Morning quiche. Windy here. Watching the news, the headlines started by saying that gusts were reported at 110kph in Paris but no major damage yet, and showed some images of temporary traffic signs which had blown over. Then they moved onto the flooded towns in Brittany, the 70000 households without electricity etc etc etc. Priorities people....

PetiteRaleuse · 07/02/2014 06:24

Ooh looks like it was a quiet night quiche wide.

StuntNun · 07/02/2014 06:41

Pidj could it be something like Raynaud's phenomenon?

PP get thee to the GP to get it checked out.

YW the dairy kicked in here too. He initially resisted bed, then was unsettled, but in his cot until 3. DH is doing sleep training (up 7 times the night before Confused) and insisted on letting him cry and cry but I put a stop to that as I was in floods of tears. With exposure to milk yesterday there was a good reason why he would not sleep! So DH took him downstairs. Rivers of snot, smelly breath, skin rash, hungry ++, wired but tired. But DH reckons it is nothing to do with the dairy, just that he had slept enough. Twat. It would have been formula that he had, he had 20mg of magic medicine before bed, so I figure that is a significant reaction.

YellowWellies · 07/02/2014 08:15

VQ exactly the same reaction here. I'm totally with you re the sleep training. He can let him cry all he likes but if they are having tummy cramps they are not going to self settle and it'll just upset everyone. We finally got him to sleep by a two pronged attack - DH drove him then I fed him and cuddled him. He was finally down by 2.45 Sad . He's just woken up by DH going to work. I'm trying to BF him down for another couple of hours or else today will be high octane!

Still he needs the occasional dairy challenge. It seems he's starting to handle dairy indirectly through me, can't handle direct exposure just yet and I'm definitely not imagining the CMPI. After two weeks of sleeping through except when cutting a tooth - the contrast couldn't be more marked.

YellowWellies · 07/02/2014 08:36

Arse he wants to start the day....

ditsygal · 07/02/2014 08:46

Yes GT - F is in 18-24 clothes. He is on the 98th centile and is just over 28lbs so a very big boy - and this chair is fine for him and reckon it will be for a while

ditsygal · 07/02/2014 08:47

GT F is 28lbs and I've just googled and thats 12kg so loads of room to grow. H would be fine I'm sure!

ditsygal · 07/02/2014 08:49

Oh and kyz lots of eating and drinking vibes being sent over for today. hugs

Elizadoesdolittle · 07/02/2014 09:13

Rain rain go away!!

E has just hit the 17lb pound mark. Always amazes me how different all the babies are.

Off to rhyme time at the library this morning. pidj So glad that some people turned up to your music class. Hopefully they will spread the word.

Brew to those in need. yw hope you get through the day ok.

Sophiathestormfairy · 07/02/2014 09:40

Da da daaaaaaaaa " the dairy challenge" up today we have j wellies aka the bear and j queen tune in to see who gets through to the semi finals.

YellowWellies · 07/02/2014 09:56

I think J Queen and J Wellies are trying to break some kind of dairy challenge record Confused .Today Jonas is off his food and just wanting boob and cuddles. I think my shower today is going to involve him and a swim nappy. Cling on alert!

Passmethecrisps · 07/02/2014 10:05

Poor wee babies. Hope they are both better soon.

Love to kyz and wee E today.

You are right eliza! P has recently hit the 20Ib mark and her cousin is now 25ib. It feels like the closest they have ever been weight wise

Sophiathestormfairy · 07/02/2014 10:13

I think we might try that with O. The swimming nappy.

He is v cling on lately, quite snotty and teeth coming through etc. Must be rough.

He bit me this morning. Quite hard. Ok, well, I I was rummaging round in his mouth to see if there was a compare bear in there.

YellowWellies · 07/02/2014 10:18

Soph compare bear has me stumped?!

Pass J is just 19lb - great for P that she's catching up with her cousin - shows the impact of having dairy back in her diet. Smile

applepieinthesky · 07/02/2014 10:37

If I remember rightly C was 23lbs the last time he was weighed (a couple of weeks ago). He is in 12-18 month clothes and between 50th and 75th centile.

Sophiathestormfairy · 07/02/2014 11:02

Compare bears are pre school, early years, maths aids. They are little bears, baby, mummy and daddy each different weight and you have a lot of them. So you can so sorting by colour, size and weight. Then you can progress to most, least etc and then you can do repeating patterns with them that get progressively harder. I have a bucket of them and try to have a short session with DS1 every week as he was using them at nursery before we moved.

Making learning fun.

Or trying to.

Demoralised about the work situation, all roads lead back to my bosses boss making some decisions and driving something forward and I am not seeing that happening at the moment. Would just like it sorted out. Feels like a massive weight on my shoulders. Should have known better than to get a bit excited this week.

Lily311 · 07/02/2014 11:10

O is in 18-24 months clothes mainly because of the cloth nappy. It's quite bulky.

She fall asleep at 11, the Moment I put her in the buggy. So undressed her and put her to sleep. She is def not herself, I think teeth nr 9 is draining her energy.

Zamboni · 07/02/2014 11:54

S was 24lbs a few months ago. He is almost as heavy as his just turned 3 big sister. About a head shorter. Wears the right age clothes (12-18 months) but 18-24 month vests, PJs and baby gros. He is long.

mummyxtwo · 07/02/2014 12:06

Hello... just wondering if I might be able to join? Dd2 was born 24th Oct 2012 so isn't actually a November baby. She was due in November though, does that count?!

YellowWellies · 07/02/2014 12:07

Soph I thought compare bear was a cryptic typo! Grin

Swim nappy shower was a great success am going to do that every day he's in a clingy mood (am thinking when teething, refluxy etc) he had lots of fun and I had a long stress free shower. He's just snoozing on me now.

Should I ditch my planned weekly choc bar and crisps given he had his own dairy challenge yesterday? Sad

After months of cruising he's been trying to stand up from a squat today. On top of the fecking coffee table. He's also fallen off the sofa arm whilst trying to swing on the door handle - which made the door move Confused . He might be a founding member of the mountain goat club but I fear I may have a Darwin Award contender Blush Blush Blush Blush

YellowWellies · 07/02/2014 12:08

mummyxtwo my wee one was the same. Pull up a chair xxx

StormyIsles · 07/02/2014 12:12

Hi mummyxtwo. I have a December baby Grin

I knew what compare bears were Wink

M hit her childminders dd this morning. I have never been so embarrassed Blush

mummyxtwo · 07/02/2014 12:15

Thanks Smile Bringing you all a Brew and Cake. Dd2 is also an active (scuse the pun) member of the mountain goat club and anything-dangerous-or-turning-mummy-grey club. On Monday she broke through the fire guard and I found her sitting in the fire place, covered in soot, brandishing a poker. I'd only nipped upstairs for a second to grab some laundry. Second attempt to get the laundry done that day resulted in dd2 climbing onto the dining table and sitting there merrily flinging things off. Managed to grab her before the laptop and nightlight holders were deposited floorwards. That'll larn me to think I can turn my back on her for two seconds! Wonder how dh will react when I tell him that laundry can no longer be part of my job description. Grin

Nice to meet you all!

ChasingDaisy · 07/02/2014 12:18

Passed my theory test Grin
