Hi there mummyxtwo welcome my DS 2 likes to get into the ash bucket at any given opportunity so sounds like he is in good company!

PetiteRaleuse · 07/02/2014 12:49

Welcome mummyxtwo

Well done chasing :)

Isles hitting pinching and scratching is a phase. Quite a long one if DD1 is anything to go by but after a while she will know she can't hit other children/ childminder/ random strangers.

DD1 reserves her violence for family members only Hmm

PurplePidjin · 07/02/2014 13:00

Hi mummyxtwo Brew

R is in cloth but about to go up to 18-24 - his tee shirts are looking tight and trousers are flapping round his ankles but 18-24 trousers need mega rolling up Confused maybe my jl and boden sale/charity shop bargains are different sizes to the normal sainsbugs and tesco? Gap he's out of 18-24 already, doubt I'll bother with them again tbh. He was 20lb15 at 12 months, 50th centile, and I'll get him weighed again in the next couple of weeks at 15 months. I want to know if he's still jumping up the charts and if that's of any concern to an actual apparently trained hcp, you'd think they'd flag a jump from 0-50 over 6 months just in case Hmm

Elizadoesdolittle · 07/02/2014 13:16

congratulations chasing

welcome mummyx2

My DN (just turned 6 moñths) is pretty much the same size as E. She's more chunky but E is longer. You can only really tell E is older as she's cruising around. They are both in 6-12 months clothes. Once DN is on the move they'll look the same age. E absolutely adores her though and gets so excited when she sees her. It's lovely. They are going to have a great relationship growing up with DD1 as the ring leader.

kyz hope E is taking liquids on board today.

I went to rhyme time and managed to avoid getting wet. Wonders will never cease. Right better crack on with clearing kitchen cupboards, oh the joy.

StuntNun · 07/02/2014 13:35

Eliza my nearly eight-year-old niece is exactly the same height as my eleven-year-old DS1! She's 99th percentile and he's 0.4th.

PurplePidjin · 07/02/2014 13:54

R on the 50th isn't significantly shorter than his 98th centile month-older cousin Hmm R is 76cm which is just under the 50th. Cousin is clearly chunkier even though he's been walking longer! It's fascinating, we try not to compare but it's hard not to discuss how different they are iyswim especially being so close in age

GTbaby · 07/02/2014 14:08

Thanks for sizing advice dits.

Welcome mummyxtwo

Woop woop chasing

Argh better go see to baba

ChasingDaisy · 07/02/2014 14:10

Welcome mummyxtwo Grin

I am currently sat on a rocking chair in O's room with a cuppa, chocolate and a sleeping boy on my chest Smile He has been pretty clingy this week and I felt awful for leaving him with my dad this morning to take my test, so we are both enjoying the cuddles. Big weekend coming up - O is being introduced to the BF Smile Said BF will also be here when XP comes to pick O up Hmm He has promised to refrain from breaking his legs ShockGrin

ChasingDaisy · 07/02/2014 14:12

Oh, size wise, O is wearing 12-18 month trousers and anything from 6-9 month tops upwards... He is on 50th centile for weight - very similar to Pidj's R - but 98th for height, with very long legs and a tiny torso, just like me.

ditsygal · 07/02/2014 14:47

Hi and welcome to mummyxtwo

Chasing yay well done you! one step closer to freedom of a car!

Wow, the sizes range so much at this age - it seems F is the biggest of the lot so far, i don't know how this can be, my husband is only 5,9 and i'm quite average - I think he must take after my 6ft 2 dad.

F also has 15 teeth (working on the 16th) so that combined with his size and walking skills make him look more like a 2 year old - but with no words at all!

YellowWellies · 07/02/2014 15:00

Jonas is 71cm and 25th centile for height actual and 50th centile adjusted. He's between 2nd and 9th for weight. He's born the day before your LO mummyx2 Smile.

We've just been for a walk in the woods then a spin on the swings. His new word today is "up" with arms raised when he wants a carry. Dairy seems to be wearing off other than satanic farts and comfort feeding. We did some colouring earlier and he basically just sooks the pens which messed with my Kirsty Allsopp let's get creative mellow vibe somewhat Grin

StormyIsles · 07/02/2014 15:36

Okay is it a worrying sign when you need to email a company for a price list? Despite choosing one in ikea (I think) i have just found my dream sofa - exactly what I had in my head for forever - online. Argh! where is ps credit card?

ditsygal · 07/02/2014 15:55

Arrrgghh F keeps handing me his bottle and getting distraught that I don't understand what he wants me to do with it - I've refilled it, checked waters coming out the straw. But everytime I offer it back he gets hysterical, and thrusts it back at me. I don't know what you want! I can't wait until he has words!

ditsygal · 07/02/2014 15:56

I even thought he might want milk so gave him a bottle - he drank half and has gone back to throwing the water bottle at me!

Pikz · 07/02/2014 16:03

Ditsy L is in 18-24 and 2-3 clothes. At 120th percentile for height and 98th for weight at his year check L is the size of a large 2 year old and finally starting to talk. He fits in that seat easily GT.

TheDetective · 07/02/2014 17:48

Today I finally got my 3.5 stone award at SW! Hooray! It's only taken me since the start of November to get from 3 stone to 3.5! Arghhh!

Anyway, I've done it! Grin My BMI has gone from 40 to 31! Yay!

Hi mummy! Welcome!

O has just moved up to 12-18, but tops he can wear 9-12 still if I wanted. Everything is big on his waist Hmm. I am used to that from DS1 though! I keep trying to measure his height but struggle to keep him still. Anyway, I think he is 83cm.

I'm going to sell the pram. We don't need it. I used it today and it was a pain in the ass compared to the Maclaren. Couldn't get around anywhere. He looked massive in it too. So, I'm going to sell it. Once it has been to Cosatto for the bit they are supposed to be repairing (re-call issued).

Next baby is having a pram which is compatible with a car seat base. For sure. And a pram with a hood where you can see the baby! And a raincover with access to the baby inside it!

Definitely need to get the stairgate issue sorted. DP went downstairs this morning, 3 seconds later I glanced at O, who was 3 steps down, having gone down backwards on his tummy. At least he learned, after his tumble, that mummy is right. Going down backwards is the way to go! Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 07/02/2014 18:01

Great work det you should be so proud.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 07/02/2014 18:02

Is there a linky stormy ?

Lily311 · 07/02/2014 18:08

Well done chasing and det, great achievement on weight loss? What's your target?

Welcome mummyx2

O got beaten up by my neighbour's little girl. She was emotionally destroyed by the end of the play date. Poor little one.

TheDetective · 07/02/2014 18:13

Yay Chasing! Grin Good news on the theory test, and the bf front!

I reckon you should let him break his legs. Grin

Lily I'm wavering on that. Initial target is 11st, but if I get there, and carry on finding it reasonably easy to lose weight, I'll carry on to a more healthy weight. Which is 7st 5-9st13 for my height. I was thinking of plumping for 9st8, which would be within my ideal weight, but give room for slight increases at christmas Grin. So that means I have 3 stone 1lb to lose.

Right now I am thinking I have 1 st 8lb to lose. It helps. Grin

ChasingDaisy · 07/02/2014 18:45

I'm only holding him back because O will be there Det WinkGrin Well done on the weight loss! You have amazing determination Grin

Lily, is that the same child who did it before? Poor O.

Lily311 · 07/02/2014 19:05

Yep chasing, same child. Not only she hit her many times but took brunyo (her comforter) and run away. I'm telling you she did it on purpose just to make O cry. Once she got brunyo back she kept kissing and cuddling it, stroking its nose. Was too cute.

StormyIsles · 07/02/2014 19:07

I think I have chosen my absolute favourite ever ever sofa ever. It isn't nearly as expensive as I thought. It is nearly twice as much as the other one but I love it 100000x as much - so that's okay, right? Plus all my other furniture will be eBay/Gumtree/ikea. Am I mad on colour choice? Is it as super lovely as my furniture addled brain thinks?

Will catch up on rest after work tonight.

StormyIsles · 07/02/2014 19:07

sorry, there should have been a but in there

ChasingDaisy · 07/02/2014 19:08

Oh how sweet. Remember that kid who bit Oscar at toddler group the other week? Well, this week he pushed him off a toy and took it away. Again, the mother did nothing Hmm
