If it's any help we have just stopped using the Tripp Trapp chairs at ages 11 and 7 for DS1 and DS2 although J will be using DS2's soon as he is getting too big for his Ikea high chair. They were expensive (£90 way back then) but they certainly lasted for years and the footplate means that children don't swing and kick their legs when they're using them.

Trip trapp devotee here too! L loves being up at the proper table!

Passmethecrisps · 06/02/2014 19:37

That's like the one on used at the CM pikz. I sat her on one of the dining chairs the other day and pushed her in - most hilarious thing ever! And food is more delicious when eaten from a dining chair

Sophiathestormfairy · 06/02/2014 19:46

We have a baby dan, well, two baby dans, same concept as Tripp trapp. I think the kids behave better at the table when they are at the correct height. I am really pleased with them and hope they will be going as long as stunts

ValiumQueen · 06/02/2014 19:47

I mean the higher tax threshold, not the top one YW!

Not caught up sorry, tired beyond belief, and someone let J drink another child's milk today. Only a mouthful apparently. GfuckingRRR!!!

YellowWellies · 06/02/2014 19:58

We've had an inadvertent dairy challenge here too today VQ J was playing in the kitchen at my friends with his four (flirt!) wee girl pals from playgroup. Whilst us Mummies were blethering it turns out the babies were playing share the toast and butter Blush . Ahhh it had to happen. So far the sky has not fallen in. He didn't react to my last dairy challenge so I'm blindly hoping he's over it. We shall see. Tomorrow is my dairy challenge day and I will have cheese!

I'm in a rage with a freelance client who keeps changing his mind about what he wants and is now so far from the original scope of work it's unreal! Sodding telecon tonight at 8.40pm - I didn't finish yesterday until gone 11pm.Envy Envy Envy Envy Envy When I've saved enough for the lounge I've a mind to tell him to do it himself but then I'd not get work from his company again... sigh. I hate having to be polite when I just want to poke him in the eye and tell him he doesn't know what he's talking about Confused Hmm best not!

Evilwater · 06/02/2014 20:04

Well n has been very clingy, and I mean very clingy. He has been screaming his head off very time I leave for a sodding pee.
I think his back teeth are moving, he's not been like himself. It dosn't help that the weather has been boldly wet.

For fuck sake stop fucking rainning.

ditsygal · 06/02/2014 20:42

We use the same one as pikz. Its quite cheap, easy to clean and seems to do the job well. We only bought it for whilst we were on hols when he was 6 months, but seemed silly to buy another once I decided to take the highchair down.

StormyIsles · 06/02/2014 20:48

My mum has a booster seat thing for M that we bought in mothercare. M loves it! As my mum refuses to have a highchair or babygate, fire guard, anything baby related in her house it was a good compromise.

Good luck tomorrow chasing - you'll be fine Grin

YW joys of self employment. I personally wouldn't say anything; given how well you are being paid for it, I would just grit my teeth and get on have had to do similar in the past with well paying but irrational clients. I am v. impressed with your tax status: I am averaging 60 - 65 hours a week atm and just scraping into it. Just. Blush

Just paid the rest of the deposit and first months rent on my house Grin - I am sooo excited it's unreal!!!

Kyz · 06/02/2014 20:51

Hi guys...

Thankyou for all your lovely well wishes and comments, you all made me teary with all the hugs, I sure could do with hugs! Been a mixed day today, I rang the doctors this morning because E cried out alot during the night and then this morning he had developed a rash, and he was still refusing to eat and drink anything. I just thought he'd have improved some already you know? He has had me pretty worried! Took him doctors at 10:30 and when I got there he was covered in the rash, made me panic for a bit! They think he is allergic to penicillin so gave him erythromicin (sp?) and said not to give him anymore penicillin. Luckily I have gotten him to take about 8oz fluids today and he even ate a bit of cheese and a yoghurt. He is back in bed, all he does is sleep poor boy :(. His temperature isn't up but they're saying that if we can't get him to eat and drink I'm to take him back tomorrow afternoon to the gp, and he will possibly need to go to hospital to be put on a drip. So quiche can I have some vibes for drinking and perhaps a bit of eating for E for tomorrow please? He has definitely had more today than the past few days, so maybe tomorow will be better?

Wow pr sounds like LO is coming along in leaps and bounds with her development!

I don't even think I could do a forward roll now

I too kiss E alot, especially atm.

Gosh bplp hope she's better soon, poor little mite!

Oh bless him chasing hope O is better soon too

Have the same chair as pikz here too

Sorry guys, not very epic I know x

Passmethecrisps · 06/02/2014 21:11

You are always epic kyz

ValiumQueen · 06/02/2014 21:22

EpiKyz indeed. Poor wee E, and poor you. I do hope he picks up soon. That sounds horrid. Is he weeing?

Lily311 · 06/02/2014 21:38

Oh gosh, kyz, what a nightmare. I hope wee E will recover soon.

Pikz · 06/02/2014 21:58

Big love to you Kyz and E

Hoping not to see L five times tonight. Ridiculous molars

Sophiathestormfairy · 06/02/2014 22:05

Love to you kyz you must be exhausted. Thanks

Sophiathestormfairy · 06/02/2014 22:06

Wangs over some sleepy dust to our teething buddies.

YellowWellies · 06/02/2014 22:07

Feeding vibes being sent to E Kyz

Isles good advice. Teeth were duly gritted. I did point out that nothing he is dicking us around with is in writing, he's taking the scope off on a merry dance of his own and risks producing something totally different to what the client has asked for and I'd like my reservations on record. He is a nightmare but thankfully only loosely affiliated with my main client so I'll hopefully not have to work with him again. Am now Wine Wine Wine Wine Wine

But yes a thoroughly first world problem Blush ! Hurrah on the house.

Elizadoesdolittle · 06/02/2014 22:25

We have tripp trapps here too. DD1 still using her's and will be for quite some time I would imagine and E seems very content in hers too. I bought DD1's brand new but got E's on ebay for £50 and looked almost new.

The weigh in went well. She is still on 2nd centile, just. As long as she doesn't drop off that she'll be fine. Thanks for asking zamboni.

kyz Sending you lots of drinking and feeding vibes for E. Hopefully the fact he has drank some milk today is a sign that he's on the mend.

BigPigLittlePig · 06/02/2014 22:52

Am afloat, just, but soggy.

Sending good luck vibes the way of kyz and chasing.

Night all.
Zzzzzzzzzz

PurplePidjin · 06/02/2014 23:06

Does anyone know why my hands are blue? I haven't touched blueberries or dyed anything. I'm shattered from several difficult nights but nowhere near previous levels of sleep deprivation. I'm in bed with a hot water bottle and they're still not right Hmm am slightly light headed but breathing normally. Been like it since 4:30ish. Weird.

YellowWellies · 06/02/2014 23:44

Ack the dairy has kicked in. One wired, discomforted bear who is so cross about being unable to sleep. Just spent all of Question Time with him on my lap stroking my face and yawning.

Pidj blue hands no clue? Have you been carrying any blue carrier bags or on a bike with new handle grips? Hmm

GTbaby · 07/02/2014 00:37

Pikz and dits H is in clothes for a 2year old... Will this chair be ok in terms of size?

I would love the trip traps but house is on big enough for more stuff.

I bought a new play Matt other day for A. Bit late as he is 4months. But it is space themed. I couldn't resist! Figured he can play with all the hanging toys and then the mat part can go in H room as a kinda rug. Lol

GTbaby · 07/02/2014 00:38

I ask as I have no idea what H weighs and no idea roughly what a 22kg kid would look like.
