a few bits of clothes for the kids but nothing for myself.

I think I will buy something from Cath Kidston.

PetiteRaleuse · 10/02/2014 18:47

Envy we don't have charity shops over here. I like the idea of cheap clothes and paperbacks.

ValiumQueen · 10/02/2014 18:53

I didn't get short listed. Not surprised. Not really bothered. Just a bit.

ValiumQueen · 10/02/2014 18:54

Move here PR. We have 7 in just the one town.

PetiteRaleuse · 10/02/2014 19:09

I think there are a few in my home town vq I saw them last time I was up there.

Boo to the shortlist. (((Hugs)))

ChasingDaisy · 10/02/2014 19:33

Boo to that VQ WineBiscuit

I have applied for a job this evening. I would be awesome at it (bookings coordinator at the driving school I'm using) but you need to be able to drive. So I have sent them a fairly speculative CV and covering letter. I'm sure nothing will come of it, but it's my first foray into the world of work for almost two years. Eek.
